im beginning to realise the british 'right' is not as universal a concept as i thought it was

i mean. clue's in the name, i guess. anyway. the british 'right' should probably be written 'right!' bc you gotta exclaim that baby

'right!' is a sort of. decisive turn of phrase, basically.

like. you could use 'right!' in a party where you're in a conversation you really don't want to be in and you're like 'right! well this was lovely, sharon, but i've got to go deworm my dog, so...'

but you could also be about to. idk. get into a fight and they're like 'hey your mum sucks' and you're like 'right!' which in this case does not mean 'you're correct', but more 'oh is that how it's gonna be? well im about to punch you buster, so there'

but it's like. polite conversation. or for posh people. you'd probably get laughed at if you used it in the latter kind of way but it IS possible

#shaking my head. cant believe you dont know about the power of 'right!'#traditionally used by mothers wrapping up conversations (that are about to go on for another two hours anyway)

i know TECHNICALLY my self insert should be like. an idealised version of me. but it just so funny to me how terrible i would be in a wbg based scenario. like.

- i have NO physical fitness. i can't lift shit and i can run for maybe four seconds before i start getting stitches

- i am so so scared of everything. i have cried over having to send an email. i would be in tears within seconds SORRYYY

- i have No helpful knowledge whatsoever. i took like a chemistry class when i was 13 and ive watched a lot of red dwarf. that's it. unless i turn up in "The Treachery of Images" By Réne Magritte/The Unification of Germany up to 1871/The Industrial Revolution and its Impacts on Britain/Obscure Deltarune Knowlege/ Will Protect Us, uh, you're fucked. sorryyy.

- i live in a very small house that i never leave on my own except like once in a blue moon so the moment i got involved in time travel or smth my parents would know. so fucking fast. plus i live in a tiny village and news spreads SO quickly so that's like 200-300 people who are immediately going to become aware of my absence/sawing off of my arm/etc. not exactly 'low profile'. also im shit at keeping secrets.

- i am a high school student. i have homework to do, mr betteridge sir. HEY I HAVE COLLEGE TO GO TO. WHAT DO YOU MEAN ILL HAVE TO MISS THAT. insane i want to go home now actually.

- im trying to think of ANYTHING i could bring to the table. i don't even think id be a decent human shield.

- maybe i can walk their dogs. ive never really walked a dog before. ok! maybe not then.

- um. how the fuck would i even idealise any of this. oh and ive never dated anyone. i have literally no beef with anybody. good luck giving me a first challenge at all ryannnn <3

- i have rudimentary programming knowledge but nothing. uh. actually helpful in any regard. i know archery and fencing but those also do not crop up often.

- also im such a brownnose that id probably just defer to ty immediately SORRYYYYYY
