And oh, yeah, I got married like six months ago so that’s been pretty cool
Lying in bed next to my snoozing husband, I miss this blog, maybe I’ll have to revamp it, bring it back, especially since aforementioned husband is leaving for 6 weeks or so here soon :(
Sorry I’ve been gone for a year or two now, I miss you all and think about you frequently, I love looking through all of this, seeing how I still get love for my internet writing almost daily.
Anyways. I’ll let you guys know if I do make a comeback. I’m still dragging myself through college so, it’s time I don’t have, but also writing therapy has always helped me.
Love you all, miss you all.

Employer’s Daughter (Chapter 7)
Chapter Six
Somewhere in the chaos of your disappearance Vanessa had been discharged, meaning that as soon as your father saw you were safe Francis swept you into a car accompanied by your father and his girlfriend.
“You have stitches? How badly did he hurt you? It was that Masked Devil wasn’t it?”
Your father’s paternal instinct was so unlike any other side of him, usually it amused you but you were too distracted currently to be amused.
“It was him, but I’m fine he didn’t hurt me, I tripped trying to get away, sliced my arm on my knife.” You mumbled trying to be attentive.
Your father shook his head, partially because he was hardly surprised at your confession, partially because he didn’t want to believe the man had NOT hurt you.
“And you’re sure he didn’t get any information from you?”
“Positive. I don’t know any to give him.”
You couldn’t ask where Wesley was and that was perhaps the most annoying part of this interrogation.
“And you’re not hurt anywhere else?”
If only he cared about other people this much…
“Nope.”
Usually your father would’ve corrected the overly casual answer that slipped out in your distracted haze but this time he only had a slight smirk tugging at his lip.
“Wesley is in the other car. You may see him when we arrive at home.”
Knowing your father’s temper as well as you did you couldn’t help but think ‘Oh good. He is still alive’. But you also couldn’t help the blush that spread across your face at your father’s acknowledgement of what was going on.
“You know Y/N… in all the years James has worked for me I have never seem him particularly… distressed…”
You had no idea where this was going but had a feeling you were going to finally get something to hold over Wesley’s smug head.
“But today, when you were missing, I would almost think he was more upset than I was.”
Wilson Fisk actually chuckled at something. Something that wasn’t someone he hated getting their head blown off. Maybe the whiskey you’d drank earlier was stronger than you thought.
“Now, as you know, Wesley is my best assistant and I couldn’t stand to lose him, so if you choose to break his heart, do so gently.”
You smirked, typically the guy got the lecture on breaking hearts. But it was understood that if James Wesley broke your heart, you father would break his right back – along with every bone in his body.
Twice.
“Vanessa and I will be heading to dinner tonight once we get ready. To celebrate her release and your safety.”
“Will I be joining as well…?”
It was partially celebrating you after all.
“Only if you absolutely want to, however, Francis will be going with us. I figured James could use a night off after the day he has had, and that after your experience today you would also prefer to stay in and.. watch Netflix or whatever it is you do these days.”
This felt like a strange trap. It almost seemed like your father, Wilson Fisk no less, was granting you permission to stay in that night with your (sort of) boyfriend. Boyfriend who also happened to be his right-hand man, and the man who’d inadvertently allowed your kidnapping today.
“Staying in sounds great. Thank you, Father.”
“Of course, anything your you my dearest”
With a hint of a smile and a nod, your father got out of the car with Vanessa and Francis, leaving you alone to wonder if you had just imagined that whole ride.
I was going to have the Reader/Wesley reunion in this chapter but then I figured I’d just have a long Chapter Eight that’s reunion and them hanging out or whatever they decide to get up to *wink, wink*

Omg hey! I just found out your back and I’m so happy about that! Your Wesley fics really help me cope at the moment (I just recently discovered my love for him after watching Daredevil) and I really hope you can find the motivation and time to write some more! I‘ll read anything really ❤️
Hey! I am back and barring anything totally unexpected think I am back for quite a bit (maybe a short break to celebrate a deployment homecoming (one month!!) but honestly he’ll probably just sleep and eat and be jet lagged while I’m the only excited one in this state so lol @ him for that)
But I’m so glad to hear that my writing is helping you cope!
You said you’ll read anything, but is there anything particular you’d like to read??(:

Employer’s Daughter (Chapter 6)
Part Five if you need a refresher (I sure did!)
Six - Smart Devil
“No. Life taught me that.”
Your words echoed in Matt Murdock’s ear as he fought the feeling that there was something irritatingly likable about his enemy’s daughter. Although he could sense the ego you held, he could also sense that a large part of it was simply for show, a defense mechanism from the life you’d been forced to lead.
Matt watched while Claire finished stitching you up, obviously a little unnerved by your presence in her apartment.
“Aren’t you going to beat me up like you did Wesley? Insist I give you answers, not that I have them.”
When you were nervous words tended to leave your mouth without much thought and right now you were VERY nervous that his Masked Man might just kill you for answers.
“No, I know you were telling the truth, you know very little, if anything about your father’s plans.”
He spoke with such confidence in this that it was almost spooky, like he had some kind of fifth sense about these things – but between the alcohol they’d given you for the pain and the pain itself you were too tired to question him any further.   ~
“Francis, find my daughter!” Your furious father bellowed through the phone at the man who had spent the last two hours combing the city for your whereabouts.
“She’ll be okay Wilson” Vanessa cooed, trying to prevent the large man in front of her from going nuclear.
Wesley was beside himself but doing his best to seem only as concerned as the rest of Fisk’s employees. Vanessa fell for the act, confused as to why the man responsible for your disappearance could be sharing air with Wilson Fisk at the moment. What Vanessa didn’t know was that despite multiple (serious) character flaws that would forever prevent Wilson Fisk from winning a father of the year award, he did in fact know his daughter was falling in love with (and he had suspicions even sleeping with) his suspicions. The thought of anyone sleeping with his daughter was usually cause enough to murder the man in question, however, James Wesley was not just any man. Wilson Fisk’s fondness for Wesley and the concern for you he was failing to hide was enough to prevent Fisk from smashing his head in – so long as you were found alive. ~
“You know you’re awfully trusting, and casual, for a man going up against my father.” You quipped, walking alongside the Devil on the way back to the hospital.
“You told me you’d keep Claire anonymous and I believe you.” He left it at that, pausing to tilt his head in an odd fashion; much like an attentive dog, every now and then.
“And you believe me? Wilson Fisk’s daughter of all people?” You just wanted to know how this guy could be alive when he was this trusting, especially in such a shady neighborhood.
Matt couldn’t help but let out a laugh, he knew you were just talking because of your nerves, seemed the only one with trust issues was you.
“I do. Is it really that crazy to still have just a little bit of faith in humanity? You said yourself you are not your father, and I’m letting you prove that to me.”
You let out a sigh. You hated to admit it but he made a great point. You weren’t your father, you weren’t going to let the kind nurse be killed for actions that were not necessarily of her own choosing.
He was a smart devil, and you were honestly a bit sad when your stroll came to an end. The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen may be your father’s enemy and he may have taken you hostage, but he kept his word and listened to you, and believed you – more than you could say for most of your father’s men. Too bad he was on the opposing side or you felt that maybe you two could have even been classified as friends.
“Well, guess this is where we part ways.” You stated, noting your arrival in the ambulance bay.
“Do you know how to get back to the others?” The Devil asked, as if he had some genuine concern for your safety.
“I’m a big girl, I think I can manage. Until next time Masked Mike.” You grinned, receiving a curt nod from the man in the mask.
“Until next time,’ he paused, ‘but you know, my real name isn’t Mike.”
“I know, but I also know there’s no chance in hell you’re going to tell me your real name so Mike will have to do. Unless you prefer Devil as a first name?”
“Mike it is then.” This time is was his turn to grin as you both parted ways, a little unsure how to feel of your almost friendly banter. ~
“I just need to know who that girl is…” Karen mumbled nose deep in her computer trying to figure out who the mystery girl who possibly saved her life (or that prick of an assistant’s life) was.
Matt Murdock however knew exactly who you were. Y/N Fisk. Wilson Fisk’s daughter. However, knowing this information and sharing it with Karen would blow his devilish secret.
“The way she clings to his side… that’s got to mean something.” Karen’s attention had obviously turned to the news that was playing quietly in the background, Fisk and crew speaking about their latest “success” in improving Hell’s Kitchen.
“Hm?” Matt asked, hoping Karen would fill him in on the visuals he couldn’t piece together through a television.
“The girl, the one that pulled the gun away from the assistant, she’s all but hanging off his side. They have to be together.”
“Fisk’s side? Perhaps she’s like his daughter or something?” Matt pressed, trying to lead Karen to discover what he already knew.
“No, no. James Wesley’s side, must be his girlfriend or something.”
Oh, you hanging off Wesley’s side wasn’t going to guide her to anything but what she already knew, the two of you were somehow involved.
“Isn’t it a bit odd to you that Wilson Fisk would let some random girlfriend be on the news with them? What makes her worthy of the protection that Fisk and those closest to him are under?”
Matt could almost hear Karen taking his point into consideration.
“That’s a good point… I’ll keep digging see if anything about him having a daughter pops up.”
Matt smirked contently to himself, keeping his secret wasn’t always easy but he always felt a certain amount of pride when he was able to guide people to the truth without revealing his methods.
A/N: There’s proabably hella continuity errors, but I could not for the life of me find parts one and two so, sorry for them if you find any
