I don’t think many people realize just how much a win Glimmer x Bow being canon is for bisexuals. Not “it’s mediocre,” not, “it’s a straight passing ship so that’s boring, but they’re both bi so it’s less boring,” and definitely not “it’s the next best thing to Glimmer ending up with Adora or Catra; she should’ve had a girlfriend instead, but this is the next best thing.”

Glimbow is not a “second pick,” it’s not any less vital of positive bisexual rep just because they’re a male/female pairing. Glimbow is a huge success. They’re both canonically bi on screen, not just confirmed afterwards by a writer on Twitter, and they’re a healthy, loving relationship. Them being “straight-passing” does not make them any less bi, because guess what? Bisexuals aren’t homosexuals in disguise. They’re not a sub-category of gay. They aren’t breaking some kind of queer code by falling in love with the opposite gender. They’re a part of the LGBTQ community (mind you, the “b” literally stands for bi), and they sure as hell aren’t any less of a bisexual when in a straight passing relationship.
