Hi!!
Just popping in to say it's Saturday!! Later today I'll be pulling 31 prompts from a hat (prompts from here and instagram), so if you haven't left a comment yet, please comment your idea for a mermay prompt!
When im ready to start making the list, ill update this post to say that submissions are closed. Probably in a few ish hours.
I think it'd be cool to do mermay, cuz I want to compile the drawings in a zine! Plus I've always viewed mermay as the easiest art challenge month. You just draw pretty girls (if that's your preference, obviously you could be more creative with it if you want) and then the posing is super easy, cuz you don't have to bother drawing their legs. You can just get reeeeal lazy below the waist. But I wasn't vibing with the official prompt list, and I didn't really want to use someone elses… I figured it would be more fun to get other people involved!
SO! Please comment with a one word prompt! I'll be compiling all the submitted prompt words at the end of the week (Saturday) and pulling from a hat one word for each day of May.
Absolutely NO promises that I finish this. Holy heck. You should know by now that I am not reliable. Also I absolutely will be fudging the whole "daily" thing, I'll probably start drawing the prompts in april, and finish them in (hopefully) june. I just really want to do this, and I'm not going to be a stickler for the timing of everything. You know dang well I have commissions n stuff to work on too.

When I rewatched all the episodes last year, I deciced that frycook was my favorite episode... but I'm starting to think that game slave 2 is. I think about it ALL the time. I'd say not a day has gone by that I haven't thought about gaz stalking and terrorizing iggins - that may be exaggerating - but only a little.
Also Iggins is so fucking terrible and I love him so much. There is no iggins content and I have to make it myself :'D I kind of wanted this drawing to be prettier but I ran out of gas tonight and got impatient. I hope you like it anyway :)

Psst, hey,
Would anyone be interested in commissioning me, knowing there'd be a majorly long wait? Like two months potentially?
I just took a bunch of comms today to help me afford a really expensive table at a big convention, but there's actually ANOTHER convention table that I need to pay for on the same day by some miraculous coincidence. I think I can afford the massively expensive one, but I was spread super thin by it and now I don't have any change left for that second one. I might ask them for some sort of extension, but idk if they'd be so forgiving.

Dibs turn!!! Everyone's least favorite boy genius!!
No fancy spread and not as many drawings as gaz, because I was struggling with drawing him for some reason. I really wanted to make some more action poses for him, but something wasn't clicking. And coloring just the first one had me gassed out so I didn't feel like doing the rest :') But of course I didn't want to sit on these so HERE HE IS!!

I've been waiting to share this for a while!! My design for an "older" Gaz. Of course, I love love love experimenting with any and all my invader zim fanart stuff, so any design I give these characters is subject to change. She's supposed to be a young adult, but since I didn't change her much, I think most people would assume she's a teen. I guess I don't like changing cartoon characters designs; I feel like there's a certain vibe they have as they are, and I don't want to mess with it. Besides, she has to stay short, it means she's closer to hell that way :'D
I also drew Dib of course! It's just that I don't have as many drawings of him, and they aren't all colored. I really want to do more action poses for him before I call his character board truly finished - but he's dang ol' hard to draw!! For some reason I don't understand. Because I draw him all the time. I think that's what kept me from sharing gaz, because these have been done for a long long time, but I wanted to post them together.
I think I'll share what I have of dib anyway. Soon :)

i’ve been getting back into invader zim - esp zadr - recently and i’ve gotta say you’re the reason for it. your iz stuff is SO good. you capture the original energy while bringing such style to it. your designs of the characters are so good, and looking at your art is so inspiring and honestly makes me want to get back into traditional. speaking of - your pencil work is PHENOMENAL!!! All this to say you inspire me a lot and i love seeing your iz and zadr stuff. have a lovely day :3
OUGGHHHHHGHGHH goodness gracious that is so kind... thank you so much. :') It really means a lot to hear that! I know it is silly, because it's just a nostalgic childhood show, and in the grand scheme of things - considering the impact my zim drawings have on the trajectory of my career as an artist - it's not making many waves. But it's surprising how it's turned into this outlet of creative experimentation for me. It's kind of made me stop and ask myself what kind of art I really like creating. And of course I love sharing the stuff I make with everyone here. And I'm really happy I could be a source of inspiration for you!!

All these drawings are really really old by now, but like I said in the last post, I wanna share as an act of pseudo backwards self care, because although I love sharing this stuff and seeing your reaction, I'm also horrifically embarrassed and mortified with myself for actually posting these. If you follow my tumblr you're a real one. You see the stuff other people don't. But with great power comes great responsibility so BE NICE 2 MEEEE!!!! 😭 pleas don't tease me
Also I hate the fact that I need to say this, but the iz fandom has such a weird fucking climate, and to hopefully prevent 30% of the anons I get from feeling like they need to say something, please know that anytime I draw dib as an adult, zim is also an adult and vice versa, and anytime I draw dib as a kid, so is zim, and vice versa.
