October 20, 2017-To finish off the work week of Homecoming 2017 at Illinois State University alumni from all of the colleges were welcomed back to campus for the Alumni Day Luncheon. The alumni king and queen were crowned and alumna Julie Jones spoke about her ISU experiences. 

October 20, 2017-Today marked new beginnings for the Diversity Advocacy office on campus as they cut the ribbon for their new office in the Bone Student Center.

October 19, 2017-Day 3 of Homecoming 2017 at Illinois State featured the Gamma Phi Circus performances, world renowned, 70 time world record holder, sword swallower Brad Byers, and balloon and henna tattoo artists. October 17, 2017-Day 2 of Homecoming started with the annual Faculty/Staff Appreciation Luncheon where the winners of the campus decorating contest are awarded. October 16, 2017-Homecoming 2017 at Illinois State University kicked off with students celebrating school spirit while enjoying entertainment, a sundae bar, the announcement of the homecoming court, and performances by ISU dance teams. The day concluded with the Uptown Tree Lighting Ceremony in Uptown Normal where ISU President Larry Dietz and Town or Normal Mayor Chris Koos flipped the switch to light the trees throughout Uptown Normal. October, 17, 2016-Students, faculty, and staff gathered on the Quad for prayer, song, reflection, and unity for a Black Lives Matter Candlelight Vigil.

October 6, 2016-Faculty and Staff enjoyed a free lunch, took photos in a photo booth, and campus decorating winner were announced at the Faculty/Staff Appreciation Lunch in celebration of Homecoming.

October 6, 2016-Homecoming festivities on Wednesday featured the Gamma Phi Circus at the Carnival as well as lemonade shakeups, funnel cakes, balloon artist, henna tattoos, and a variety of other games and activities.

September 15, 2016-President Larry Dietz delivered the State of the University address at the Center for the Performing Arts. Dietz stated that the University remains strong and stable despite an ongoing state budget crisis that has had a devastating impact on public higher education in Illinois.
