Podcasters Needed

Hi everyone! Hope you guys have enjoyed my blog. I’m reaching out to the general community to see if there’s anyone on here interested in being a part of a podcast project between myself and @arlen-oliver .

We’re working on two serial fiction podcasts (and subsequently creating a production company to put them out); one is fantasy, the other is sci-fi. Given that this is a huge undertaking, we’re looking to see if anyone outside of our small sphere of real-life people would be willing to get involved. We’re looking for voice actors, editors, artists, or a mix of all three or someone who wants to do something entirely new.

I had it pinned at the top of my tumblr for several months and just unpinned it before the new year lol. Honestly, the fact that folks still read it is a massive pleasant surprise. Thank you for enjoying that fic. 🖤

i was going to submit this anonymously to the confessions blog or whatever but given they’ve platformed children whining over the fact that erik has a paywall to begin with, i’m not confident it’ll even be posted and also i’m okay saying this with my whole chest: nobody in this fandom should be finding ways to skirt paying for content that erik has put behind a paywall. “free” patreon and other sites that host his patreon exclusive content should be reported. i’ve seen asmr creators and visual artists leave spaces and stop posting because their hard work has been put up on tiktok or soundcloud or other platforms and that’s the risk you take uploading his audios to these sites.

if you care about erik at all as a creator, you should respect his boundaries. every artist has a right to use patreon like that, they have a right to charge for their work. the ONLY audios you have to pay for are the nsfw ones, and from what i’ve seen it’s people under the age of 18 on here sharing the “free” patreon links with others which is ANOTHER boundary crossed. those audios are nsfw and 18+. if you’re under the age of 18, you have no right to listen to those audios. i get that it’s the internet and you have an entire world of nsfw content at your fingers, i was under the age of 18 on the internet as well so this is going in one ear and out the other. but his content is age restricted for a REASON. he’s put the BAs behind a paywall for a REASON. it’s HIS art, it’s his time and energy he put into creating this thing for other adults to listen to.

also, the idea that he’s already got a job so this is just added income and he’s making sooo much money from it that it’s okay to find ways to listen to the audios without paying (or being 18+) is a horrible mindset to have. he’s an artist, this is his art. this is the world he’s crafted, with characters he’s created and he’s sharing it because it’s stories he wants to tell. he has every right to put whatever he wants behind a paywall, but the ONLY thing that gets put behind it is the BAs, early access and things like previews.

I’m sitting here wondering what Freelancer’s voice sounded like in the inversion. Wondering if Gavin listened to them with the grief of knowing they might die, with rapturous attention to capture every single detail, bottle every last moment he might drown himself in if he looses them. I wonder if Freelancer sits with him under that tiny ward and begs for Gavin to stay with them, to keep focusing on their voice, holding him as tight as they can to their chest and fears losing the most important person in their life to all-consuming magic. Do we think their voice cracks as they ask him to hold on, to ground himself in them? Do they clutch tight, and he tries, desperately, endlessly to memorize even the feeling of their fingertips upon his shoulders?

And do you think Gavin realizes that Freelancer isn’t begging him to stay for their own life - they aren’t afraid for themselves or what happens when he loses his grasp. If he knows that, more than anything, they’re afraid for him, they couldn’t care less what happens to the rest of the world, they are just as focused on him, on his life, his light, his aura and every thread that composes his body. They are so much more worried about losing him than anything else in that moment. Do you think he knows that?

If Asher’s audio storyline has taught me anything, it’s that we NEED to normalize proposing to men! This has been the most wholesome experience I’ve ever had, and I love Asher and Baabe so much I might cry.

been watching the knight before christmas (arguably the best netflix christmas film) and got distracted thinking about a rad bouquet au wherein sir damien, knight of the citadel, is interrupted mid-duel with lord arum by a mysterious old crone (quanyii ? who would probably be horrified by the "old" descriptor) and given the (unwelcome) news that, in order to become a true knight, he has until christmas eve (yule? i cant remember the second citadel winter festival). the witch is incredibly vague about What this quest might be, and before damien has a chance to get some real answers she disappears, and promptly sends damien to ... i guess citadel geography still, but several hundred years later. arum was most likely not meant to be involved at all, but they were mid-duel, so what's he supposed to do, let damien escape?? so now both damien and arum are somewhere in the modern day citadel, a matter of days before christmas yule the winter festival, with no idea how they got here or how to get home. damien, surrounded by more flashing lights and music than he has ever seen in one place, immediately has a panic attack, and arum is helplessly trying to get him to calm down, when rilla, a science teacher at the local high school, finds them. and sure, these guys are in some wierd get-up, but one of them is clearly distressed and his - boyfriend? partner? seems to be almost as stressed, and hey, rilla knows how to deal with panic attacks. it quickly becomes apparent that neither of them know where they are, or possibly even who they are, because all either of them can give her is "Sir Damien, Knight of the Second Citadel" and "Lord Arum, He Who Rules the Swamp of Titan's Bloom", neither of which seem like legally valid names. so rilla calls her brother, a member of the local ... police force, i guess, to try to track down an address, or emergency contact, and get these two very committed medieval re-enactors home. except according to every database marc can legally access (and one or two he technically cant), neither of these men exist, like, at all. which also means neither of them have anywhere to stay, other than the police station, and rilla feels bad about just leaving them there, so she ... sets them up in her parents old guest house. so now she's got a guy who's convinced he's an old-timey knight and a lizard man with four arms staying in her guest house, and they keep swearing their duty to kill one another but neither of them seem particularly eager to do so. and it's like. 4 days until christmas, and rilla is really wondering how she ended up here

And I need to shine a spotlight on how liberal Damien is with “I love you’s”. Damien is the one initiating the “I love you’s” majority of the time.
