Chaol POV where he lowkey realises how he feels. This isn’t the only reason this scene always makes my chest ache though, it just makes me love Chaol even more because to me it means so much more than it first lets on, and if I had to show someone one page of these books which explains Chaol, this would be one of the top picks.

Chaol and Celaena at the Yulemas Ball, with a distinct lack of dancing and plenty of scowling. But there wasn’t only this, there was honesty and understanding, for both the characters and us the readers. This scene was one of my absolute favourites, and the amazing @linneart captured it so perfectly, so go check out her other stuff too!

Chaol realises how much Celaena has been through, how strong she is, and how much he trusts her. This scene is also one of my favourites because it also shows just how important Dorian is to Chaol, and how loyal he is to protecting Dorian, from anything.

Chaol tells Celaena that he would leave Adarlan with her. This isn’t just an important scene because of the beautiful moment shared between Chaol and Celaena, but it also represents a change in Chaol. He is starting to realise that blind loyalty to Adarlan’s isn’t as straight forward and right as he once thought, he is realising other loyalties are possible too.

Chaol and Celaena go to the Yulemas service and both fall asleep. This is just a cute and funny scene between the two that I really loved when first reading the books, and still do love. It’s easy going and good to remember in the midst of the seriousness of their lives now.

Chaol gives Celaena the strength and willpower to go on and fight Cain to become the King of Adarlan’s Champion. This scene had me crying real tears guys, the emotion and connection between both of them is indescribable, a very powerful moment. But not just for them together but for Chaol himself, this moment represents a real change in him. Which is why this is one of my top favourite moments for the whole series. Again, @linneart has captured this moment perfectly, go give her some love too!
