Low Energy Devotional Activities and Ways to Connect with the Gods
Let's be honest, religion and consistent practice can be HARD, especially when you're chronically ill, disabled, mentally ill or neurodivergent. This is a list of lower energy practices you can do to connect with your Gods when you're having a rough day.
Pray. You don't have to say the prayer. You don't have to do the full cleansing and offering. Just think about the prayer. It could be as simple as "'Deity Name', thank you. I'm thinking of you and appreciate you."
Dedicate any self care you do to the Gods. You've got to take meds? awesome. it's now a devotional activity.
If you can, light a tea light candle. You can think about who you're dedicating it to as you're lighting it.
Tell them about your day. Have a simple conversation with them (again, this can be in your head if needed).
Offer some water! Water is a great offering if you don’t have the energy to cook, collect or buy something.
Incense is also a great offering because you can light it then forget about it and your house won’t burn down (if you follow regular safety measures). 
Resting. Your deities want you to be okay. Dedicating your rest to your deities is especially great if you feel guilty for allowing yourself time to heal.
Turn on a video of someone reading mythos! 
Put on a deity playlist. There are plenty of pre-made ones on Spotify. 
Veil or bind your hair! Whenever I’m low energy I’ll throw my hair in a ponytail and bind it that way. It doesn’t have to be extravagant. 
Make a Pinterest board for them!
Post on a digital altar! There are plenty of discord servers that have digital altars and temples. You could also make a devotional Tumblr blog. 
Change your phone lock/home screen to something that reminds you of your Deity.
I hope this is helpful to anyone who needs it! Take care of yourself first and foremost. If you don't think you can manage something on this list then thats perfectly fine too! you're not a bad person for not being able to do something spiritual or religious. Ultimately, these things are not a necessity. Don't stress :)

The “Pillars of Hellenismos” never really existed.
And by that, I mean the ancient Greeks weren’t taught something called the  “Pillars” of their religion. Their religion had no name, and religious practices were embedded in their culture. People learned about religion and correct behavior from their family and friends, and through participation in worship from a young age. What we know as the “Pillars of Hellenismos” were taught through modeled religious and ethical behavior.
Our modern “Pillars of Hellenismos” originated and are drawn from the virtues taught in ancient Greek philosophy, especially that of Plato and Aristotle. The virtues differ somewhat from list to list, because the various philosophers emphasized different virtues in their works, but the lists generally overlap.
Although much in the way of religious ritual has been lost, quite a bit of ancient philosophy was saved and adopted by Christians, so we are able to identify and reconstruct the ethical and moral values of ancient Hellenic religion. These virtues are what have become known as the “Pillars of Hellenismos”.
Everyone ends up with their own list of “Pillars”; these are mine:
Kharis - giving without expectation of return, and gratitude for benevolence received
Eusebia - reverence and duty toward the Gods
Arete - striving to live to one’s fullest potential
Hagneia - spiritual and ritual purity
Sophia - the pursuit of wisdom and understanding
Sophrosune - self-control
Xenia - hospitality, generosity and courtesy

A film set to unwinnable expectations. Too “woke” for having Halle Bailey play Ariel; not “woke” enough because it is still a classic fairytale written by Hans Christian Andersen in 1837, where a princess falls in-love with a prince.
What I saw was a fabulous live-action adaptation. The acting & music is truly on-point.
Disney also added backstory to the Prince, which was very worthwhile storytelling. Visually, it was a stunning movie. The water effects on the hair are a sight-to-behold. And if you’ve seen Pirates of the Caribbean, it is that style/mood mixed with Disney magic & great songs.
Though the 2023 live-action will never be our cartoon imagination from childhood, the original film from 1989 will always be there for us to watch over-and-over again.
However, if you watch the other live-action Disney adaptations, this one truly is the best one by far. Some just want to hate it for whatever reason.
Halle Bailey did a phenomenal job as Ariel & I saw many African American kids in the audience at the theatre. Representation matters ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Go see The Little Mermaid!! It is the right film for the moment — a moment where Disney is being banned in Florida.
Sing & celebrate under the sea with this truly amazing film!! Go Halle Go!! Our Disney heroine 🧜🏾‍♀️
