I sketched this out a week ago, but trying to color it reminds me of someone I can’t stand, and is making the ptsd stuff harder to hold back. Instead of having him stare at me for a week, you guys can color it. Don't redistribute on other sites, and you can post colored versions as long as the two JSTYX signatures are intact, and you credit me as JSTYX in the text.

Aah-- dammit. Weeks of not being able to draw, and THIS is what I get.

Miraculous Ladybug for Advanced Inking Techniques. Since I have to double check the status of whether or not this counts for one of my assignments, I might as well share an uncleaned photo for now!

Midori expressions sketch Midori (from the story of the same name) has been the most difficult to study, because I had such a hard time drawing her with consistency. But I think I've got it down-- a head taller than it is wide, eyes with angled end points, an ideal nose lining up with the eye corners, and a mouth that guides the jaw around. Diamond face, not too sharp, not too round, and topped by an angled hairline. Oh yeah, and the little mole under the eye that's most often shown. just right for implying cheeks! Maybe I can get her hair or body down next...

If you’re interested in developing diversity in face shapes, but don’t quite get the concept yet, take a look at this! I’ve been developing some systems and resources for my senior project as a Sequential Art student at SCAD, and this is one of them-- a way to begin understanding how to sculpt the face in terms of proportions and relations. The final will have more information on it, but this is a neat little sheet to practice expressions and faces!
Please reblog from here, and don’t share the original *leans in and whispers* this is just from you to me, okay?), but feel free to download and practice with it, or give it to a friend!

Sketch from the True Tail (Pencils by  Amy Hensley-Davies)
Tried coloring a sketch demo from the flash workshops I’ve been taking-- by no means an official thing, just for fanfun. Working on merging the various illustration styles I’ve been going for over the last 2 years, and feeling pretty good! Maybe I’ll try re-inking the sketch one day?

Without a doubt, I have THE coolest chairs in the dorm. My sloth chair is a great way to relax (I toss the fluffy blanket over it and turn on the little string lights inside and cocoon up for a couple hours) And I even have a little mini one with a Jacket and Penny doll on my little altar behind the chair.
Oddly enough, today was the day my roommate and I signed up for housing for the last time, and we’re headed to another room. I’ve had this room for three years, and.. it’s right outside the dumpster.
Naturally, this is... cleaned up. My bookcase is full and there may not be enough time to draw all the books and shoes.

It's refund time, which means it's when I'm most likely to buy supplies. These are Derwent Graphik paint pens- water soluble paint pump pens in 20 colors. They're also opaque and low fume, and work well for with a water brush! Innnnteresting, since I like paint pens (they're like a hollow felt/plastic tip, so they can break but are flexible, and shaking/pumping increases the flow.) , but feel like I can't paint with them like I want to.

Progress on Editorial Illustration free choice Final for SCAD Illustration
Clip Studio Paint Pro
Five years ago, I visited the park in Savannah where I first felt like aiming towards something in my life. Four years ago, I studied it from an image from Google Street view and used it to get in to SCAD. I need of a boost (now that a lot long-running stories in my life are starting to collide), I'm visiting this place again.
I am so proud of that railing, you've no idea. Took me 10+ hours the first time in colored pencil. Took me 1.5 hours with vectors and symmetry rulers and free transform. Kind of cool how overworking and developing the arthritis has been helping me prioritize my workflow...
