just thinking about how poets love to write about tragical figures and romanticize tragedies rather than write about those who lived happily or somehow ended up with a happy ending. and i think that says something about there’s a much bigger story or there’s more room to relate to the pain and suffering more than the road to happiness, the almost unattainable happy ending.
