Freddie affectionately rolled his eyes at her words, the smirk dancing on his cheeks as he glanced over at her before the bottle was brought to his lips. “I merely mentioned her in reference to you mentioning her first,” his accent coated his words delicately, his mind twirling with thoughts that he generally did not possess. “I am nothing more to you than a fast food place. I see how it is! Luckily for you I enjoy your company or I’d leave you starving.” Hand moving out to hand her a drink, something he was sure she would need sooner rather than later. "Where did you go, anyways?"

Time spent with twin sister growing less and less with impending fatherhood on the horizon. Most days spent at his home with Cely, wanting to welcome Juniper into the world with open arms and a safe home to come back to. Still, he missed his family, more so as the weeks went by without much contact with them. The most he had was the baby shower and even that he had spent a good portion of it hiding away from the attention given to him. It had been entirely something he agreed to in order to avoid anything else being televised about his daughter’s future. Grin on his face as Maddie fell onto the bed next to him, Micah rolling over to look at her with a smile. “Oh you’re definitely going to drop on the list,” he teased her relentlessly, knowing fully well that his sister would always hold one of the highest spots in the world for him. “Lucky for you, you’re only being replaced by your niece. Well, Cely too, but we won’t count her that’s an entirely different type of favorite.” Her question gave him pause, having spent so long wishing that the baby was his to begin with and now that the truth had time to settle into him, the gender had been something he hadn’t thought much about. “I guess it makes sense? Me being a girl dad. I wouldn’t know what to do with a boy and we know it. Our lives have always been surrounded by women, powerful women, and I can’t imagine not raising her to be that way too.” A pause as he took in his sister for a moment before he pushed the thoughts out before he could stop it. "Are you alright? You seem as melancholic as me and that's saying something."
An astounding three long days of rain christened the hills in the middle of a drought could be seen as a miracle. She saw it as a foreboding warning for some cosmic reset. The stop clock wiped to zero for all the impending chaos to resume. It only seemed fitting for such an anomaly to occur on the wake of her return. Dropping down onto the duvet, she turned towards the only face she really missed. Micah. The all telling mirror that she held up to herself to humbled. He was too charming, too kind, too much of all the good things in this world. Maddie always wondered if he struggled beneath his good nature. Nevertheless, she was happy to bask in his attention for whatever was left of it. “It kinda feels like this may be the last moment I’ll spend as your favorite person in this world. I know you will probably say something sweet like there’s categories to your love, or whatever, but I know the truth.” The dull pang of guilt hammered lightly between her ribs as she studied Micah as fatherhood approached. Life raced on beyond her sluggish heels; no matter how much she ran, she never seemed to move along with it.
“Has it set in yet that you’re going to be a girl dad?”

“ i’m telling you , whoever your stylist is deserves to be fired , “ austen confirmed with a slight shrug of her shoulders . truthfully , he didn’t look as bad as she was letting on but he was also a hawker , her expectations were naturally much higher for him . “ but it doesn’t , “ she whined , scrunch of her face to hold back the smirk trying to fight it’s way onto her features . this time entirely teasing the fellow blonde , “ have you even showered today ? “ she questions , digits touching a couple strands of his hair as she lifts herself up on her tip - toes .
“They should be fired? Now that’s a little harsh, even for you,” Eyes bugging out in response to her words, pretty sure that it was Austen Sinclair just being Austen. She was known for being blunt in her assessments and Freddie refused to fault her for that reason. Plus, he did have a reputation to uphold, considering what last name he bore. “Is it Tuesday? I only shower on Tuesdays, you know that!” He teased her right back, moving closer so she could get a better whiff of him, desperately trying to keep the smirk off his face at the bantering. He had showered earlier in the day, after all, but she would not know that. Hands swatting playfully at her, Freddie’s attempt at hiding things gone as the smile finally broke on his face. “Good to see you haven’t lost your sense of humor since I’ve been gone.”

"You'd think I would be paying attention as well, considering that family is the head of Vogue," Freddie mused as he glanced at the blonde next to him. "By the time I'm in the know it's already moved onto something else." Brutal honesty welcomed from her, he could only laugh, harboring no ill will towards the woman's response. "Good to know the hair is still doing the trick. Maybe it'll distract from the old outfit, as you delicately put it. At least one of us is dressed to impress."
a soft yet reassuring smile preyed onto her lips as she gave a tilt of her head, “this is precisely why i pay people to keep up with the trends for me. they’re far more informed and on top of it.” all aurora had to do was act like barbie and she didn’t mind. style was not her forte and until she got famous, she mainly wore overalls and dresses from forever 21. “your hair looks impeccable. and the outfit doesn’t look BAD. it’s just a bit…old.”

“Please, Kai, you know that I have another ten years before I can convince Emira to marry me,” voice all teasing as he glanced over at his best friend. The jokes of his impending nuptials forcing chuckles from his throat as his shoulders moved around to avoid tensing up. “Wow, you’re really throwing all the punches and here I thought you were happy to see me. This is so very rude of you.”
“why are you dressed like you’re about to get hitched? if you even think about answering that with a yes, i might actually kill you.” kairi says before leaning over and taking his glass to drink out of. ugh, nothing is worse than an awful warm drink, “you have terrible taste in relationships and drinks, i see.”

New song on the horizon, Esme was doing her due diligence to make herself well known before that fateful day could come. No matter how much she loathed these types of events, her agent had insisted she come and perform one of her hits from Tiktok, knowing it would appease the masses. What she didn’t anticipate was running into Kairi. The girl might as well have been the devil incarnate to her. Someone she would avoid under normal circumstances but there was no one else she deemed worthy to speak to so she would have to do. “Yeah, apparently it’ll get my name out there or whatever else they wanna claim. I don’t think half these people would know good music if it smacked them in the face. What about you? This doesn’t seem like your crowd.”
who: @icedfae
sure, the social event called for a bunch of different people to show up and she's been to enough of these to know that it will only help her career. it wasn't like she wants to do podcasting forever but if it's a step to the right direction, she wasn't about to drop such a great opportunity. what she didn't count for was the who. kairi hadn't expect to see esme when they tried so hard to forget her but they aren't the same person back when they were sixteen and years have passed by for them to get back to being friends. still, couldn't hurt to try, "hey, are you performing tonight?"

Waverly hated that he was going through this, heart racing at the thought that something bad might happen now that his secret was out. For better or worse she cared for him, never wanted harm to come to him no matter how much he had hurt her, and had kept everything hush hush for that exact reason. As he seemed to notice she was there, Waverly moved closer, leaning against the now closed door of his bedroom behind him. “Is there anything I can do to help? Maybe I could release a statement supporting you?” It wasn’t much but she was at a loss of how to help him without hurting his reputation more. “Whatever I can do, even if it’s just being here right now while you work it out yourself, I’ll do it. You’re not alone in this, okay?” It was her attempt at easing some of the heartache he was going through, no matter the consequences of it later.
the moment louie wiley started opening his mouth in that group chat , he knew it was over. the recent event all too clear in his mind , it was easy to put two and two together. he'd been ambushed by among at least four old clients and opting out was not possible. the promo for lord of the rings was well underway , despite the fact they hadn't even started filming. minutes passed in panic now , anger and desperation soaring through his veins in equal measure. his manager had already yelled at him over the phone and he felt sick to the stomach. he'd heard voices in the hallway , but wasn't pulled from his racing thoughts until he heard waverly's familiar voice. " i'm freaking out , waves , " he admitted , trying to ignore the guilt that still came with every sight of her. " they need me to go in tomorrow. to discuss the future of me on the project ... i'm screwed. "

These were uncharted waters for twins who had spent their entire lives with one another. Even when she lived in another country she did not feel as distant as she did now to her brother and that statement alone made her heart ache as she blinked at him a few times. “It isn’t like what, Ford? You’re ignoring my texts half the time, trying to get off the phone as quickly as possible when we do talk and you expect me to think something isn’t going on with you?” Easy frustration unleashed on her twin as she stood up to face him, looking comedic next to brother towering over her small stature. “I’ve been back from London for weeks now and it’s not like I haven’t tried to get ahold of you so don’t try to push this on Zavier and I. You’re avoiding me and I want to know why.”
the guilt was instant as he looked back at his twin sister, the emotion hitting him in one big wave. the two of them didn't avoid each other, they didn't lock them out with the rest of the world. freya had been with him on his shittest days, even when she had been states away the second his world had been thrown into pure chaos she had dropped everything to be at his side and he was now actively choosing to keep her at arms length. the very worst part? if it meant he got to continue to live in his bubble with felicity, he wasn't sure that he would change much right now. "it's not like that freya." the use of her full name indicating just how serious he was being. "you've just been off and busy with z, didn't think you wanted to hang out much these days is all, you can stay as long as you want you know that." even if it meant the awkwardness between the two of them.

Waverly was known to keep an interesting group of people around her at all times. It kept her amused whenever someone dragged her into something that would be less than ideal under normal circumstances. Star was one of those great people for that reason. “Do you think I would drag you all the way here just for us not to go out? I need to blow off some steam. Work is starting to kill me.” Promoting one movie while also filming another and her personal life being in shambles, Waverly was in desperate need for a night of true debauchery. “If we remember this evening I am calling it an utter failure.”
star was confident that by now she had been FORGOTTEN by her old best friend , she needed to focus on the crowd that was still here . in her dressing room , “ please tell me that we’re going to go out tonight because i’ve got a whole week to spend with my dweeb of a brother & dodging calls from my psychotic ma … i need a blow out first . “ @icedfae / ur choice of muse .

Though neither had wished for the relationship and impending birth of their child to be a spectacle, it was nice to have everything ready for their daughter to come home to in the upcoming months. Not only were things good in terms of their home being ready for her but Micah didn’t think he and Cely had been this blissful since the beginnings of their relationship back when they were awkward teens falling in love for the first time. Through the ups and downs of their relationship, things seemed to be stronger than ever between the two of them and Micah was grateful for that. It was a typical evening for them, Micah bent over the stove as he continued to perfect the recipe to suffice to her cravings for the week, a grin on his face at her teasing. “I’m not just a pretty face, love. I do have some tricks still up my sleeve,” he bantered back to her, turning his full body towards her as he watched her take in the cooking carefully. “Hey when she dislikes my cooking she’s your daughter,” he continued, the jest evident in his voice, before her face gave him pause. “Cely, baby, what’s wrong?” Stove clicked off and the pan off the burner, moving towards her quickly to rub her back. “Do we need to go get you checked?” He was one moment, one more gasp of pain from her, from carrying her to his car and to the hospital.
( pls, see tags for trigger warnings ! ) “ hmmm — ” petite brunette hums contently, silver spoon in fingers had been dipped into concoction on the stove & immediately brought to lips . bronzed lower limbs are swung almost child - like from her perch atop the granite counter adjacent to where he had been planted before the range . it’s almost sickening, how pleased she’s become with the recent occurrences in their relationship & the newfound domesticity . she could not recall another time of more elation than when the two were preparing a home for their unborn child . “ where’d you learn to cook like that ? ” inquiry comes as a jest, & giggles are cut short as a hand moves to immediately clutch her extended abdomen, brows furrowing at the sudden discomfort . “ oh, sorry babe, i don’t think your daughter likes it very much . ” another quip, as she attempts to divert mind from the ache but efforts soon prove to be futile as yet another flare radiates from lower back to center . “ shit — ” curses in return, choosing to slide self from countertop to feet . typical doe eyes are widened in panic, as shoulders curl forward in own attempts to alleviate tension, next words coming barely above a whisper . “ something’s wrong . ” ( @icedfae, micah . )

Freya had been used to the way that Ford acted, nothing he did surprised her much anymore. Or at least it didn’t used to, before he started avoiding her constantly. What she didn’t grasp was what she had done to deserve the brush off from her twin of all people, the one person who was supposed to be there for her through thick and thin, a bond closer than any other. Sure, she had been less than cheery about his pseudo relationship with Felicity but only because she saw the endgame long before he usually did. While she didn’t dislike Felicity, in fact she rather enjoyed the blunt nature which the girl operated with, she just had never wanted him to get hurt. In turn that protectiveness she had for the elder twin seemed to have backfired on her immensely. That was obvious as his words struck her as she waited for him poolside. “What happened to ‘you’re welcome here anytime, Yards’?” Her voice mimicking his own as she glanced up at him. “I can leave if you don’t want me around. I guess I should have taken the hint.” She hadn’t even come to interrogate him, though if the topic would arise she would take it, just to talk to him about her own life and the turmoil she was dealing with.
closed starter for freya | @icedfae
ford had been actively avoiding his sister ever since he had gotten back from home and it had proven to be far easier than it should have given that she had moved out. there had been short texts here and there, he'd lasted five minutes on the phone and made up an excuse and any plans they might cross over with? he simply hadn't gone because of everyone, she was going to call him out on his shit and he wasn't ready for it. he didn't doubt for a second she'd got a full report from their moms and their siblings and her questions would go unanswered if she got the chance to ask them. one she had apparently made as he found her lounging next to his pool. the damn key he'd given her far to handy now it seemed. "oh hey yards....you leave something here?" a classic brush off, nice ford.
