Thinking about an overlord au but make it so husk still loses the game to alastor and because of some bullshit in their contract angels soul goes back to Valentino.

No cause nowadays fandom culture is sooo sensitive like i just saw someone asking why huskerdust from hazbin hotel is such a famous ship if they're a drug addict and an alcoholic so it doesnt seem very healthy...... BABES back in my day if a ship wasnt between a minor and a 30+ year old it was considered a win

I've seen a lot of people say they don't like the idea of Husk gambling for Angel's soul because it "takes away his autonomy" in getting out of his situation.

And to be completely honest, as someone who has been in a similar position— having to leave an INCREDIBLY dangerous and abusive individual: sometimes another person intervening is the only way you can do that with some degree of safety.

Everyone acts like Husk would go behind Angel's back and do this, when that man would obviously talk to him before making any moves that could put him in a worse position than he's already in.

People act like he'd keep Angel's soul, when he'd tear that contract to shreds in Valentino's face as soon as it's his.

This isn't about Husk being his savior: it's about the fact that Angel has decided its time to leave, and this is his way out.

Because Angel can't do this by himself. And a support system, a place he can stay, can only do so much when your life is on the line.

In real life the genuine solution to keeping yourself safe from someone like Valentino, who would kill you without a second thought, is to move to a place where he can never find you. To move not only out of town, leaving everything behind, but out of state entirely when possible.

In hell, where souls can be bound by contracts, all it takes is someone who can get Val to agree to a gamble. Someone who can get him to bet not only Angel's soul, but his ability to contact him.

Husk is the one with the power to create that bargain, just as the District Attorney can put out a restraining order and help pay for you to move somewhere where they can't find you.

Horrible realization about Charles and Erik is that Charles says in first class “sorry I can’t leave him.” And he doesn’t then. But he also doesn’t anytime after that. Every time they separate, it’s Erik leaving him. Never the other way around

i think the worst thing about the whole “anti-woke” culture is how it’s not only dumbing down people (folks are literally forgetting pronouns are an actual word class, an inseperable part of grammar and everyday speech) but also praising meanness and insensibility above all. it has managed to make malice and unkindness synonymous with factfulness and reason as if intelligence didn’t stem from emotions. as if feelings weren’t the very core of human beings. as if knowledge wasn’t achieved through passion, sympathy, and open-mindedness. as if the whole crux of this entire anti-wokeness movement wasn’t rooted in pure unadulterated emotion of hatred and hostility.
