I don’t think I have the chops for D&D or other tabletop RPGs but I could make a good DM’s assistant. I don’t play the game but I sit and listen and then after the session the DM can ask me for ideas.

History of Step
What is Stepping?
What is Step?
Stepping or step dancing is “a percussive dance in which the participant’s body is used to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and hand-claps,” writes the African American Registry.
Step has its origins in Africa, as dancing has been a large part of traditional African culture for centuries.
Calling Step a "bizarre silent dance without music" has to be one of the wilder antiblack racist descriptions I've ever heard of stepping lmao. Anyway if you see the video, it's step!!! They're stepping!! It's a Black American form of dance!!

When I was younger and researching the autism diagnosis criteria and symptoms, I thought “oh I couldn’t POSSIBLY be autistic.” Because when I read “takes everything literally” I thought it literally meant EVERYTHING and I was like “I don’t take EVERYTHING literally, just most things!” And I just realized the other day that it didn’t actually mean EVERYTHING and that was an overstatement.

‼️‼️
If you're having trouble keeping up with what's going on in Palestine because of US news coverage of university protests, here are some articles you can read and a video you can watch:
youtube
While CNN & all the other mainstream media try to paint the university protests as "pro terrorism" (which they're not, they're literally anti-war protests.) Palestinians are being slaughtered by the minute.
Please don't stop speaking about Palestine.

Donations Needed: Help a Gazan Skater Evacuate His Family
This is the link to help Hani. Hani is a skater currently living in Belgium and rebuilding his life. His family lives in Gaza and are suffering at the hands of the occupation. His father was killed and they lost their house. He is now responsible to protect his family.
He needs the funds to help them evacuate. Please donate and share this.
Read more about Hani’s situation below (from his GoFundMe):
“Hello, I'm Hani from Gaza, and I'm 23 years old. I've been living in Belgium for a year, and I'm an inline skater. I'm collecting donations to get my family out to safety from northern Gaza to Egypt because I can't afford the large amount of money needed. I'm here in Belgium in the process of rebuilding my life and achieving my dreams.”
“After losing my house and its destruction on October 13th, my family became displaced in tents, and on September 15th, I lost my father due to the attack on Al-Shifa Hospital. My father was suffering from kidney failure and passed away due to lack of treatment. He was the breadwinner of my family. Now I am responsible for my family, which consists of 10 members, including 3 minors, and my 18-year-old brother. The rest are my sisters, including two toddlers, one is 3 years old, and the other is 2 years old.”
“My siblings were university students and had dreams too, but because of the war, they lost everything; they lost the university, our home, and our father. They aspire to continue their studies at the university, but the war destroyed everything. I'm now trying to get them out of Gaza to Egypt to rebuild their shattered lives. To do that, they need to be evacuated, and they need to pay for the coordination into Egypt. Due to war time prices, they're asking for 5,000 euros per person to get them out of Gaza because northern Gaza has been completely wiped out, with insufficient food and people scattered among the rubble of homes under heavy bombardment. I hope you can help me through your donations or by sharing the story with friends. Thank you so much with lots of love.”
Please donate. Every little bit helps. If you cannot donate, share this.

Please help me. My name is Shirley. I am autistic and disabled. I ran away from my abusive parents a few years ago. I’ve been moving from place to place. A couple of months ago I was able to find my own apartment. Things went downhill when I was fired from my job. It has been very difficult for me to find employment due to mental health issues. I have been transferring money out of my credit card to my debit card in order to pay my rent. I also have to pay interest. This time, I’ve really hit rock bottom. My credit card is about to be maxed out and I could get evicted. I don’t think I could survive out in the streets.
Please donate or reblog if you are not able to donate but would like to help. It would mean a lot to me if you could donate or share the link to my GoFundMe. Thank you so much

I typically keep work/Tumblr separate nowadays, but the Senate passed the TikTok bill, and the President is aching to sign it.
It's wildly unlikely TikTok will manage to divest within 270 days, and the potential three month extension won't do much either, so this amounts to a ban. But more than just TikTok, the language of the bill-soon-to-be-law grants the President incredibly broad authority to ban or force the sale of other foreign-owned apps, too, especially given its very expansive definition of "foreign-owned apps."
I don't have a particular call to action that I care to offer here. But, it's something people (not only US citizens) should be aware of, as this is a pretty big fucking deal.

What I love about this arc with the Crown Keepers is how much it reminds me of the Mighty Nein and Molly/Lucien. There's a party member who is taken from the group in some way, the remaining members want to fight to get them back. Molly was killed and later resurrected, but it was Lucien who came back. That gave the Nein hope that their friend could be returned. Yeah the world was at stake but the Nein chose to fight Lucien with memories of Molly.
The Crown Keepers arc feels like it's going in a similar direction. Opal is losing herself to the Spider Queen, possibly for good. The Crown Keepers are trying to preserve her memories in the crystals to remind her who she is. Even a tiny little flicker is a light in the darkness, a direction to turn towards.
But this could also go horribly wrong. Opal might lose herself for good. I can see the Crown Keepers still fighting to save their friend, but with the Luxon beacon reveal, something else could happen.
Let's say Opal is killed in the effort to stop Lolth. Assuming Campaign 3 is heading for an Avengers Endgame level team up from the parties from every campaign, the Crown Keepers might try to have Opal resurrected like the Nein did with Molly after they defeated Lucien. Thing is, Molly wasn't able to return. A new friend, Kingsley, came to be instead.
If Opal dies, it won't be near a beacon. And who knows what the Spider Queen would do to Opal if she saw that she was going to die. So if a cleric was able to do Revivify, Opal may or may not be able to come back. BUT: Opal isn't the only soul in her body.
Ted is also there. Maybe Ted's soul comes back if Opal's can't. And wouldn't that be an interesting parallel to Kingsley?
