I just can't sympathize with the blacks. They are all so serious, with straight backs and honor in their eyes, they make solemn speeches and it's so...boring. And the greens at this time? Absolute chaos. Aegon giggles as he declares war. Aemond wants to duel with his uncle, having no experience in it. Their family relationship is crazy, they're wreaking havoc and I love them for it. The greens just have a lot more interesting dynamics and complex characters, they are fascinating to watch. Sorry, I don't make the rules.

I’ve thought about it, however Night 1 of Wrestlemania goes between Seth and Cody v Roman and Rock, Cody can’t win that belt. Without “The Story”, Cody’s going to get boring quick, fans already turn on a title reign fast enough, just look at Seth and his belt with people saying it’s getting stale. Cody needs to have the story of getting that belt go on for longer, maybe not another year, but at least until Summerslam. It doesn’t have to be him v Roman then though, let the Tribal Chief rest, he’s earned it ☝🏼
Night 2 of Wrestlemania, Roman and Cody wreck eachother, like close call who’ll win, both basically down and out. Cody wins (I don’t want the Tribal Chief to lose but let’s imagine he does), he’s happy, good for him. Then Priests music drops, Judgement Day keep at bay anyone Cody has with him, Priest steals the title. Cody gets to go on with “The Story”, he’s allowed to fight for the belt again (because it was only if he lost to Roman that he wouldn’t be able to have another chance at the title), the Money in the Bank finally is cashed in. Priest teased going after Seth’s title too many times now and didn’t/couldn’t, so he’s either going to go for that on Wrestlemania or shoot for the big guns and go all out and snatch the Undisputed title, go big or go home. Then we can have 6 months of the title being up for grabs, either Priest holds onto it, or there’s some title changes in between, but Cody gets his chance again at Summerslam.
This could set up some other stories too:
• jealousy amongst the JD and Finn maybe going for the title (it’s inevitable they’re going to either break completely or someone’s leaving, probably either Finn or Priest). Becky said something in an interview about Finn and JD having some loyalty to her aswell as Rhea, so they’re match at WM could also play into the JD split storyline.
• Seth turning on Cody and going for the title he lost out on, finally giving the match between Priest and Seth, because Seth is more then likely losing at WM
• Cody isn’t the only person with a story and want for the Undisputed title. Roman’s decimated everyone for years, they all could try and go again for the title in between WM and SS. The title could get passed around a little, give it Randy, Sami, even Jey. Let it get built back up as something to fight for
However it goes, I think Cody winning and taking the title would get boring real quick. Let the title become something fought over again
And at the end of Night 2, Roman needs a standing ovation and universal acknowledgment for the last few years. Say what you will about him being part time or using the Bloodline for help, there’s no denying he put in a great f***ing show, he was Final Boss, the Tribal Chief and did his job soooo well. Acknowledge the Tribal Chief ☝🏼☝🏼
Tumblr media
Just to add on at the end, just in case anyone gets butthurt over opinions, these storylines are planned out ages in advance. What we as fans want or think should happen doesn’t really change the narrative unless completely necessary, so there’s no need for anything other then lighthearted discussion about where we individually think the story should or could go.

I’m trying to remember a Fic on AO3 but can’t remember the tags and it’s stressing me out 😂 been at it like an hour
Fic takes place after TK wakes up from his coma (pretty sure it was after the coma at least), he and Carlos get back together but don’t tell anyone. Carlos invited the whole squad to the loft so they can see it for the first time and so he can introduce them to “someone he’s seeing”, everyone goes and they announce they’re back together
Can anyone help, it’s going to be on my mind until I read it and im stressed 😂🫠

They really spent the entire episode w/Carlos solving the entire god damn case just for Owen to swoop in with a car chase and secure the win.
I’m going to go sit in the corner and die now.

Viserys was never blind to Rhaenyra’s actions, he just didn’t care.
Viserys acted as if he believed Rhaenyra never slept with someone during her night out but we see when the moon tea is delivered to her that he doesn’t believe her but he doesn’t want to punish her. He’s willing to send away his wife’s father and exile his brother just to cover up Rhaenyra’s mistakes that he knows she’s made.
This scene makes me believe that he knows the Strong boys are bastards, but he doesn’t care because he lets Rhaenyra get whatever she wants.
He doesn’t care for rules, customs, precedents, or anything else that guides decisions of rulers. All he wants it Rhaenyra to get what she wants no matter what.
It makes Rhaenyra’s tour and leaving for dragon stone even more sad because her dad is literally bending over backwards to give her more privilege than anyone else in this world and she still gets pissed!
And the audacity to come back after 6 years on dragon stone to ask Viserys to fix her mistakes with driftmark because she’s gotten away with this so much she believes that her dad will do whatever she wants.
This is by no means defending Viserys. He raised Rhaenyra this way and never telling her no. Viserys is a bad dad, even to his favorite kid, and a bad king. Patty Constantine is the only good thing about this terrible king.

a thing that i really hate about team black is how they say that we can’t really be mad at Rhaenyra for having three bastard children as a woman, because men have been doing the same thing all the time and no one cared.
But they kinda always forget about a very important detail; Whenever men had bastard children, they pretty much never put them in line for inheritance. They were aware of the fact that some random children they had with some random women are somewhere out there living their lives. And they didn’t care. They didn’t put their lives in danger by saying “oh, yeah, they are my legitimate children” even though the children look nothing like their mother or something. And whenever they *do* have their bastards live with them, they always admit that they are their bastards and never put them higher than legitimate heirs to their house.
Like Ned Stark has always been like “hey, that’s my bastard son, Jon, he is living with us at Winterfell. We raised him, fed him and treated him right, but when it comes to inherit Winterfell, my legitimate son with my wife Caitlyn, Robb, who is the true heir to house Stark, will become the next Lord, not Jon”
Rhaenyra, well, did the exact opposte.
And if you say “oh, but she’s a woman, she can’t do that, since people will get angry if she admitted to having bastard children with a man that is not her husband!” I will say, as a woman myself, no matter how cruel that might sound: that’s Rhaenyra’s problem. She knew damn well that when a man and a woman have sex, it’s the woman that gets pregnant. And if she really wanted to have children, she could’ve had sex with someone that slightly looks like her husband. Like, what the hell did she, a blonde white woman, expect her children to look like, having sex with a dark haired white man?
Because that’s the world she lives in. A cruel and unfair patriarchal world. And she does absolutely fucking NOTHING to change it. She doesn’t fight for women’s rights, doesn’t call out this patriarchy that somewhat caused the war itself, she doesn’t do anything to get rid of it. So that’s on her

"Alicent is a horrible mother and a rape apologist, Rhaenyra would never!" Oh but she would 😕😕
Firstly, in terms of how Alicent treated Dyana, she did more than anyone else in the show would've. She gave her moon tea, ensuring Dyana wouldn't become pregnant with her rapists baby & have to give birth. She paid her well, ensuring she could get the fuck away from her rapist. She comforted her. She then went to DISIPLINE AEGON, verbally degrading him and slapping him. She did the best she could in that situation. You all claim she should've sent Aegon away or had him killed - do you hear yourselves? Genuinley? You all would hate her MORE IF SHE DID THAT. You already hate her for not being Valyrain but killing one? Holy shit. And secondly, she couldn't do that - her father would never have let her, or the council.
Now, onto Rhaenyra. As far as we've seen, taking everything about how she parents and what she thinks of her boys - she wouldn't have even gone to see Dyana. Just had her killed. She would've found some form of excuse (she called them bastards) and used that to justify it. We've LITERALLY SEEN HER DO THIS WITH AEMOND. She would rather have her half brothers tortured for speaking truth than punish her boys for one, ganging up on another boy, and two, permanently mutilating him. She does not believe her boys can do any wrong. She doesn't. She is a VALYRAIN PRINCESS, she automatically thinks she's above everyone- I wonder how much of an ego boost nearly passing off three bastards for that many years gave her?
And we know she doesn't care for highborns either. She let Daemon murder Vaemond. That was breaking the law, the kings word that you all care about so much, and Daemon should have been executed for that. Do you really think she'd care about a random servant girl? You people get dumber by the fucking minute.
Do not sit there and try and act like Rhaenyra has any moral or even intellectual high ground on Alicent.
I'd also like to add that blaming a woman (Alicent) for a full grown man's actions (Aegon turning out a rapist) is WEIRD and misogynistic.

I went from a borderline obsession with Aemond Targaryen, to reopening a dormant obsession with the 2004 film Alexander (criminally underrated but we move) to a reignited obsession with Shadowhunters which never really died out just fizzled but is now taking up all of my brain function in a day. Theyre all existing in tandem and it’s a lot. I don’t know what hyper fixation crisis I’m having at the moment but I’m getting my head/ mental health tested/evaluated in May so hopefully the undiagnosed ADHD among other things gets professionally addressed
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk

Team Black stans unnerve me because they are sooo excited for Blood and Cheese, because they are so quick to justify it and claim it’s okay
Why is “an eye for an eye” not okay, Aemond and Alicent are bitter and taking it too far when they want justice for Aemond’s eye. But “a son for a son” is completely fine, like murdering a 6 year old child is acceptable and Rhaenyra and Daemon are making good power moves?
It’s kinda inconceivable to me that murdering a child is “wooo go Queen” but “you took my eye, give me one in return” is too far. Kinda like they’re also forgetting that the Storming of the Dragon pit and the subsequent death of dragons and fall of the Targaryen power was down to Blood and Cheese and the treatment of Helena. If Rhaenyra was so girl boss in that moment, why is it one of the causes of her downfall and the revolt of the smallfolk?

the reason i find it impossible to sympathise with rhaenyra's cause, her version of 'creating a new order' is that... theres no evidence she actually would. nothing in her actions to suggest she cares about ordinary women. shes not exactly alysanne reborn, she never once talks to an ordinary woman, let alone acknowledges ordinary people in general as deserving of her consideration. when shes younger she openly says she doesnt care what the smallfolk think or want. and, f&b spoilers: its what her ultimate downfall hinges on.
so no. no part of me believes rhaenyra would have necessarily changed the world in any kind of meaningful way. perhaps she could have evolved over time, she had the potential for it with the right influences i think, so who knows, but given whats established about her characterisation its not unfair for anyone to suggest she never would have changed other womens lives for the better despite transcending the limitations of her gender personally. so how is it anti-feminist to sympathise with alicents perspective? even if it were relevant, alicent had no reason to believe rhaenyra sitting the throne would mean any kind of legitimate progress, and she certainly doesnt oppose rhaenyra on the basis of her being a woman, she just understands how rhaenyras gender interacts with the poltical landscape of westeros. this is not ideological for alicent, its about survival. which is in stark contrast to rhaenyra whose original goal is just personal liberation.
hotd does position rhaenyra as the feminist choice with little visual things like her bringing baela and rhaena to the table, which might have been deliberate so they can later subvert that assumption or point out her hypocrisy later idk, but either way it just doesnt track with rhaenyra's wider actions or professions. yes the liberation she desires is a feminist goal but she primarily only cares about achieving it for herself. shes not daenerys. shes not an idealist. she doesnt plan to change the world from the ground up. and that isnt a crime, but its also not feminist its just personal ambition.
i know most fantasy stories that centre on a war lean toward portraying a clear dichotomy of good and evil with easy real world comparisons, but this doesnt. this is just not a story about ideology at all so assigning real world ideologies to fan factions or characters is so reductive. it immediately kills any kind of nuanced discussion.
