i haven’t been doing as many big rendered pieces for a hot sec cuz i have been setting up my etsy!

powder, you must be thinking, is this finally an announcement that your etsy is open?

ha i fucking wish!

etsy perm suspended my shop and won’t tell me why. i tried to appeal, i mentioned in the appeal that i don’t know what happened, but whatever it is i’ll be happy to fix it if they tell me. but nope, instead etsy said fuck you, we won’t tell you anything, and you’re not allowed to contact us anymore on this

etsy only cares about its bigger creators who makes them money. promise if this happened to a bigger creator, etsy would have the shop back up so fast. but no, i’m a small creator so etsy isn’t doing shit

i’m gonna put my time, effort, and money into a shopify! it’s not quite ready yet because i’ve had markets all this month, but i’m working on it, and i plan on getting it up in may if not sooner

and i’m gonna put more time into my business socials (like this one hi), honestly business wise i’m most active on tiktok

etsy talks so much big talk about being a place to support small businesses, but they screw over us small businesses over and over. i’m not the first small business this has happened, and unfortunately i probably won’t be the last.

but, i’m not giving up on my business. i’m gonna succeed now out of spite

business/shop announcement:

you might be wondering where my etsy shop is, maybe this is the etsy shop announcement?

nope, i wish it was

to try to put a long story short that i might explain in more detail in a longer post, etsy screwed me over. within 24 hours my etsy shop was permanently suspended, and etsy refuses to tell me why, and they’ve said i’m not allowed to communicate with them further on it.

in all honesty, i had a couple of the worst panic attacks i’ve had, probably in years, over this. i don’t know what i did, and etsy has acknowledged they didn’t tell me why, and said they won’t tell me. and unfortunately i’m not the only shop etsy did this to, etsy does this all the time to small business

BUT i’m not letting this stop me. i’m using this to help motivate me to work even harder on my shop and succeed. so instead of etsy i’m gonna be using:

shopify!

i’m still working on setting it up but it’s already so much easier to use than etsy. i know i’m gonna have to pull in all my own traffic from social media, but i’m willing to put in the work and effort

tldr: etsy screwed me over and it won’t even tell me why, and it does this to small business all the time. i’m gonna use shopify instead, it’s not set up yet but i’ll announce when it is
