K505 + K101 MODS - REALM OF MAGIC UPDATE Glimmerbrook is a small town, more of a village really, in the countryside and if you already know about the Winchester brothers, you are not surprised that such a place hide a gate to a special place.

It’s ok. Not all village is a normal village. But all village deserve better textures Grass well-tended, clean paved path, proper dust road, soft riverbed, perfect road. It’s a small place, there’s no reason for not taking care of it. After all, if some people choose to live there, they also deserve all our attention. So is the secret place.

If you haven’t tested the K101 Builder Mod, now would be the perfect time as this update change only 2 files: a pavement and a wood flooring. Please remember this is not a complete replacement, more of a blend-in. The floors are the same, they are just better textured.

As for the K505 Terrain Mod, you’ll find the folder for Realm of Magic with 2 files: one for nature and one for urban. Both files cover all Realm of Magic places: Glimmerbrook, the muggle village and Glimmerbrook, the magical place. Add the files to your mod folder and you are good to go!

303 TERRAINS REPLACEMENT UPDATE – ISLAND LIVING

Here comes the sunshine on the beaches of Sulani’s islands 🏝 We outdid ourselves with this update. We are quite proud of it. Ok, the fact that we liked Sulani better than the other worlds helped a bit…

First, we did the usual. Dumped load and load of new sand on each beach of Sulani. On the ocean ground, the beaches, the inside of the islands. All sands were replaced with sweet, hot, fine sand. Something calm and soothing under your pixelated feet, some even say if you rub your heels with it you’ll remove your pixelated horn! Totally bonus, good for your health and self-care. Getting a tan and smooth feet.

But that’s no surprise coming from us. Then we started the heavy work. Not to brag but some of us lived on tropical islands and know the landscape. That black road made of volcanic stone? Hm, not much. Yes, you understand right: we changed the road to a dirt road. Or at least to a concrete one. We leave it to you what you want it to be. The fact is: it’s not dark anymore. What was that anyway? Asphalt in a natural and eco-friendly surrounding?

But those volcanic stones are cool. A volcanic island is hot to live on! Sometimes the volcano goes in action, the lava flows gently and people gather around to watch the show. It’s the power of nature, the wildness of the universe, etc. etc. etc. And you know what those volcano stones also are? Sharp. Really sharp. Like cutting edges. Often called slag when the magma has cooled down and solidified, those rocks are sharp and certainly not smooth and slippery.

We fixed it. As you can see, the rocks are now more than textured. It’s more than the usual textures.

We add perspective! Those rocks are even better than before. These rocks have depth, perspective, angles, slag. They are rocks. And they rock Sulani 😎

After this proud enhancement, we aimed to beautify the whole place. Figured why not. We had the impression that for once, everything didn’t need to be plastic and perfect, we went with the wave and touched some wood textures on the urban furniture (think: bridge) or the main place’s pavement on Ohan’ali Town. That needed a complete makeover.

It’s time we talk about SimsDom again.

Most of you probably already know who and what Simsdom is but for those that don’t, Simsdom (or SimsDomination) claim to essentially be a CC finds website, which in essence I suppose they are… But don’t get your hopes up for a Lana replacement because they are SO much more than that. And not in a good way.

I know this is an old subject, and most people probably thought it was all over and done with, but Simsdom is still around and what’s worse is that I’ve noticed a growing trend among my fellow Game Changers who create content for Youtuber and Twitch/Mixer of promoting the site by using it to do CC shopping haul videos and streams, which is encouraging their viewers to use Simsdom. I’m not going to name names or point fingers but it made me realise that maybe some people don’t understand just how bad Simsdom is for the community in general, but especially for the amazingly dedicated CC creators of Simblr. And it’s just so disappointing to see people that some many in the community, including myself, look up to promoting this garbage site!

If you’re curious to know why this is a problem, I’ll explain under the cut. If not, keep scrolling… But don’t say I didn’t warn you.

New Bug Fix & New Small Mod

Added a Fix for Toys which get stuck on Toddler and prevents them from eating, sleeping etc. It is a rough kind of Fix. It deletes the Toy & creates a Copy of the Toy in the Toddlers Inventory. The Queue should not get cancelled and the Toddler can eat, sleep etc like before. (Affects the Play Interaction on Toys. If they get stuck on other Interactions as well let me know)
