Part 12
We eat the mac n cheese in awkward silence. Papyrus and Asriel both try to start a conversation, but they can't seem to think of any conversation topics.
Anyway, fast forward a few months. Nothing particularly interesting happens during these months.
So now, Chara’s 19½, Asriel’s 18½, and I'm 12. We're just chilling on the couch, when I suddenly jump off and run upstairs like a little gremlin.
"They're about to go geno, aren't they?" Chara asks after a moment.
"Probably," Asriel responds.
Both of my brothers moan in annoyance and are about to go and get me when a shout and a thump startles them.
I'm at the top of the stairs, but my brothers don't notice me.
The new person who fell out of a portal is a girl wearing a very Sans-esque jacket.
“Woah. What kind of AU did I fall into?” She asks.
The girl gestures vaguely to Chara and Asriel and asks, “Is this normal for you guys? Cuz in my universe, Chara isn’t the most…alive anymore. Like, at all. We got them a robot body.”
Chara looks at Asriel and then back at the girl in confusion.
“What the heck.”
I step away to grab the Real Knife from Chara’s nightstand.
When I return, the girl says, “You guys want fruit snacks?”
Asriel scratches his head and says, “Uh, this is a post-True Pacifist AU. And if you're talking about Chara having a human body, then yeah. It's been like this for about two years.”
Chara is looking around in a panicked frenzy. He pauses and says, “You've really come at a bad time. Frisk just went geno and I can't find the straitjacket anywhere.”
I stare at the three of them while smiling creepily.
Then, Chara sees me at the top of the stairs and says, “What the– HEY! Gimme my knife back!”
“No,” I say smugly.
Then, I freeze time and get in front of the new girl. When I unfreeze time, I say, “I'd love some fruit snacks.”
“What the heck!?” Asriel says when he realizes what happened. Turning to Chara, he continues, “When'd you teach ‘em to shortcut?”
Chara, with a confused and scared expression, says, “I didn't.”
