Getting feels at this scene when Bucky is sending Gale off on his first mission, giving the order for the flare to launch his boys to their deaths, likely dooming his best friend. What a horrible decision that would be. Need to write a oneshot of what’s going on in his head at this moment

Brady choked, then sucked in a breath, trying to keep the rolling panic at bay. He had seen other men shot in the camp, gunned down as an afterthought by guards who hardly needed a reason, but it could have been Buck, it could have been Buck, it very nearly was, and the image of his gentle friend going limp as the guard crushed his neck had seared painfully into his mind.
“Johnny,” DeMarco begged, hands now gripping either side of Brady’s head. “It’s ok, just…I’m right here, just breathe.”
“I’m sorry,” Brady forced out, wiping his eyes roughly, but DeMarco shook his head.
“Don’t be. It was horrible, no one will get over it,” he said, and it made Brady pause.

It's been a couple weeks since I had something to share - I've been playing around, trying to figure out what I want to write next, you know how it is. Anyway, here's a little something that might actually turn into something at this point.

“Gale? I thought you were fighting in that dumb war they got going on? Did you decide it was too much work after all? You were always too much like your father.” Mary Cleven had never struck her son but her comments sometimes hurt more than when his father took the belt to his back. “You never knew what it meant to work hard for something.”

So I thought I was obsessed with Buck and Bucky hurt/comfort but honestly Bucky yelling "Go, Buck! Get out of here!" changed me as a person. Bucky ready to protect Buck with his life, that guy didn't even thought about his safety only Buck.
I just can't stop thinking about protectiveBucky, I know Buck can take care of himself, he is strong and smart but I see him as someone who never had any help in his life. Buck would try to do anything by himself and that made him a bit oblivious to some dangers. Bucky knows that and his only thought is "I have to protect him!"
I imagine all the aus like Bucky saving Buck from the Germans in the Stalag.
Or in my last unicorn au Bucky risking his life so that Buck can run away and become a unicorn again.
I got so bad to even thinking of Bucky saving him from his abusive father, just running away with him or staying behind so Buck can run away.
