The end of History (in Posters)
As many of you will be aware, Tumblr is in advanced negotiations to sell all blog content to Midjourney and OpenAI for AI training.
I addition to the fact I am personally very much against all AI "art," this places this particular blog in a difficult situation: we've uploaded plenty of art made by other artists on this blog, and while Tumblr allows for individual blogs to opt out in blog settings, only the original creator of a shared sideblog can enable the AI opt-out. For this blog, the original creator has long since left Tumblr, so we have no means of changing the setting.
As a result, no more content will be uploaded on this blog, and I will be deleting all posters shared here.

Osmo K. Oksasen meille suunnittelema mainosjuliste 1950-luvulta. Oksanen teki samasta teemasta useampia variaatioita, joita käytettiin mainonnassa sekä kotimaassa että ulkomailla. Kotimaassa mainostettiiin talvilomalle menoa junalla, ulkomaille Suomea talviurheilumaana.
An advertisement poster designed by Osmo K. Oksanen for us in the 1950s. He made several variations of the theme over the years, which were used in advertisement in both Finland and abroad. In Finland, the theme was taking the train for your winter vacation (Finnish schools have a winter holiday in late February or early March), while abroad the texts were altered to advertise Finland as a winter sports destination.
