Update: I tried this troubleshooting method with the auto-titrator at our larger facility, and somehow irreparably broke it.

We couldn’t do assays involving a pH meter for a week, which is a major problem and nearly halted production of one of our highest demand products (It didn’t, I got terribly lucky and also the power went out)

Unrelated, it’s now wearing a permanent fedora to complement my lab coat as I am REALLY not sure who is defeating who here.

I tried it. Worked at it constantly, every day. I built a blog following of thousands and a discord community off of it, took it farther than I ever could have dreamed.

I led a project to archive as much of the previously lost Hermitcraft footage as possible. We enjoyed a lot of it and learned even more about the history of the game, the players, and how content shaped them both. I got through the entirety of seasons 1, 2, and half of 3 over the course of 18 months.

Then I burned out hard and suddenly, and didn’t touch Hermitcraft for almost two years.

Please, do take up this dream. But be aware, it is more of an undertaking than you ever could anticipate. It will challenge your powers of attention, retention, and perception. Not all of it is good or funny, and more than you think is an objectively terrible slog through hours of uncut footage masquerading as an episode. You will find forgotten secrets, bad decisions, and many highly offensive jokes.

Please, do it anyway. But do it at your own pace, in your own time, and don’t allow your excitement to get the better of your inspiration.

In all likelihood I will never return to my Time Machine, so I give it to you. You’ll need it, and the best of luck. And possibly a horse, and a torch or two. There are no elytra where you’re going.

So. I recently got a job that's just... a lot of sitting down at a computer for hours on end, with very little to do or entertain me, and I'm choosing to spend that time wisely by working on something I've been trying to do for a while now: Watch Every Season of Hermitcraft, from Every Hermit's Perspective. All of them.

I'm doing it pretty chaotically- I don't want to spam watch a single season bc watching the same events over and over again gets pretty tiring to me, especially because there are just,,, so many hermits. Same kinda logic applies to the different hermits, watching the same one do the same stuff consistently for *however many seasons* they have can get. exhausting by a certain point, so I'm just trying to keep things fresh for my own sake. I have been working on this for a while, before my job, just much more slowly. So far I've watched... - Everything from Mumbo Jumbo and Grian (They're my favorite hermits, so I binged them first) - Scar, Cubfan and Bdub's Season 5 - Etho's Season 7 - Scar and Docm77's Season 8 - Scar, Docm77, Tango, ZombieCleo, JoeHills, GeminiTay, Cubfan, and Ethoslab's Season 9

I'm currently working my way through False's S9, and will probably power through the upcoming seasons very quickly.

I know... very little about the hermits I haven't watched anything from so far, and not very much about some of the ones I've just started watching (Mostly just... everyone who isn't Scar, Grian, Mumbo or Docm77, they're who I like watching the most) So, if anyone knows of or has a masterlist of each season each hermit has been in, that'd be... awesome of they could send it to me Or even just... every mcyter that's been in HC? either way that'd be super helpful haha. On top of this, I think after Artfight Ends I'm gonna work on trying to make my own designs of each hermit for each season! I'll need a new art project to do while I'm at work to (Since I draw while I watch stuff here) and. why not post sketches and things while I'm here? I've wanted to practice doing character design anyways haha. I'll probably start with seasons I've already watched- maybe watch some highlight videos to get some refreshers of what was going on for those hermits to get some good ideas for those designs :D

My capstone research is going exceedingly well, in case anyone was wondering. My first trial didn’t come out of solution, the second one exploded, and the third set everything on fire.

Hello! Hate to be a bother, but I was trying to trawl through this blog's backlog, and I was wondering if you could switch it to pages instead of scrolling? I'm no Tumblr expert (far from it, in fact) but endless scrolling does make it tricky to stay in a spot, as it sends you back to the top if you reload the page.
