CRAFT
If you just can’t stop adding to the remnants box then maybe look away now. Buttonmania now has an on-line store.
For those that are familiar with Kate Boultons’ craft will already know her as Melbourne’s lady of buttons, belts and textile history. Kate has just launched her website for those that can’t travel to her beautiful studio located on the second level of Melbourne’s creative hub ‘The Nicholas Building.’
You will also find blog posts, weekly updates of buttons and notification of the “Odd Lot Sales Room” also a list of services that are available in her light-filled studio.

There are many spaces in an urban environment where you can find solitude. Walking through the seasons is one of our favourite experiences. Experience the change of light. The smells. And watch the shadows dance across the grass.
Giant trees that have seen a city change, unveil nests of native owls. The keepers of the night are naturally hunting the possums (who are partying amongst the canopies) racing over the grass to their next trunk.
Melbourne has many gardens for those who need to escape for a moment. You can start from the iconic Royal Botanic wander through the city via Fitzroy, skip over to Carlton and then finish with a small picnic at Flagstaff gardens. But there are many smaller gardens that are to be enjoyed. So why not get out and explore the seasons.
Plus if gets to cold there is always the conservatory to pop into.

Loved seeing these two friends on the pavement. We often find our greatest friendships in characters that are often opposite.

This week on Instagram; Reflection.
Explored behind the shop front of Buttonmania. Watched the petite shards of glass fall into the life of an artist down in the basement of Craft Victoria. Remembered the time we found ourselves on an Island, off an Island, off an Island.  Satellite Island one of the best secluded Islands according to some serious magazines, Check out their Instagram for some serious wanderlust!

This week on Instagram. Exploring the letter ‘K’.
A chocoholic needing her early morning fix. To native birds sitting in a foreign tree. This week had it all. But my favourite moment was viewing the city from where Sidney Myer stands. Go take a peek.

A candid moment of two friends enjoying their morning walk.
One has now found a companion named 'Christo' who happens to be a four month old female cat. This cat has become so attached to his new master that once he gets the lead ready, Christo nudges against him and off they go to meet their friends at the local park.
Had a wonderful chat with these two young pensioners. I can't wait to see them and Christo again. Only In Fitzroy.

Friday I’m in a space where you can enjoy smokin salads, awesome beats and really rad staff creating all their provisions in-house. Smoking and curing their own meats that make a killer Reuben sandwich. Get the corner nook and devour that Reuben!
