Plant of the Day
Friday 29 March 2024
The flowers of Stachyurus praecox are looking smart this year as the display is often damaged by frost. This spreading, deciduous shrub produces bell-shaped, pale yellow-green flowers on purple stems before the leaves emerge.

Has anyone tried the lemme focus gummies? I've thought about trying them but they're quite pricey (especially here in sweden) though I've heard a lot of good things about them

Plant of the Day
Monday 26 February 2024
At the entrance to my local community garden there is a cheerful greeting with a container of Iris 'Blue Note' (Reticulata). This small bulbous perennial has deep purple to blue flowers from late winter to early spring with the thin leaves lengthening after flowering.

A tender, evergreen perennial usually grown as an annual, Acmella oleracea (Pará cress, Brazil cress, eye ball plant, novacaine plant, salad cress, spot plant, toothache plant) has culinary and medicinal uses. The leaves are dark bronzy green and the petal-less yellow flowers are produced from mid-summer to early autumn.

This cultivar of Solanum lycopersicum ‘Black Moon’ (oval plum cherry tomato) is considered to have a wonderfully complex favour, even beating the legendary Solanum lycopersicum ‘Sungold’ in taste tests. The fruit have a combination of a firm, juicy texture and outstanding flavour.
