The Queen and Duchess of Cambridge met a robot and admired London rooftop views as they teamed up for their first joint engagement outside palace walls.
The pair visited Kingâs College London to open new education and learning facilities on Tuesday.
They toured the Bush House facilities and met supporters of the development, as well as visiting a roof terrace that boasts panoramic views of the capital.
Kate could be heard describing the cityscape as âimpressiveâ.
They viewed a robotics demonstration, including robotic surgery, and a demo showing how sensors made from textiles can measure useful information about the body.

Shaking a robotic hand, Kate joked: âVery nice to meet you.â

They then visited the Kingâs virtual trading floor and met students from the Entrepreneurship Institute, which exists to support entrepreneurial thinking, skills and experiences amongst Kingâs students, staff and alumni.
Kate met entrepreneur Aysha Ingar who has set up an app for Muslim women and Tobi Oredein who has set up a media platform for black women in the UK.
Ms Oredein said of Kate: âShe was saying that her parents are entrepreneurs so sheâs all for it.â

Kate also met Qasim Munye, who has set up an app called Shortly for people who want to read short stories on the go, allowing people to choose a story that suits how much time they have to read.
He said: âShe mentioned that she thinks it would be good for her children before they go to sleep.â
Mr Munye said he is now going to think about adding stories for children to the app.
They ended their visit in the developmentâs new auditorium, where the Queen, who is patron of the university, unveiled a plaque, formally opening Bush House, before signing the visitorsâ book alongside Kate.
Kate was wearing a grey Catherine Walker coat for the engagement.

The Queen was wearing a Stewart Parvin old rose cashmere coat with a silk dress of autumnal woodland in shades of grey, fuchsia and olive, teamed with a matching Rachel Trevor-Morgan hat.
In 2014, Kate joined the Queen as she hosted a night in celebration of the UKâs dramatic arts at Buckingham Palace.
The duchess joined the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in 2012 for the start of the Queenâs Jubilee tour in Leicester.
And in 2011, the Queen viewed Kateâs wedding dress with her during a private tour of a new display at Buckingham Palace.
In June 2018, a few weeks after the royal wedding, the Queen carried out joint engagements with the Duchess of Sussex in Cheshire.

ROYAL ROW: Real reason behind Meghan Markle and Kateâs 'fallout' revealed - Express
The writer behind ITV period drama, Victoria, has claimed an alleged clash between the Duchesses of Sussex of Cambridge is just history repeating itself. Daisy Goodwin, who has spent years researching royal history and diaries, claims the fall out was always going to happen. Reports of a feud between the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge have circulated for months since Meghan married Prince Harry in May 2018.
Ms Goodwin told The Daily Star: âI am fascinated by the current royals because nothing has changed.
âWhen Meghan got engaged to Harry I thought: âHow long will it be before we decide itâs daggers drawnâ because thatâs what happens. Nothing is new.
âThere is always competition among the royals about who is the most popular.
âIf you go back to the 19th Century there are lots of instances with the royals of how Princess Alexandra wouldnât talk to the Grand Duchess Maria or how Princess Louise is supposedly having an affair with the husband of another sister.â
READ MORE:Â How William and Harry were dubbed âgood prince and bad princeâ
The pair are said to have very little in common which has reportedly caused friction between Prince William and Harry.
She added: âI am fascinated by the current royals because nothing has changed.
âHistory does not have to be stuffy. It can be racier. Gossip forms a great deal of history so I put it all in â the juicy bits.
âWho knows what the real story is between Meghan and Kate?â
The royal foursome split their households earlier this month as Harry and Meghan moved into Frogmore cottage in Windsor.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first child together in late April or early May.
The pair have been spotted receiving an award-winning British pram, iCandy which arrived at their estate earlier this week.
Meghan is also reportedly planning another baby shower in the next coming weeks which her mother, Doria Ragland will attend.

Nawab Taimur Ali Khan enjoys a royal horse ride on Sunday â view pic - Bollywood Life
Taimur Ali Khanâs adorable public outings are out daily dose of entertainment and with his latest day-trip, the star kid has established his royalty. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khanâs two-year-old toddler went out for a horse-riding trip on Sunday and looked pretty amused about it. This star kid has been enjoying regular horse riding trips and it seems like it has lot to do with his royal genes. Check out Taimurâs royal ride below:
After an eventful horse ride, Taimurâs Sunday continued with leaping on a trampoline. The fun Sunday continued with Taimur enjoying a play-date with his cousin sister Inaaya Naumi Khemmu. Taimur and Inaaya are paparazziâs favourite star kids and are often spotted playing together.
And while Taimur Ali Khan continues to be in the limelight, Kareena Kapoor recently defended her son being trolled on social media. A social media comment had suggested that Taimur had lost weight and that Bebo was not being the good mother to him. On Arbaaz Khanâs chat show Pinch, Kareena had an epic retort to the troll, the actress stated, âBut woh bechara bhooka nai marra hai. In fact, I think kuch zaada hi kha raha hai aajkal. Mota lag raha hai (He is not starving. In fact, I think he is eating a lot these days and has started looking fat).â
Kareena Kapoor Khan has time and again defended her stand as a mother, as she juggles work and Taimur. She will next be seen in Good News, alongside Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani, which is due to release in September. Apart from this, Bebo has a massive multi-starrer scheduled with Karan Johar. The actress has signed on the dotted line for KJoâs Mughal period drama which will feature Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Jhanvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.

Rowling does gays more harm than good - Royal Gazette

Rowling does gays more harm than good - Royal Gazette
J.K. Rowling never had to fight for her freedom to marry and it shows.
Seemingly unsatisfied with the shock value of making the characters in her Harry Potter franchise racially ambiguous, she has decided to double-down on her 2007 declaration that Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore, a beloved elderly male character, is gay. Last week, in an interview added to the Blu-ray DVD for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Rowling confirmed something fans have long wondered: Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald, a dark wizard who is a friend-cum-rival, had âa relationship with a sexual dimensionâ.
I have never cast a spell before, so here goes nothing: tedious gravitas!
In the DVD commentary, Rowling says: âTheir relationship was incredibly intense. It was passionate, and it was a love relationship. But as happens in any relationship, gay or straight or whatever label we want to put on it, one never knows, really, what the other person is feeling. You canât know, you can believe you know. So Iâm less interested in the sexual side â although I believe there is a sexual dimension to this relationship â than I am in the sense of the emotions they felt for each other, which ultimately is the most fascinating thing about all human relationships.â
Viewers and readers especially cannot know feelings between two characters when neither uses words or actions to express them. Thereâs a word for that: closeted. By imbuing Dumbledore with a sexuality that does not speak its name, ink its page, or fill its screen in 2019, Rowling outs herself again as a 1990s throwback of a grandstanding faux-ally. âDo not pity the dead, Harry,â Dumbledore tells Harry in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. âPity the living, and, above all those who live without love.â
Pity characters penned in fictional, unnecessary closets even more.
Rowling published the first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopherâs Stone, in Britain in 1997. She wrote six more Harry Potter books before she outed Dumbledore, which she did only after the final novel was published. Just like this time, that revelation came not in the text, but in a 2007 question-and-answer session with fans, who broke into rapturous applause. She described Dumbledore not just as a gay man, but as broken, pathetic, unrequited, lonely, doomed. In those intervening years â when 21-year-old Matthew Shepard was brutally murdered in an anti-gay hate crime, when same-sex marriage was illegal in most US states and in Britain â the children reading her books could have used a beloved gay character, which might have given gay life some sorely needed heroes. Rowling has said she wrote some aspects of the novels, such as Hermione Granger and Ron Weasleyâs relationship, as âa form of wish fulfilmentâ.
An openly gay Dumbledore was not her wish.
What if she had heeded Dumbledoreâs own wisdom? âItâs our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities,â the Hogwarts headmaster tells the boy wizard in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. âCall him Voldemort, Harry. Always use the proper name for things. Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself.â
Hereâs a sharper take from WNYCâs Nancy, a queer podcast, which, in a 2017 episode called âThere Are No Gay Wizardsâ, took issue with Rowling getting too much credit for writing an âiconic gay characterâ, as the showâs producer Matt Collette put it. âOf all J.K. Rowlingâs many accolades, thereâs one I find particularly noteworthy: queerbaiter,â Collette said. âThatâs a writer who puts in just enough of a queer storyline to appease the fans whoâd like one, but not so much as to offend anyone who doesnât like gay people. Thereâs subtext â hints at queer stories â throughout her work, but nothing more.â
How could this clumsy betrayal by a clueless straight woman get any worse? By her straight male director, David Yates, chiming in within the same DVD commentary: âI was very conscious of wanting to try to suggest that Dumbledore still held this affection for Grindelwald. There was not just regret, but there was still a love that existed between the two men.â
The love existed between them because neither offered a bridge to close that distance.
And, sorry, Yates was very conscious of wanting to try to suggest? What does that mean? Wanting to try is for bucket lists and Kamasutra positions. Thereâs such barbed hypocrisy in this self-congratulatory pride about a closeted character from someone who was so aware of the power and perils of representation and misrepresentation that she hid her femininity behind her initials.
Cowardice expellum!
I understand Rowling is a 53-year-old childrenâs book author and that maybe it is difficult to access Gossip Girl or Riverdale or Big Mouth in Britain, but teen romantic culture â and sexual culture â has come a long way since she began this franchise in the 1990s. It doesnât need to be the rote, prudish Potterverse pettiness of ill-conceived Valentineâs Day dates, rookie kisses, and showing up to the school dance with a surprise on your arm. Remember when Rowling prided herself on the length of the books, scolding the industry for underestimating the amount of complexity young readers could handle? What happened to that person?
For her characters, romantic and sexual emotion exists in Rowlingâs mind with the no-questions-asked simplicity of invisibility cloaks and the quidditch rulebook. Harry never ever thinks of Cho Chang when he is kissing Ginny. Ron and Hermione do not have talks about how to spice up their sex life â pardon, their lovemaking. She has fetishised Dumbledoreâs gay pain so much that she is unwilling to write any healing for him. But Dumbledore deserves that Brokeback breakthrough every out person gets: âIt could be like this, just like this, always.â
Rowling does not understand how painful it is for queer people to see a straight person be proud of open vagueness. In the real world, we donât get to do that. All queer sexual identities are defined explicitly by their expression. While straight virgins are accepted and respected, queer virgins are rushed with gaslighting doubts, such as: How do you know until you try it? Are you confused? Could this be a phase?
The books and movies span seven years of Potterâs life and decades of ours. But no one has lived in the Potterverse longer or deeper than Rowling. Her persistence, then, in promoting a storyline that isnât actually in the story is becoming unforgivable. Closeted Dumbledore is her Jar-Jar Binks, and she is curdling into the Potterverseâs George Lucas â well-intentioned and respected as tenured emeritus, but ultimately distrusted to continue the canonical work.
If Rowling thinks, in a fantasy world of magic and possibility and polyjuice potion and metamorphmagi, that easter-egging a character as ex-post-facto closeted is in any way helpful to anyone wondering what to do with gay thoughts and gay feelings, she is wrong.
Dumbledoreâs pep talk on love rings as hollow as gays who strike thirsty NOH8 poses and cheer #lovewins but then also decry fats, femmes and âblack guysâ on their dating profiles or hook-up apps.
Rowlingâs toxic vacuity is not an incidental problem. Her fans are the sort of people who have been so inspired that they have created the Harry Potter Alliance, which âturns fans into heroesâ for equality. Itâs a beautiful manifestation of fans who grew up and decided to bring the magic of literacy to others. Itâs time for Rowling to grow up, too.
As an artist and creator, she has the ability to show us anything. Then, why choose to show us so little of what she has imagined for Dumbledore? In all these years, in all her work, she does not yet believe in the full power of the only real magic wand that exists in her world: her pencil.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal baby to break record held by Prince Louis? - HELLO!
New Post has been published on https://harryandmeghan.xyz/meghan-markle-and-prince-harrys-royal-baby-to-break-record-held-by-prince-louis-hello/
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal baby to break record held by Prince Louis? - HELLO!
Not long before we find out!
March 18, 2019 â 14:39 GMTHanna Fillingham Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their first baby, and royal fans are guessing everything from the gender to the name. But will it break the royal record Prince Louis holds?
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are getting ready to welcome their first baby together, and royal fans are already placing bets on everything from the gender to the name. And while the newborn will already be a member of the royal family, they could also set about breaking a new record. At the moment, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridgeâs son Prince Louis holds title as the heaviest heir to the throne in a century, weighing in at 8 pounds 7 ounces. Louis is also Prince Charlesâ biggest grandchild so far â with Prince George weighing 8 pounds 6 ounces when he was born, and Princess Charlotte weighing 8 pounds 3 ounces â but this may well change when Harry and Meghanâs baby arrives.
Will Prince Harry and Meghanâs baby be the heaviest heir to the throne?
While Louis is currently the biggest heir to the throne, he isnât the heaviest baby to be born into the royal family. This title is held by Mike and Zara Tindallâs baby daughter Lena, who weighed in at 9 pounds 3 ounces when she was born in June 2018. Before this, Peter Phillips and his wife Autumnâs oldest daughter, Savannah Phillips had been the biggest baby, having been born weighing 8 pounds 8 ounces.

Prince Louis is currently the heaviest royal heir
The entire royal family are looking forward to the arrival of a new baby. Meghan has revealed that she is due to give birth at the end of April, or early May, and she is already stepping back on engagements as her due date gets nearer. The Duchess was last seen out at the weekend as she attended the christening of Lena Tindall. The low-key ceremony was held at St Nicholas Church in Cherington, Gloucestershire, and Meghan was all smiles as she walked out of the church with husband Prince Harry. The event was also attended by the Queen and Princess Anne, although Prince Philip and the Cambridges were absent.
READ: Why the royal baby WONâT have the same surname as Meghan and Harry
Harry and Meghanâs baby will be a new playmate for cousins George, Charlotte and Louis. In December, Kate revealed that she was looking forward to her children having another playmate. During a visit to Leicester University, she said: âItâs such a special time to all have kiddies. And a cousin for George and Charlotte as well, and Louis. So it will be really special.â

Opinion | Let Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry escape the royal family â at least halfway - TheSpec.com
But the subtext of those now forgotten eloping rumours â that Harry and Meghan are willing to buck Buckingham Palace norms and go it alone â endures.
If anything, that subtext is now a flashing neon billboard.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will soon leave Kensington Palace for Frogmore Cottage. Parenthood is on the horizon. And depending on what you believe, there is now a feud between Markle and sister-in-law Kate Middleton. Or there is bad blood between Harry and his brother William. Or both couples really canât stand each other.
Whatever the truth, in the helter-skelter of blurry royal coverage, a picture has emerged of Harry and Meghan as reluctant stars inside an arcane ecosystem they donât particularly fancy. They are together alone, itching to twist out of their royal shackles. They want to pursue their own hopes and dreams, many of which do not overlap with their official duties.
They are doves locked inside a gilded cage.
In the Sunday Times this weekend, a story â âQueen halts breakaway bid by Prince Harry and Meghanâ â claimed the young couple even attempted to seek âtotal royal freedomâ to create an âautonomous new court.â They were rebuffed.
âThey wanted their household to be entirely independent of Buckingham Palace, but were told âno,â â a source told the paper. âThere is an institutional structure that doesnât allow that kind of independence. The feeling is that itâs good to have the Sussexes under the jurisdiction of Buckingham Palace, so they canât just go off and do their own thing.â
It seems Harry and Meghan want to âbuild a global âSussex brandâ of philanthropy and humanitarianism,â according to the paper, âwith a new style of work distinctive from other members of the royal family.â
But the Queen and Prince of Wales were like, âAh, no thank you. If weâre footing the bill, you need to be part of the team. You canât have it both ways.â
To which Iâd argue: yes, they can.
The solution? Itâs time for Harry and Meghan to embrace a radical idea and become part-time royals. Itâs time to split the calendar between London and anywhere else.
Itâs time for them to be liberated from the burden of expectation.
For six months each year, Harry and Meghan fulfil their royal obligations. Then for the other six months, they do whatever they want, wherever they want. Charitable outreach? Feminist advocacy? A dog-grooming business? It doesnât matter.
Maybe they spend six months in Los Angeles, in proximity to their celebrity pals, including George Clooney, who has become Meghanâs unofficial spokesperson in recent weeks. Maybe they live in Toronto, running various missions inside a city that will let them come and go as they please.
The point is, as their marriage exists right now, they are chafing and suffocating.
These two are royalty in name, but not in their hearts.
So why not open the cage, at least for half the year? Why not create an unprecedented situation in which these two are hybrid royals â still part of the family and still able to build the Sussex brand they covet?
Letâs get real: the Duke and Duchess do not need the royal family as much as the royal family needs them. And, increasingly, what they want is space.
Controlling them will only push them further away.
So letting them loose for half the year is the best way to not lose them altogether.

How Meghan Markle Is Spending the Last Weeks of Her Pregnancy - ELLE.com
Meghan Markle is just four to five weeks away from the due date for her and Prince Harryâs first baby, a source close to the couple tells ELLE.com, but the Duchess of Sussex hasnât begun her maternity leave quite yet. The source said Meghan is feeling great. She will continue working for about two weeks before she takes a well-deserved break from royal engagements and gets ready to give birth to Baby Sussex.
The Duchess of Sussex is winding down her schedule by end of March. Though sources say she may do one more public engagement before the baby is due, Meghan has been holding several meetings privately related to her humanitarian work. Meghan had one such meeting last week, when she met with her patronage the National Theatreâs executive director, Lisa Burger, and artistic director, Rufus Norris, last Wednesday, according to the Court Circular (which records all the royalsâ events).
Meghan and Harry are also preparing for their move into Frogmore Cottage, a 10-bedroom house the Queen gave them thatâs currently undergoing renovations. A Royal insider shared that the home âhas more space for childrenâ when Meghan and Harry further expand their family and of course âhas a special place in their hearts.â The twoâs second wedding reception was at Frogmore House, after all, and their wedding was at the nearby Windsor Castle.
Vicky Charles, who created the iconic Soho House look, has been overseeing the interior flourishes of Meghan and Harryâs Frogmore Cottage residence with her partner Julia Corden. As sources made clear to ELLE.com before, the couple have been very involved in the renovation process, and Meghan has been juggling her charitable work while overseeing it.

Sarah Ferguson SHOCK: Claim Fergie felt 'insecure and vulnerable' at royal wedding - Express

Sarah Ferguson SHOCK: Claim Fergie felt 'insecure and vulnerable' at royal wedding - Express
Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrewâs ten-year marriage ended in divorce in 1996, after their scandal-laden 1992 separation, and the Duchess of York faced a period of being frozen out from the Royal Family. She did not attend the 2011 wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, however the Duchess â otherwise known as Fergie â was present for the marriage of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle in 2018. Podcast âPod Save the Queenâ is hosted by Ann Gripper and regularly features Daily Mirror Royal Editor Russell Myers.Â
In June, listeners heard from body language expert Judi James on how Fergie was âinsecureâ and âvulnerableâ on the big day at St Georgeâs Chapel, Windsor.
Ms James said: âHer body language I found very touching actually, she had to walk in by herself.
âShe was doing these little baby waves and a slightly creeping walk.
âShe was clearly doing a good act of lowering her own status, it was as though she was creeping in via the servantsâ entrance.
âI thought that was a bit of a shame and it was unnecessary.
âI noticed that one of her daughters quite quickly said, âWhereâs mum?â
âIn a church that small, I think that was a bit mean.â
Ms James also noted that Meghanâs mother Doria Ragland attended the event on her own.
She said: âThey could have put Fergie with [Doria Ragland]. I didnât like both of those women appearing to be on their own.â
Podcast host Ann Gripper asked: â[Fergie] seemed a bit more the centre of attention of the walk up [to the church]?â
Ms James explained: âWhat was interesting about that walk, she did look as through she was striding out and using it at a catwalk.
âBut when you look closely, itâs interesting how much effort she was putting in to looking that brave.
âShe would do a big beaming wave to the crowd but then her face would suddenly drop.
âShe went from being very much the old, quite boisterous Fergie, to looking momentarily quite downcast, quite vulnerable.
âThat sucked-in lip expression is often a sign of regret.
âI think we were actually watching someone who felt quite vulnerable.â
Small waves where the hand is not held very high, Ms Jones said, are â usually a sign of insecurity, a desire to be liked, and not feeling too sure of yourselfâ.

Royally CUTE: Cambridge children spotted on DAY OUT while their parents attend duties - Express
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis spent the day playing in Kensington Gardens with their nanny Maria Theresa Turin Borrallo. They were spotted by Netty Royal, who posted on Twitter: âWhen you walk around Kensington Gardens before departure and you see the nanny with all three kids.â The royal fan also wrote on their blog afterwards that Louis was pushed by his nanny in a pushchair.
But George and Charlotte were racing around the garden on their bikes.
Meanwhile, their parents visited Hounslow, in west London, on Sunday, to visit the 1st Battalion Irish Guards at their base.
Kate and Prince William always watch 350 soldiers take part in the parade, before William then takes the salute.
Following this, Kate hands out shamrocks to officers in a tradition stared by been Alexandra, the wife of Edward VII, in 1901.Â
The Cambridge clan are known for enjoying the great outdoors.Â
The Duchess of Cambridge has said in the past she loves âsimple family momentsâ with her children, such as âplaying outside togetherâ.
She also wrote an open letter to support Childrenâs Hospice Week last year.
Kate wrote: âSpending quality time together is such an important aspect of family life and for me, as a mother, it is the simple family moments like playing outside together that are cherish.âÂ
Kate was seen feeding the ducks at the Round Pond in Hyde Park with baby Louis last month.Â
George and Charlotte often play football in the palace gardens too.
The young children are said to also enjoy hunting for spiders in the garden too.
Kate said she hunts spiders âfor hoursâ with George and Charlotte while attending the Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden.
Last December, Kate also revealed her children are looking forward to having another cousin to play with soon, when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcome their first child.
During a visit to Leicester University, she said: âItâs such a special time to all have kiddies.
âAnd a cousin for George and Charlotte as well, as Louis. So it will be really special.â

Prince William and Catherine step out for the Irish Guards St Patrick's Day parade - LaineyGossip

Prince William and Catherine step out for the Irish Guards St Patrick's Day parade - LaineyGossip
Prince William and Catherine, per tradition, stepped out for the Irish Guards St Patrickâs Day parade yesterday in Hounslow. Kate wore green Alexander McQueen and her brooch is Cartier, a piece that belonged to the Queen Mother.
Throughout the day, Will and Kate met with service members and showed up to the guardsmanâs lunch, where they toasted with a pint of Guinness each, even though thereâs a new rumour about Kate being pregnant again. Apparently at an event recently she saw a baby and told the mother that it made her feel âbroodyâ. That was before the Guinness happened. Last year, when she was pregnant with Louis the Trey, she abstained on the Guinness. If she didnât abstain this yearâŚ
Letâs focus instead on the news last week that House Cambridge and House Sussex will be separating, which weâve been expecting for months now. After all four young royals were together last week at Commonwealth Day service and getting on well, there hasnât been as much drama about the split as there would have been a few weeks ago when the tabloids were still trying to manufacture tension between the couples. This seems to be a natural progression as both William and Harry are heads of their own families now. But, also, going forward, when William becomes Prince of Wales and eventually King of England, Harry and Meghan will be an asset to him, as they are currently to the Queen and the institution, which Her Majesty clearly recognises. The Sussex popularity has been a royal advantage over the last couple of years â that wonât change when the sovereign changes. The whole point of being royal is staying royal and maintaining royal; itâs a team effort, at least for the next couple of decades, until Willâs own children step into the spotlight, which he and Kate are trying to put off for as long as possible. You know, weâre only 8 years away from Big G becoming a teenager. I canât f-cking wait.Â
Hereâs Kate greeting Domhnall, the Irish wolfhound yesterday.Â
Time to ask my favourite question: WHEREâS LUPO!?

Prince Charles ecstatic to be a doting grandfather to Harry and Meghan's baby - New Idea
Meghan Markle and Prince Charles have always had a close bond, but their special relationship was on full display this week when Charles was seen sharing a sweet word with his very pregnant daughter-in-law at Westminster Abbey.Â
There have been numerous reports that the Prince of Wales and the former Hollywood actress are as thick as thieves, and according to news.com.au, Charles is ecstatic about being one doting grandfather to Meghan and Harryâs tot.Â
The outlet reports that Charles has always been a somewhat distant figure in the lives of Kate and Williamâs three children, but the royal is now determined to be a warm and frequent presence in the life of the Duke and Duchess of Sussexâs first child.Â
According to news.com.au, when it came to being a grandparent to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, Charles felt âleft outâ of his grandchildrenâs lives and frequently complained that he âalmost neverâ got to see a young Prince George.Â
As a result, the relationship has been viewed as cold by many royal onlookers, with the common perception being that Charles was the distant grandparent while Kateâs parents were heavily involved with their grandchildren.Â
Charles didnât even attend Prince Georges first birthday party, which even the Queen made it too, instead, the Prince of Wales chose to visit a squirrel conservation project in Scotland.

Now, Charles is viewing Meghan and Harryâs baby as a âdo-overâ.Â
A friend told the publication: âAt the time Prince George was born, Charles was less easy in the role of a grandfather.
âBut now he welcomes each new arrival with a wider grin and even more open arms. He loves the happy chaos of it all.â
Of course, it helps that Charles and Meghan â who has a fraught relationship with her own father â share an extremely close bond.

A palace insider and friend of Charles told the publication: âHe [Charles] was captivated by Meghan when he first met her. He thought she was extremely intelligent, hardworking and impressive. They have a genuinely warm relationship.
âWhen she first moved to London Meghan was very interested in the history of the family. Art was the medium through which they talked about it. They have a lot in common. He has a natural affection for her.â

Prince Harry will take a break from royal duties to focus on fatherhood once Meghan Markle gives birth - New Idea
Heâs just weeks away from fatherhood, and now Prince Harry has revealed his plans for once the royal baby arrives. And itâs so sweet!
According to the Express, the Duke of Sussex will take two weeks off once Meghan gives birth to the couples first child next month.
A friend told the UK publication, His Royal Highness wants to be a âmodern dadâ and will do his best to support his wife in her transition to motherhood.
âHe doesnât need to take paternity leave because he doesnât work in the way most people do but he thinks itâs a very modern dad thing to do.â
Meanwhile, it is believed the Queen is more than happy for her grandson to take a break from his royal duties.
âIâm sure Her Majesty will accommodate a break from duties,â A Buckingham Palace aide told the Express.
News of Harryâs sweet plans come just days after it was revealed soon-to-be mum Meghan will have yet another baby shower in the UK.
Only this time her sister-in-law Kate Middleton will be attending after it was previously reported the Duchess of Cambridge found Meghanâs previous lavish baby shower in New York âhighly inappropriateâ.
Fashion designer Victoria Beckham has also made the guest list.

This Is Why Meghan Markle Isn't Wearing Her Engagement Ring - Grazia

This Is Why Meghan Markle Isn't Wearing Her Engagement Ring - Grazia
Š Getty Images
Itâs surprisingly relatable
Meghan Markle loves to wear a ring. And, from the aquamarine Princess Diana ring she wore as she dashed off to her wedding reception, to the stacked Pippa Small gold and diamond ring she wore to Princess Eugenieâs wedding, sheâs certainly not short of options to adorn her fingers with.
However, eagle-eyed royal watchers spotted Meghan out and about last week without her engagement ring on, prompting calls of âhow dare sheâ, âwhat is she doing?!â and âwhat an insult!â But if you were one of those outraged by her slipping off her engagement ring, please rest assured â she had good reason.
Š Getty Images
The most prominent theory about why Meghan Markle attended her engagement at Canada House with Prince Harry without her ring is that her fingers have swollen due to pregnancy, and so sheâs taking a break from wearing it. She did however wear her gold wedding band, which was made from Welsh gold by Cleave and Company.
Some others speculated the diamond engagement ring, which features gems from Princess Dianaâs collection, was being cleaned.

Getty
See, we told you that Meghan is a fan of the colour navy. Lots of her dress choices â like this two-toned number by Roksanda â feature varying shades of blue.
Getty
Letâs face it: we canât blame Meghan for her love affair with navy â she really does know how to pull the colour off, and itâs complementary against her dark hair colour.

When we first saw Meghan wearing this forest green Brandon Maxwell dress, we fell hard in love, and in all honestly, we havenât stopped thinking about it since.

This classy white dress by Australian designer Karen Gee was the first item that Meghan was spotted in after the news of her pregnancy was confirmed.
Interestingly, protocol dictates that royals donât have to wear wedding rings at all. Prince William, for example, doesnât wear one at all, nor does Prince Phillip. Itâs all down to personal preference, and royals can choose whether to wear a ring or not; Princes Charles and Harry both wear wedding bands.
But Meghan Markle isnât the only expectant mother to forgo wearing jewellery or tight shoes due to swelling, here are some other strange things the body does when pregnant:
Your voice can get lower as more oestrogen and progesterone are created, which affects lung capacity and muscle control, this can result in swelling of the vocal chords.
Hair starts growing all over your body, including the face, chest and arms.
Bad breath is common among some pregnant women as hormones changes contribute to excess bacteria in the mouth, but on the plus side â NHS dental appointments are free during pregnancy.
Your vagina can go blue. Yes you read that correctly, itâs all because of an increase in blood flow to the area.
You can get really sweaty. Just another joyous side effect, thought to be caused by increased blood flow and metabolism.

Seven words Meghan Markle âcanât sayâ now sheâs royal, including couch, dessert and perfume - The Sun
New Post has been published on https://harryandmeghan.xyz/seven-words-meghan-markle-cant-say-now-shes-royal-including-couch-dessert-and-perfume-the-sun/
Seven words Meghan Markle âcanât sayâ now sheâs royal, including couch, dessert and perfume - The Sun
THE Royals never need to utter the words âmortgageâ, âbin nightâ or âhave you paid the gas bill?â â unlike us mere mortals.
But there are also a list of words which Meghan Markle canât say now sheâs a member of the Royal Family, itâs an etiquette thing.
Getty â Contributor
The Royals never say the words âtoiletâ or âpardon?â â theyâre considered bad etiquette
From couch to perfume, these are the surprising offenders we all useâŚ
1. Whereâs the toilet?
If you ever find yourself within the hallowed walls of Buckingham Palace, this is not the question you want to ask.
You may think itâs the politest word to use, but the Royals prefer to say âlooâ over âtoiletâ â you can blame its French origins.
2. Couch potato
Getty â Pool
There are absolutely no âcouchesâ or Royal âloungesâ in Kensington Palace â itâs a âsofaâ and a âsitting roomâ
Never say âcouchâ in a Royal residence, they only have âsofasâ donât you know? Couch is a wee bit common.
The Sussex and Cambridgesâ Kensington Palace apartments may have dozens of rooms but none of them are a lounge, or a living room for that matter.
As Royals, they donât need a room dedicated to binge watching Netflix documentaries and playing Cards Against Humanity.
Instead, itâs a âdrawing roomâ or âsitting roomâ, depending on how grand your home is.
Getty â Pool
The first rule of being posh? Never utter that word
3. Sheâs so posh
The first rule of being posh is that you should never use the word to describe anyone else, or yourself for that matter, unless youâre being ironic.
Kate Middleton would say âsmartâ instead.
4. Pardon?
Thought it was more polite to say âpardonâ, did you?
Weâre afraid you should be sticking to âsorryâ or even âsorry, what?â in Royal circles.
Social anthropologist Kate Fox told Business Insider the word pardon is a âpet hateâ of the upper classes.
The Royals donât wear âperfumeâ either â itâs a âscentâ, thank you very much
5. Makes scents
Donât even think about asking the Queen what her lovely âperfumeâ is.
The very word will make her cringe, leaving your compliment going down like a lead balloon.
Royals say âscentâ instead.
6. Time for tea?
This evening meal isnât âteaâ or âdinnerâ, itâs called âsupperâ among the upper classes
This one already divides Northerners and Southerners, but youâd never catch a Royal referring to their evening meal as âteaâ.
Afternoon tea is something else entirely â a selection of scones, triangle-shaped sandwiches and sweet treats served with a cuppa at 4pm.
But donât say âdinnerâ either, that word is reserved for large formal occasions with visiting heads of state or other monarchs.
The Royals eat breakfast, lunch and âsupperâ. Got it?
Royals say âpuddingâ rather than âdessertâ, and they definitely wouldnât call it âaftersâ
7. Just desserts
While weâre on the topic of food, the Royals donât eat âdessertâ either.
