Those tentacles weren’t imaginary. Luckily for you they weren’t smart or strong. The things you can do with adrenaline rushing through you are kind of amazing.
You also wonder how the things got there. It doesn’t even look like they have a body.
Things are just really weird and you want to get out as fast as you can. Everyone knows putting a kid through stress and making them kill things is bad for their mental health.
You forgo throwing Pico at the camera, seeing as it nothing the last time you did. Not to mention you are kind of stressed out and shaken right now. It’s a good idea to keep looking around and finding a way out.
The more you think about getting out the less likely your chances of survival seem.
Good thing you are a smart kid. You rummage through the drawers on the workbench. The top two are empty except for two quarters, which you take with you. The bottom drawer has more in it.
There is a 20 sided die and a matchbox with two matches in it next to each other. There is also a yellow card in here. I looks kind of like one of the cards you swipe to unlock a door. There are no numbers or letters on it. You take everything and add them to your inventory.

Recap 1
[it's not necessary, but it will help me keep track]
Vance is a teenage boy who wakes up to find his hand stuck in a hole. The room appears to be a small cell with a vent and some buttons. He doesn't appear to be very intelligent.
Vance decides to push buttons. Button 3 did nothing when he pressed it. Button 2 opened a small hatchway in the side of the wall. The noise alerted a girl on the other side of the wall.
You are now the girl. Your name is Laura and your room looks similar, except that there is a camera and your hand isn't stuck. The first thing you do is pick up the stuffed bunny, because it's damn cute. You named him Pico, because he's small and cute. Then you throw the cute bunny at the camera, which does absolutely nothing.
You exit out into the hallway. The hatch that leads to the boy's room is accessible. You hand him a paper you found under Pico. The note is cryptic and dumb, you think. Probably by some dumb person who used to live here.
Laura tries to open one of the doors in the hallway only to find it locked. Vance pushes button 2 again and the hatch slams shut. Great job hero. Meanwhile Laura hallucinates that Pico is talking to her. Uh Oh.
Vance opens the hatch again. He isn't THAT dumb. Afterwards he folds the paper into a paper fedora. It looks good on him, the artist thinks. Then someone enters a cheat code. Suddenly Vance notices the other wall of his cell and the door there.
On a whim, Vance checks his hat for candy and finds two orange fruit candies. Laura seems unimpressed as she crawls through the hatch, Pico in tow, and checks to see if the door is unlocked. It is. Laura gives Vance the thumbs up.
Laura exits into a room with another camera and a workbench filled with tools and a few books. The blood is intimidating to her young mind. However, she grabs the butcher knife, raises it high above her head and shouts! "By the power of Greyskull, i have the power!" But nothing happens except that the readers get a cool flashy gif. Also Laura does not have Eldritch Powers.
Pico later slaps the artist for breaking the fourth wall and she gets back to work drawing the next panels to update!

Back to the Adventure! Hiatus-End
Hey guys I'm back!
It's been really stressful lately, lots of people around me, myself and my family included, are going through really hard times. Money is short and I find myself underfed a lot of the time and really tired and bummed out. That and some asshole in the neighborhood is messing with us, it seems. My bike tire has been slashed (fixed now but I haven't tried it yet) and hammered screws into my mom's car tire.
I don't feel safe in my own house, guys.
Just thought I would update you on what was going on and apologize for lack of updates recently. It really sucks. I want to keep this adventure alive and going on a regular basis. I WANT to do one update every day or so, but I can't do anything unless people suggest things. :o This IS a reader-dependent adventure, after all.
So that's whats up. I'm going to make a quick recap and then draw out the next few suggestions. :3

((I know I haven't really been updating Handstuck anyway (other important work) But now I will have to wait even longer to update it. I had my computer stolen and will not be able to make new panels unless I am able to use my friends' resources. Handstuck will be on a long Hiatus, until March 2013 at the MOST!))

Vance gives Laura the paper-fedora. But she decides it is too big and also silly looking on Pico. After some thought, Laura just gives the hat back to Vance.
Laura opens the door.
It's quite a bit bigger of a space, with a door, a few signs, a barred off hallway in which the bars are bent, and a workbench with tools, saws and a book on it.
Immediately, Laura is drawn to investigate due to her over-curious nature.
There is a book, titled "Torture Methods", along with a bloody flat-head screwdriver, a tray of scalpels and needles, a bone-saw, a bloody saw, and a meat cleaver. There also seems to be blood on one of the handles.
Laura doesn't have a sword. But she grabs the most sword-like object, the meat cleaver. She would have grabbed the saw, but it's got blood on it. Laura is a bit squeamish.
She lifts it up with a mighty shout!
"BY THE POWER OF GREYSKULL! I HAVE THE POWER!"
Nothing happens.
You also have no idea how to summon "Eldrich Powers". Sounds tentacl-y though. Laura isn't too fond of tentacles.

Laura crawls through the hatch. She is now in the same room as Vance.
What's he so happy about anyway? Whatever.
Vance asks Laura to go check the door and see if it's unlocked.
Thumbs up. The universal sign of a good thing (in most countries).
The door is unlocked.

((NOTE: Wow, guys, I really didn't plan for Laura to crawl through the hatch. In fact I never though of it. And when I realized, yeah, she fits... wow. This is going to be interesting now and I'm really excited to see how things will turn out.))

Pico whispers eerily to you. He tells you to kill Vance, kill the boy kill him kill him kill him kill him kill the boy!
Your hand reaches for a button in your room, hoping it will do something awful to the boy. And when you push it-
Wait. That wasn't Pico. He can't talk. He's a stuffed rabbit.
Buttons 1 and 3 still seem to not do anything. So you open the hatch again.
Laura seems happy to see you again!
The note was already read.
It's still cryptic and dumb as ever. Someone's diary page perhaps. It doesn't bear any significance to you.
But it makes a spiffy paper fedora. Vance looks rather handsome now, don't you think?
You finally notice the other wall.
Thanks cheat code!

The doors are locked. Laura kind of wonders why she thought they would be unlocked in the first place but hey, why not try?
Save game? That’s ridiculous, who ever said this was a game?
Vance pushes button #2 again.

You pick up the bunny stuffed animal. His name is Pico and you had him for a while, you think. Life before you woke up here is a bit foggy.
There is a piece of paper under Pico. You decide it’s best to take it with you. You stash it in your inventory.
That camera bothers you. GO PICO!
Congratulations. You manage to bump it.
You quickly relate your current surroundings to your neighbour. Then you walk over to the door and cautiously push it open, taking Pico with you.
You are in a dark hallway. The light from your room and a hole in the wall illuminates a small portion of it, including a few other doors.
Quite frankly you are starting to get creeped out by this whole ordeal. You just want to curl up and go to sleep and forget about everything and wake up in your bed with your mother or whoever took care of you coaxing you awake with fresh breakfast. Thats right, this is just a big nightmare and that voice is asking what that noise is and you know it’s just your imagination. Yes, one crazy dream.

You feel around in the hole for a bit trying to find something, anything. Your efforts are rewarded with a sharp stinging around your wrists. Ow.
In your most manly voice you claim you are the girl’s father. She hastily replies with a sharp “NO”. Apparently her father died at his job. You ask her what his job was. He worked in construction. Oh, well okay.
Feeling what you think might be blood running down your hand from your wrist you remember that you really want to get the hell out of here. Let’s stop talking about parents. What does button #1 do? What? Button #1? There is no 1 on any of these buttons, what are you talking about? Never-mind.

Without thinking twice you push button #2. It lights up and you hear a sound from behind you.
A small compartment has opened! Hurray! For a moment you think you did something right.
You hear a voice coming from the grated window. It asks who’s there? You think it sounds like a child, a little girl.

You have never heard the term “pokemon” before in your life and you doubt it will have any importance in your escape.
There is nothing in the room besides the buttons and the grated window, let alone anything to help you get your hand free from it’s small prison.
You assume properties means “stats”, not like you have any awareness of these “stats” as things. Nor can you see the box that appears out of nowhere that shows clearly how UN-intelligent you are.
You reach to push a button when suddenly you feel scared to push even one of them. After all, you have no idea how you got here or how you got yourself trapped in a teenie hole.
Pick a button, 1, 2 or 3. Or none. Whichever suits you best.
