World be ready bc I have a killer headache, a deadline for electrical blueprints and an idea for a fic. And it goes like this:

«For a moment everything around him is silent, there is nothing, absolutely nothing. He can see the mechanics gesticulating, he can see the reporters asking without stopping to breathe, he can see how the world keeps turning around him. But not him; not Lewis.
His smile is faked and there is a bitter taste in his mouth, his heartbeat rumbles in his ears and in Lewis mind only one scene is repeated, only seven words are repeated.
"I stayed at Toto's the night before..." the happiness in George's voice is obvious, and Lewis can't blame him; in the end George doesn't know anything about what has been happening behind the closed doors of Toto's office—or at least that's what Lewis wants to believe—.
He can't do anything but see happiness on Toto's face, who a couple of meters back, leaning against one of the desks, observes everything that happens. Lewis can do nothing but accept that the story he has so much kept inside his soul has come to an end.
Only that he would have liked to receive a warning and not find himself with a broken heart in a worldwide broadcast.»

Here he was sat at the table listening as the younger drivers of the grid were speaking about some issues they were having.
Lewis had been there for support.
The only Omega on the grid.
Conversations drowned out as his mind took him to the moment in the pack room that had happened earlier on in the day. Flashes of a pale back, muscles stretching tightly, swear glistening.
There was a cough that brought Lewis's attention back to the meeting and he realised everyone was looking at him with shocked yet lustful looks.
It was then he realised that his scent was showing.
"Sorry"
Grabbing his bag, he departed out of the office and rushed over to Daniel's driver room.

Nico is there, in front of him. If Lewis stretches his hand, if he stands on his toes and bends, maybe he can reach him, maybe his fingertips will manage to touch the pale skin that seems to be waiting for him.
He can see it in his blue eyes; the desire, the hurt, the longing to want it to happen; the longing of something, anything… He's waiting, he's standing there. But Lewis can't reach, because where Nico sees a memory illuminated by sunlight at sunset; ethereal and eternal; Lewis sees a ghost lurking in the darkness of the early morning.
Nico waits and waits and waits.
Lewis only turns around.
