okay, genuine inquiry for spandam enjoyers. i’m thinking of getting one of those custom 20cm plushies made of him for myself (im in deep, I know) and I’m curious if anyone else would end up wanting them??? sale price would end up being around 20 USD. right now only planning on getting one made, but if there’s genuinely interest, I can get more than one done.

I think Jorge Joestar the 600+ page spin-off novel sure is. a thing that exists. If there is anything of substance to take from this book, it is a lesson in what not to do in character writing. For just one chapter alone- Chapter FIVE: The Box.

This one section's nightmarish handling of Erina and Dio's characters, their relationships with Jonathan, and how they handled his death should be heralded as a prime example of butchered character writing. it can be summed up perfectly in one hypothetical:

Which character would, if given the chance, keep Jonathan's severed head in a fancy jar in their basement?

Dio would ABSOLUTELY be the one to keep Jonathan's severed head in a fancy jar. That's not a stretch. Hell, it wouldn't be in a dusty basement, that shit would be on a pedestal. He'd sit in the dark and talk to it, because he already does that with the rest of him. We already see him talking to "Jonathan" while staring at and feelin up his body in the mirror during part 3. This is not new shit.

Erina would NOT keep Jonathan's severed head in a jar in her basement. The thought would never even cross her mind because shes a sane human being. She finds the strength to move on with her life and be there to raise their son and Joseph. Despite the tragedies she's faced, she will heal from it and keeping moving forward. She is strong, she is kind, she has healthy relationships and is the glue keeping the Joestar family together. She loves Jonathan enough to let him go, because that is what he would have wanted.

Thinking about all the direct parallels drawn between Giorno and Diavolo in PHF again.

Everyone in Passione thinking Giorno was just the boss the whole time, that the intense secrecy was because he was young. That nothing has changed enough to even know theres a new boss at all. Giorno gaining power in the same way Diavolo supposedly did. Giorno going after every last loose thread-- Fugo being given the choice to either prove his loyalty or get a bullet between the eyes right then in that stadium. The way the SPW foundation explicitly doesn't trust Giorno either.

My Little Pirates, part 2 // (( part 1 ))

We started with the monster trio, so now introducing the navigator Citrine Compass, Tall Tale the sharpshooter, and the doctor Tony Tony Chopper Citrine Compass (aka Nami) is an incredible navigator, with a special talent in cartography. Her skills for predicting the weather are downright uncanny, a rarity even among pegasi. She's light on her hooves, quick as a flash, and is going to steal your wallet as we speak. Tall Tale (aka Usopp) the earth pony sharpshooter and master storyteller. His mark is meant to represent the more magical aspect of this skill, as his stories are so good, sometimes they just seem to come true! In reality, he does truly have a form of instinctual future sight, and one that manifests in this odd way. (think... pinkie sense.) His heritage lets him get in tune with nature much easier, and lets his skills as a sniper overlap perfectly with his skills as as a botanist. Chopper the reindeer is an odd case indeed. A young member of one of the rarer species found in the world, Chopper is an unfortunate case of a reindeer that never developed magic. Unable to levitate and fly like the rest of his herd, he was simply left behind-- but was fortunately rescued by a kindly doctor. His magic never developed, but he makes the most of it regardless. He's an incredible doctor, and his work in scientific fields across the board has been exceptional. He may paint on a cutiemark to feel more like his friends, but these days, Chopper is more than proud of who he is, and the reindeer he's become.

(Note: I had no idea reindeer existed in mlp! apparently there's a holiday special. The more you know.)

My Little... Pirates? ((Aka I succumb to making a One Piece MLP AU))

It always starts as a style experiment or practice drawing something new of some sort but tbh there is a darkness within me that is steadily brewing anyways HEY Y'ALL WANT. HEADCANONS? (this took me weeks to finally finish and post)

Introducing the pirate captain Monkey Do, first mate Zephyr Roar , and the fighting-cook Blackhoof Sanji (aka Devil Dancer) Coming up with names is Hard. Let's talk about these fools a little bit, with lots of headcanon to spare. Monkey Do ( aka Monkey D. Luffy) is our earth pony protagonist, and is largely unchanged. His cutiemark is a top down view of his iconic straw hat (or... is it? Some might say it looks a bit like a sun...) and his special talent is leadership. Earthponies are known for many things, and Luffy encompasses those qualities wholly-- he's loyal and strong, and has an endless appetite. an appettite that still contains a frankly concerning amount of meat. This little pony is not a harbivore. Zephyr Roar (aka Roronoa Zoro, or just 'Zoro' as Monkey Do calls him) is a pegasus who's special talent is the self invented three-sword-style. Yes he holds the other two with his wings. No he does not fly. Zoro's a real special guy like that. He largerly perfers to face his enemies on the ground, turning that pegasi speed into pure power. He's mean, he's green, and he thinks dust baths constitute as real bathing. Blackhoof, aka Devil Dancer (Sanji) is a unicorn who's special talent is cooking. His magic gives him a serious wallop in battle, and the old fashioned metal shoes let his superheated kicks pack even more of a punch. His natural magic is fire, and his time on Momoiro helped him learn real levitation, two traits that are just as powerful in the kitchen as they are on the battlefield. For all the stereotypes about unicorns that he breaks, Dancer enforces just as many-- he's prissy, wears fancy clothes, and he even shaves the fluffy fetlocks on his front legs to avoid contaimination while cooking. He's also got a taste for sweet things-- if the lollipop stick in his mouth was any indication. (if he still sounds like the godawful 4kids dub is for you to decide)

That's all I've got to say about these guys for now, and I hope you enjoy--I watched mlp as a kid and now that it's making it's resurgence I feel like I have a weird amount of thoughts about it.
