i don’t think tim originally planned to be robin but he definitely wanted to be. he explicitly says he fantasized about being robin in his origin, but it’s — hmmm. i do not think he made his plan with any intents of being robin. he did not plan to be robin, his plan wasn’t to make himself robin, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t want to be robin. saying he didn’t want to be robin is just plain wrong, but people forget you can want something without acting on said want. when the opportunity arose where he couldn’t keep himself separate from it all, he took the opportunity, but don’t forget he spent most of alpod avoiding telling them his name. he fully and entirely planned for this to be a one-time interference to set things right, and stuck to that best he could. while his want to be robin may have been what aided him to put on the suit for the very first time in his origin, his strong sense of duty was the motivating and driving force
