On my 3rd rewatch of FO during my long flight i notice sth: MI1 & FO use the same line of opening, but the roles are somewhat subverted

- In MI1, Claire asking Ethan “Did we get it?” followed by Ethan “We got it.” Her pose was placed somewhat identical to her last moment in the film. Of all the people in his team, Claire and Jim were the two ppl he trusted the most.

- In MI:FO, Ethan is the one asking instead, and Luther answered him. Later, Benji returns to ask Ethan the question, prompting Ethan to answer with a small smile, and Benji proudly says “Told you we’d get it :)” It’s crystal clear how much Ethan trust Luther and Benji, enough to have them in pretty much every major missions

This is less a Benthan-rambling and more of a thought, on how Ethan’s emotional wound from the first film has almost healed by letting new people into his life, and his heart. I love MI yall😭✨❤️

Need more assertive Benji. Need to see him with some more confidence. He's always a little silly and a little rambly but after everything he's gone through by the time of Dead Reckoning he feels more like a serious field agent if that makes sense. In every Benthan fic it's Ethan who surprises him by being into him and it's always gotta be this huge self deprecating thing and I think that makes sense for Benji at certain points in his development but I think at a certain point, especially where the M:I series is right now, he's almost died so many times, Ethan's almost died (and has died) so many times, it's just them against the world right now, the world might end also per usual- I just want to read one fic where Benji is the one to go "fuck it" about the whole thing and surprise Ethan is that so much to ask??

Meaning: Benji isn’t just angry. He’s livid. “Benji,” he begs. “Please.”

my go-to flavor of benthan is to portray Ethan as extremely tired and reticent; he's a vintage car engine that was forced to keep running because a/people expect him to keep running and working and being responsible and b/he expects himself to be responsible for pretty much everything he can care for. he's both macho and a princess. he's a self-sufficient tool of the narrative. he's larger than life. he's constantly beaten up. he's cursed with competency. he has one (1) rebellious phase and it fucked him up so bad it made him the way he is today. he acts like he's not 5'7. meanwhile Benji is the one bearing the amount of emotional clarity enough to power a team of 5 equally, disastrously, emotionally-constipated people. people thought he was polite and somewhat sane but in fact the most cracked of the two. he's the largest Ethan's simp. he's constantly nervous. he's a great liar. he is somehow more of a mystery than Ethan. he's a key and a magnet to pretty much every single emotionally-constipated person he's unlucky enough to come across. he has either a 0 Luck or a 10 Luck moment and there's no in-between

Google Lens:

More specifically, the "Search by Image" option that replaced the reverse image search functionality of Google Images in 2022. Although it focuses on image segmentation and recognition, it has the most encompassing image set by far. It will rarely point you towards the source directly, but you can use it to find different or more complete samples, which is a good way to start.

Yandex Images:

Its "Visual Search" functionality resembles the older Google reverse image search, which can be better in some situations. It lists pages that contain fairly similar matches and a board of looser samples.

TinEye:

Although smaller and less-capable than other options, it stores the date and address it found each result, which really helps narrowing down potential sources. It works best with unedited or nearly complete samples.

Above are general-purpose tools that are suited for images of any subject matter. Following are sites with narrower scopes, mainly focused on artworks or anime-adjacent media.

SauceNAO:

If you have an unedited image, this is the tool for the job. Though weak against crops and edits, it indexes heaps of works from artist-focused communities, social media platforms, and image boards.

trace.moe:

In the "rare" occasion that I stumble upon a screenshot of an anime I don't recognize, this tool is a lifesaver. It is "comparatively" much smaller than the others, but it can give you the exact moment you're looking for, down to the minute.

For now, these are the stars in my toolkit! There are other notable tools out there, but these are the ones I have the most success with.

Something I made while dealing with my own stuff and hoping drawing this would pick me up somehow. Maybe it worked.

So, I fled war and I had this post with my PayPal info coz I didn't have income apart from (not very big) humanitarian help and struggled trying to find a job. Now it's just charities post.
