ok i need your help to prove my sexist dad wrong
it started all because my older sister is a high school teacher and at her school a bunch of grade 12 boys were essentially harassing her, being rude, throwing things at her (etc. you get it) and there were no other teachers around to intervene. afterwards when other teachers found out obviously the boys had to apologise to my sister and said they only did it because she was a young female teacher on her own so they took advantage of the opportunity thinking it would be “funny”
essentially sexual harassment in the workplace ok
and my sister was telling the family at dinner - and mind you she was in tears, a fully grown woman in tears - and all my dad had to say was that she was over-reacting and that “boys will be boys”.
no.
these were final year of high school males who are almost (if they aren’t already) legal adults according to the Australian government, and only months away from entering the workforce and society outside of high school. they are not “boys” and if they don’t understand now that it is NOT ok to take advantage (whether sexually or not) of a young, alone female, then it is a concept they are likely to never understand.
i have tried countless times to explain this to my dad but he remains persistent that its not a big deal, and that boys will just think like that.
there’s a bigger issue here than what happened to my sister. its an issue of gender equality and perceptions of gender. its an issue of education, the fact that these teenagers thought that harassing a female teacher is “ok”. its an issue that my dad can’t comprehend that this is an example of gender inequality, and its an issue that he isn’t the only one that think these issues don’t matter.

this is a pretty big issue for me actually.
and not just because it’s really amazing to see what other muses
say, think and feel about your muse when they’re not around but
because I WANT SOME CONTINUITY. i am trying to create a
continuity for my character where everything that isn’t an AU
has feelings and actions making sense depending on a timeline
and people they know and love. actions have consequences.
relationships and events change people.
roleplay without that is… well, repetitive… & not very fulfilling to me.

Hiatus notice for Napstabot
I’m just not having any fun writing my characters right now, plus I’m too thrice damned nervous to reach out and find new partners. So, I’m going to take a step back for a month or so, and just, get back the fun of it. I might be back, if when I feel ready, Undertale is still as popular as it is now.
@shyghostnapsta I promised you an installment in the mini’s escapades, and you will get it, likely tomorrow. I might end up posting it from @agirlwithtoomanyfandoms though. I’ll still tag you though
