I'll never get the pearl clutching over prey drives. I'd go as far to say that humans themselves probably have that drive somewhere since humans are meat-eating animals and have spent most of their existence as hunters- they've just been so conditioned to their protein being served in the form of McDonalds burger, far removed from the reality of a cute animal being slaughtered and processed by some underpaid migrant workers in Texas or whatever (and they should definitely be more concerned with the human and animal rights issues irt factory farming than with my drive to chase squirrels I wouldn't realistically catch anyway)

You know, I think it's ok if you have predatory urges toward small animals that make you uncomfortable because you know you'd never actually want to kill or eat them since they're so innocent. I also think it's ok if you really, really do want to and the only thing stopping you is knowing you wouldn't be able to pull it off and would get sick even if you did. We're carnivorous animals, we shouldn't have to affect human-faced sensibilities about how fluffy and cute a baby bunny is and how grossed out we are by our "immoral intrusive thoughts" or want OCD therapy for them. I have real intrusive thoughts, and my prey drive isn't one of them. Hunting other animals is fully natural for a lot of creatures that aren't human and it does not keep them up at night in their dens. It's ok if you're a wolf who genuinely wants to eat a deer and aren't really hung up on the wolf ethics of it, I'd hazard saying that's actually quite normal, for wolves

Gender dysphoria and species dysphoria are linked experiences for me (as are the strong distraught feelings of being in the in wrong biome or time period), I always roll my eyes when terminally online edgelords say that therians are making trans people look like jokes by claiming species dysphoria. Sometimes experiences are strange and atypical but they're no less real.

Really sucks how the majority of the posts in alterhuman tags are just positivity/validation posts and mood/stimboards.

I saw a Neanderthal therian on here once. Never seen one before that. It's just really cool how broad alterhuman experiences can be.

I think we need to normalize using "people" as a species neutral word.
Like idk in my brain the word people just doesn't automatically = human. To me it's just a way to signify intelligence and individuality, and to emphasize the need for respect towards another creature, not specific to any one species.
Dogs can be people, mice can be people, dragons can be people, humans can be people, birds can be people, elves can be people, robots can be people, and so on.
It's also (in my opinion) just much easier than always saying "beings" or "individuals" when referring to varying assortments of creatures.
