For many, Thanksgiving is the time to reconnect with family, dress nicely to sit on the couch, eat, laugh, listen to stories whilst wondering if they are true, and answer a lot of uncomfortable questions. For others is another reminder of hard truths, loneliness, not knowing your next move, homelessness, inequality, lack of essentials, and history... our ancestors, and land. Tuve la oportunidad de trabajar con @outnorthak Y @loud_as_hell en su campamento Latinx. El último proyecto era crear un dibujo sobre su cultura. El fantástico Rio y Out North recopilaron los dibujos y crearon este libro de colorear. Esta pandemia ha Sido difícil, no he viajado a casa, visto amigos y familia entre muchas cosas, pero ha tenido su lado bueno. Pude trabajar con una de mis personas favoritas y conocer estos jóvenes maravillosos y sus familias. ¡Gracias!❤️ I had the opportunity to work with @outnorthak and @loud_as_hell on their Latinx Camp. The last project was to create a drawing that would reflect your culture. The Amazing Rio and Out North took all the entries and and made a coloring book! COVID hit hard in many ways, I haven't been home, seen friends and family, and many other things. In July we celebrate watercolors and like it was meant to be I met Zoelie (@zoils.pr) and have been learning how to make pigment from soil and how to make watercolors from that pigment. It is time consuming but I'm in LOVE with this and all the possibilities. I'm sharing some pictures of the process.
