I had the absolute HONOR of collaborating with @askingforthesun on their incredible Into The Eyes Of Fire series. If you've ever wanted to feel your brain melt out of your head (in a good way) please give it a read. I got to draw the loveliest scene from Chapter 4!

The first touch was like a lightning bolt to his soul. Warm fingertips settled on his sternum, brushing soft patterns into his skin, and he heard Dew exhale shakily, a disbelieving, fragile little sound. A moment later another touch brushed against his side, and his fists curled up even tighter as he fought not to flinch away. He wanted this, he repeated to himself over and over, he’d wanted this for so long, he couldn’t run now just because he’d spent so long training himself in the habit of self-hatred. Dew groaned quietly as the heat of his hands skated over Aether’s skin, pressing in a little firmer at his hips, and Aether heard himself answer the sound with one of his own, soft and uncertain. Dew’s grip tightened at the sound of it, long elegant fingers digging into the softness of Aether’s hips so sharply it startled Aether’s eyes open. And, now they were open, he didn’t think he had it in him to close them again.

most devastatingly precious though, is the two little braids his long hair is twisted into, split down the middle and laying on his chest, tied with mismatched colored elastics. mountain can’t help but pick one up and brush his thumb over a plait, “cute...” dew rolls his eyes but doesn’t hide his smile, “i figured i have the whole get up so, fuck it, why not go all the way?”
