If only...
It was minutes until midnight, and almost every child on Wammy’s House was already asleep. Almost.
It wasn’t a new thing for the second child to stay awake until late, wandering around the orphanage. But that night, there was something in particular that kept him uneasy.
-Long night, succesor?- A female voice called him from upstairs. It was K.
-Shouldn’t you be asleep?
-Haha, you’re funny. What’s with that face?
B wouldn’t tell her. They didn’t know eachother so much as for speaking about…
-It’s A, isn’t it?
B looked at her with his eyes wide open.
-How…?
-Oh, you’re so easy to read, B. It’s obvious. A is smart, but he’s… Soft. He can’t handle the possition he was assinged. It’s just a matter of time until…
-Don’t dare to say it!
K smiled. She didn’t know A was about to die, she didn’t have the eyes as B had. She couldn’t know further her suspicion… But B’s reaction told her everything. Something would happen to A, and B knew it.
She started walking down the stairs, without keeping her eyes apart from B’s.
-What I don’t understand… Is why that makes you so upset… He’s your rival, once he’s gone, you will be the first one on the line to succeed L.
-You don’t know anything about me and A.
-Oh? Then you like him.
B didn’t know how to react, and K noticed it.
-I know, I know… It’s so unfair when we can’t protect those we love… If only… If only we could control death…

Looking for a manga script writer
Currently looking for a script writer for a Death Note fanmade manga series, based on Wammy's House children.
The characters will be the already very known Mello, Near, Matt and Linda, incluiding the kids from Wammy's first generation: A, B, C, Q, X, Y and Z.
The stories must be about the children's experience on Wammy's. It can include a bit of detective-ish mysterious trama (for example, they are assigned a case and are evaluated based on how they solve it). It can also contain shippings (personally favorites are MelloxNear and BBxA, but have no problem with other ships).

13 Reasons Why - High school Wammy's kids AU
After Alex's (A's) suicide, a bunch of mysterious tapes start circulating among some students of Wammy's High School, one of the most prestigious in the world. These narrate the 13 reasons why A took this decision.
Tape 1: Anne Quimby (Q) - For gazing Alex and Beyond kissing in the park and starting a rumour of them actually having sex in the middle of the park.
Tape 2: Yvan Park (Y) - For circulating a list of "Wammy's top losers." Where Alex figured as "biggest faggot", and Zulema Gomez (Alex's friend at the moment) as "worst ass".
Tape 3: Zulema Gomez (Z) - For believing the rumors of Alex turning Yvan against her to write down her name on the named list.
Tape 4: Charlotte Castle (C) - For stalking Alex outside his window and taking pictures of him.
Tape 5: Nate River - He offers himself to help Alex to catch his stalker, but things get horribly wrong when he has the idea of "captivating them (the stalker)" by kissing. This only agravates the rumors of Alex being a gay slut, and turns out Nate was actually gay too. Alex feels used.
Tape 6: Xavier Lang (X) - Invites Alex to a blind date pretending to be a girl. Alex accepts wanting to clean up his repitation. Xavier humiliates him in public.
Tape 7: Tierry Morrello (Teen! Aiber) - As an iniciative for Valentine's Day, teachers have the idea of making students write "compliment letters" for their classmates. Alex's box is always empity, except once a week, when some cute doodles and sweet poems are sent to him. One day, these stop appearing. Alex discovers this is because Tierry had been stealing them from his box.
Tape 8: Mail Jeevas - He publishes on the school newspaper a very personal poem Alex had written.
Tape 9: Anne Quimby (Q) ((again))- At a party organized on Zulema's place, Anne and Zulema (who are very close friends to eachother) get drunk together and go to Zulema's room. There, Anne leaves Zulema alone, unconcious and drunk on her bed, with the door open, letting someone sneak inside and have unconcensual sex with her. Alex watches all the scene from the closet where he's hidden, and shocked, feels guilty by not being able to help his friend.
Tape 10: Merrie Kenwood (teen! Wedy) - After seeing his friend being raped, Alex wants to get the hell out of the party. Merrie offers herself to take him to his home. On the way, she gets distracted while driving and knocks down a STOP sign, event that later leads to some other friend's death.
Tape 11: Beyond Birthday - Just to explain him an argument they had at that party. Being Alex's love interest from the beggining, they have several enclousures during the year. At the named party, they both get drunk and make out, but later they discuss as Alex is affraid of the rumours towars them.
Tape 12: Mihael Keehl. - He catches Alex at a dark spot in the city, laughs at him for "being a faggot", hits him and rapes him with a baseball bat.
Tape 13: Roger - For taking Alex's problems too lightly once he asks for help, also victim-blaming him for his bad reputation.

Entry 1

I remember that, back then, I didn’t understand why she gave me that estranged look in response to my words. There I was, at the tender age of five years old, humming a happy tune while working on a drawing of my family, when she leaned over me to plant a kiss on my hair and admire my masterpiece.
“That’s so nice, darling!” She said, rather reflexively, then halted a moment as her eyes were slowly overtaken by confusion. “But… what are these red scribbles over our heads?”
“Those are our names! See?” I chirped back, pointing at the two big figures and the smaller one in the middle. “Mommy’s name, Daddy’s name, and mine.”
“Yes, I see that, but… what are those numbers, honey?”
“Mommy’s and Daddy’s numbers.” I answered matter-of-factly, not quite getting why she was so interested in them, but assuming she was just pretending interest like most grownups do around kids. “Mommy’s numbers today are 920458.”
“Oh… and Daddy’s are… 592203?” Back then I couldn’t have told, but now that I remember, there were clear signs of concern beneath that veil of curiosity. “What about you, Ben? What are your numbers today?”
“What are you talking about?” I dropped my crayon to look up at her. “I don’t have numbers. Just my name.”
That evening, while I failed to fall asleep, I heard my parents arguing through the walls. They didn’t know I had learned to pick up English -his mother tongue-, so they used that language when they didn’t want me to hear something. The next morning a strange lady in white clothes came to the house and asked me a lot of questions.
The man that I called my father seemed shaken to the core for some reason, and my mother had digged out her old Occultism books.
The strange lady kept coming. Sometimes that man would drive me to her office; she worked at some kind of hospital. Sometimes she would give him pieces of paper, and he would take them to the pharmacy and come back with pills he would make me take. I hated them, ‘cause they made me feel weird.
As for my mother… I don’t think she ever stopped loving me, but I know for sure she never smiled at me the same way after that, as if she were carrying the burden of a horrible, not-so-forgotten secret.
Slowly, I came to realize I was the only one who could see people’s names and numbers written around their faces.
