There was a 7 star raid for Water–Tera Type Hisuian Samurott in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet this weekend.
Read: Hisuian Samurott Is Coming to 7-Star TeraR Raid Battles | Pokemon.com
It was a Water type Tera-raid, and I assumed Samurott also was a water type so Grass type or Electric type Pokemon would suffice, but... how many attacks can Samurott remember? Samurott definitely has one attack at least which is super effective against any Pokemon that might potentially show up before it.
As far as I could remember, Samurott remembered:
Bulldoze (Ground type)
It was super effective against Miraidon (Electric-Dragon).
X-Scissors (Bug type)
It was super effective against Meowsacada (Grass-Dark),
And Leavanny (Bug-Grass type)
Sacred Sword (Fighting type)
It was super effective against Arboliva (Grass-Normal type).
Ceaseless Edge (Dark type)
It was super effective against Trevenant (Ghost-Grass type).
Razor Shell (Water type)
Focus Energy (Normal type, but non-damaging)
...
I feel like there were more but I could not catch them.
Victreebel did not get any attack straight in super effectively I think, but the defence was generally weak and it fainted quickly.
New trailer for the SMRPG remake dropped, but for some reason, it was Japan-exclusive. (I guess Nintendo of America cared more about shilling for Mario Kart)
This is impossible for me to look at.... (I have my eyes half closed to type this but I need to share this gif on my page just in case I severely lack Geno and am in urgent need of seeing him occasionally).
hi smrpg community, how we feeling about his little shimmy
(inspired by @ nintendonut1's tags about mallow and geno's dances, had to make this a reality asap)
I like doing surprise trade, so I do a whole bunch every now and then on Pokemon Violet.
I especially like giving out
Pokemon Violet exclusive Pokemon like Bagon, Flapple, Dreepy
Gastly/Haunter, Cyther for the purpose of evolving.
So I send these out when I have them, or something I feel like sending out.
Apparently this one is Violet exclusive too, hope it was delivered to someone who is on Pokemon Scarlet.
And so far, I have received about 5 of infamous hacked Pokemon in return.
When I first saw the receipt of a Pokemon with a strange name, I looked up on Google what it was and some Reddit page I think was full of comments like "now your machines are hacked, your entire game data will be deleted. You have to plug off your machine, change your network password, HDMI cable, router, throw away your SWITCH".... which almost made me panic.
But then thought, wait a second, even malware and computer virus would not go in that far... HDMI cable? What?
And I continued to read through and learnt that so long as I do not use those Pokemon in public battles or competitions, my devices will not crash or I will not get sanction from Nintendo, but if you use them in public places, you might be considered cheating and might get a punishment - is the maximum you might get, apparently.
I release all these Pokemon just in case after taking a screenshot, so I do not possess them anymore but just to share with you what they look like.
I thought the starters do not have a shiny version? Maybe there are. This Fuecoco seems to be a shiny one. I cannot tell though...
Anyhow, apparently receiving a hacked or modified Pokemon will not destroy your devices or delete all your game files that they say. Good to know!?
I feel like a horrible, immoral business person doing this mass breedingbut I really wanted a Cyndaquil after discovering that Typhlosion the Unrivaled can breed the normal Cyndaquil in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which we do not find in a normal gameplay.
Yesterday I caught a Typhlosion the Unrivaled in a 7 star tera raid.
You can catch only one of them during this event, and at the time of catching it, it is already level 100, so there are not much can be done to the Typhlosion.
But following the event, I put it in a picnic for the purpose of other Pokemon breed some eggs, then... One of them was a Cyndaquil!!
Which means you... Typhlosion the Unrivaled bred an egg to the original Cyndaquil? (I thought Typhlosion the Unrivaled was a Paradox Pokemon because it looks like it, the vivid colour).
I caught a few "Amazing stats" Dittos so I let them and Typhlosion stay for a while then they all fell asleep immediately. Especially Typhlosion. It was asleep the entire time.
It was asleep the entire time so I confirmed there was no time to take any reproductive action. But then...
What!? There were eggs in the basket.
卵が7個ぐらい入っていた!
Which means now I must detect... that Pokemon breeding does not occur through some active actions but rather it requires only some distant action to be taken... like, Ditto can breed an egg by smelling the body odor of another Pokemon or possibly even only looking at them. I do not know, I have not incubated the eggs so they could all be eggs of Ditto and not Cyndaquil, then that makes sense because some of the Dittos were awake during the picnic.
When I have time after submitting the university assignment today or tomorrow, I hope to walk the eggs 1,000km and hatch them to see if Typhlosion was doing something, or maybe better to say, Ditto was doing something in the picnic.
Super Mario RPG gameplay┆道場をかけたジャッキー戦からマリオLevel30へ
Why does it feel like I only played 10 minutes of Super Mario RPG when what I actually did was play it for 1,000 years?
So now, my Mario is level 30, Mallow 28, and follows. I still have a lot of mini games to do but I am proceeding along the storyline quite smoothly at this moment (although I missed the invincible star I could have had by accident... absolutely regretful...).
This is the exact scene from the opening of the game!
Wait... what?
What is Mario holding onto?
????????
(Loved it)
And... I was so nervous to face Jakie the third time but the outcome was...
Unexpected!
Anyway, again it is a video of 1,000 years length, but hope you will enjoy the gameplay with me!
I will have to make sure to pre-order Super Mario RPG remake today... Can I do that on Switch?
Recently, I have discovered the "egg breeding" and "egg hatching" feature on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Then I learnt that I need to have similar looking Pokemon, or a Ditto in a pinic together and sit there and wait for minutes, Pokemon may or may not lay eggs there then.
It made me curious and I had one Ditto (although not of good stats), so I hosted a few picnics with some Pokemon.
This time I expected eggs of Clefairy, Gengar, Milotic and Magcargo to be laid. I had the evolved versions of them (apart from Gengar), but not the initial Pokemon like Feebas so I was curious if I could get them (so I added a Ditto here).
Then this time was with a Quaquaval, Snorlax, Charizard, Azumarill and my absolute favourite, the reliable Ribombee. It certainly turned into a scene from Pokemon Sleep! At one point, Snorlax was the only one running around whilst every other Pokemon was fast asleep. Snorlax must certainly emit some sleep powder unconsciously.
I definitely have the cutest Snorlax existing.
Once you gather the Pokemon in a picnic, make any kind of egg power raising sandwich. If it raises the egg power by 2, the Pokemon would breed eggs quicker, if it is only one level up, they still breed eggs but not as frequently.
They are usually simple recipes unlike Sparkling Power sandwiches so I was relieved making them.
Once you eat the sandwich, just wait.
Massively active Gengar.
Wait... The cutest Snorlax.
Wait... my favourite Ribombee. "Bug and Fairy type" combination. Absolutely monstrous in this little baby look.
Every now and then, have a peek inside the basket not the one on the table but sitting beside the table.
Some Pokemon drops berries and some breed eggs there. I looked up on Google and some wrote that the basket can store up to 10 eggs, so you can take out the eggs every so often.
(Yes, it seems like I did this experiment als with Golem and Mismagius).
Once you pick up the eggs, they go into the Box. Place the eggs in your team and walk or run on Miraidon/Koraidon for 1,000 steps - then eggs will hatch automatically.
That is the mother/father Ditto on the top left and everything else is the hatched Pokemon here (not the Gengar).
The egg will stop you whenever it wants to hatch.
I do not know the difference of the graphics... Sometimes they do that fancy background, sometimes they hatch just on the grond surface.
I think I got most of the unevolved version of the Pokemon by doing this. I could not get a Munchlax nor Geodude, and I hatched too many Azurill and Gastly but I got some good hatches.
Apparently by having a high quality Ditto from a Tera Raid, you can breed Pokemon with great stats so I am hoping to encounter Ditto in a Tera Raid somewhere but they are so rare...
Anyway, egg hatching does not require much technical skills, and it is fun if you still have empty space remaining in your boxes. I recently received a Skeledirge through a surprise trade so I might as well try breeding their eggs too.
I have been studying Pokemon types and the compatibility between them through Tera Raids on Pokemon Violet recently.
I am finally getting used to it but it basically changes the Attack type and Defence type so a little tricky and requires some brain power to pick the right counter.
This is the effectiveness/weakness chart I am creating, and for example:
If this was your opponent, what would you use against it?
Attack type: Water, Flying and Dark
Defence: Rock
Grass is strong against Rock so I might as well use Meowscarada...
Then no, Gyarados might use a Dark type attack which is super effective against Meowsarada.
Then... Fighting is strong against Rock, and Fighting-Electric Iron Hands should receive no damage by Water, Flying or Dark attack so, Iron Hands then?
No wonder why absolutely everybody uses Iron Hands for Tera Raids.
Iron Hands uses the amazing "Drain Punch" by which they recover their HP by a lot while giving tremendous damage to the opponent. It is certainly a very useful Fighting type.
Gyarados did not give me a Herba Mystica...
(I catch all of the Tera Raid bosses)
It is a good brain exercise.
Pokemon wants us to walk outside, Pokemon wants us to get sleep, now Pokemon wants us to think... We are totally driven by Pokemon games to optimise our human abilities.
Last weekend, we had a Clefairy outbreak event on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. I watched a TikTok video which taught how to increase the probability of finding shiny Pokemon so I followed the guidance.
Honestly, there is no way any existence can be this cute.
As soon as they see me, they would surround me fearlessly. What if I am a bad person giving you a poisonous candy? I would never want to see my adorable Clefairies to suffer.
If I walk away one step, the leader would follow me, other ones in the back want to walk away but they would come along anyway.
If this is an apocalypse I would be greatful with it.
Even on a snowy moutain, they remain fearless.
The outbreaks spanned across several areas in Paldea, therefore, I tried the sandwich recipe that will increase the sparkling power but I am not sure how effective it was, at least I did not end up finding any in the places I have been.
At least I caught about 15 clefairies. If you want to trade, I will have them for a while at least.
On the way to make sandwiches, I had to tera raids several times, and I caught a Snorlax!
Me (in bed, speaking to my Snorlax plush): Snorlax, you will stay with me the rest of my life right?
Snorlax (me making the sound): *snorlax noise*
I often squeeze Snorlax (plush) from everywhere and imagine him saying "Do not knead my face...". That is the scene from my lifestyle everyday.
Anyway, the sandwich effect did not do me justice, but at least I captured some cutest video of clefairy during this event so I am sharing this here.
youtube
I am certain after that weekend, the sale of clefairy plush has spiked up exponentially.
Initially when I first thought about live streaming gamepla, I thought about TWITCH.
I basically only knew that platform so thought I might as well try it out. Then I did a little bit of research and realised it seems to be a wee bit complicated to manage TWITCH while also operating videos on YouTube.
Then, I was invited to live stream on this platform called 17 LIVE.
Previously wrote about it here: Gaming Milkitty : 17 Live (tumblr.com)
My Channel: gamingmilkittyのプロファイルと最新情報をチェックしましょう - 17LIVEライブ配信
It is a mobile device based app so it is not made in 16:9 orientation.
But I definitely prefer to broadcast in 16:9 landscape.
I recently broadcast Super Mario RPG gameplay in landscape orientation on 17 live and later uploaded the video on YouTube though, it does not seem so fit on 17 Live. Hope it is ok.
(Below image is me checking whether the live screen is looking ok).
For now or for some time, I might as well live stream on 17 Live and upload the video on YouTube later on.
What platform is optimised for live streaming gameplay in a landscape orientation, apart from YouTube live?
This is a massive selfie... coming out from my iPhone.
This is the "Gaming" instant food series from a famous instant noodle brand in Japan.
I got both of them as they caught my eyes in a supermarket.
It has been a couple of days since I placed one of them on my gaming desk and I am debating whether to eat it... while I film myself eat for YouTube or live stream. Is anyone interested in seeing anything like that? I must excuse myself first that I am not really a good reporter of flavours and such.
The latter (photo below) contains garlic or garlic flavour so I have been hesitating to eat it on a day before meeting someone. It has to be done sometime when I completely isolate myself for a week straight.
I found this page and I was shocked that I actually encountered 14 shinies. I only own about 7 so I hope they were other trainers’… is it possible that I did not notice and did not catch them….? Or was it done by let’s go?
I think the name KAWAKITTY comes from my boyfriend’s suggestion. Then I twisted it and named myself Milkitty later on for gaming in general. I do not know why it is in caps. Looks like I’m trying to advertise my name so much. I do not mean it.
Today I tried a “surprise trade” for the first time and sent one Iron Moth to someone who I wouldn’t know will receive it.
And I suppose then recipient was a Japanese person (as their name being Japanese), and I received a Pichu.
I have no idea what this feature is about but it is certainly entertaining. If I could get a Gastly I would be able to get a Gengar even. Or maybe I should just trade it with someone I know…
I have done about 10 tera raids today and got only two Herba Mystica. At least I have not gotten none. I am getting closer to getting sparkling power to get shiny Pokémon…! Fingers crossed.
It’s as expected, such a rare occasion that I can get the herbs. It thrills me when I see them dropped!
Anyway…
Matcha power!
This post has been in a draft folder for too long, I am posting it here now.
Honestly, this is the reason why I started live streaming gameplay rather than playing it on my own. It is simply more fun to do it with others (even though the viewers are only watching... I feel like I am not playing it alone).
It was the first, test stream but it was fun still. Connecting it to OBS and playing it on computer, much easier and much more comfortable to do it on computer. Hope I can continue to do it.
Thanks for the Pikachu art comments! I have been screen shotting many of these.
I will be posting edited videos on YouTube as usual, whilst live streaming every now and then also. Please hop by if you happen to find my stream!
I am not going to make any excuse, I used to play Gardenscapes excessive amount and I still do sometimes, and that's all I posted on YouTube for years.
youtube
My most popular Gardenscapes video has 41K views. It is understandable Gardenscapes triggers your adrenaline flow, even only by watching the gameplay videos. I still get that effect and I honestly do like watching my Gardenscapes videos, that is the reason I do not delete these ones.
However, I would like to say Gardenscapes will not be the main game I will be playing for YouTube from this point onward, sorry to all who looked forward to it.
In my honest opinion, when something becomes not fun - it should cease to be a hobby. Nobody should feel obliged to do something because it used to be fun. It feels like work if you feel forced to do something.
However, however again, when this mini game comes out, I am a complete addict.
They do it every few weeks and that's when I am brainlessly drawn into Gardenscapes again and organise these little icons endlessly.
I sometimes still record my gameplay, because I have this little trick that when I start filming the screen, Gardenscape (although inanimate) feels nervous and suddenly gives me a good combination of items, and I usually end the game successfully. It somewhat feels wasteful deleting these videos but I am not sure where to post since I have changed the theme of my YouTube channel.
If I collect many good ones, I might as well edit them all up and post it here on my blog sometime.
