hi i just want everyone to know that i will never ever EVER be angry with anyone for not replying to my texts even though you’re visibly online and reblogging/posting. i understand that holding a conversation takes a lot more energy and effort than scrolling and posting and that’s 100% okay. take care of yourself first. the whole idea that you HAVE to reply to someone when you’re online is toxic and makes mentally ill people feel as though they are bad friends just because they can’t always reply within minutes.

im not one to gatekeep anything but sometimes in my writing classes i begin to believe maybe you do need to be a little miserable or fucked up to be a good writer. i had to edit some guys personal essay that was supposed to be about overcoming struggle and he wrote about the stock market crash this year and how it effected his discord server

Accidentally annoying someone doesn't make you a horrible person and you don't have to spend your whole life censoring yourself to prevent it from ever happening.

Worldbuilders naming towns: I named this town Elygwe’meth which means “Where the Dearly Beloved King died next to his Lover” in the language I invented and also a combination of the Old English word for diamonds and the Maori word for apples since that’s their main exports

People in real life naming towns: I named this town Big Falls cause big fall there

I’ve been doing some random stuff lately.

I literally cant figure out when Touch Starved is supposed to take place and if there’s magic in it XD

That’s a great question, and I'm sorry ahead of time that this answer is going to be waaaay longer than what you probably want 😂

when I first started writing the fic, it was slightly inspired by the BBC show Merlin (especially with the scenes where Sirius is with his knights in the woods or training), so I guess I sort of pictured ancient camelot type vibe? Except then there was all of this medical stuff that happened, which kind of screwed up the time vibe because I dont know old medical practices (I dont even know modern medical practices hence the inaccuracy🙃) I picture this all somewhere that is not earth or earth as we know it, and it's supposed to be a long time ago when guns and electricity didnt exist, but I'll probably have modern terms and objects in it because heck it's just a fanfic.

As for the magic question, no there is not magic in it, at least not how we see magic in the harry potter world. I do picture there being a sort of herbal/ remedy magic, like there are potions and things, but honestly I don't see myself doing anything with magic and this fic in the future.
