āCI SARANNO I DRONIā (THERE WILL BE DRONESā) is a Para(noid)-Essay guided by non-linear logic and by intuition. Combining discarded material, 16mm film, low resolution footage, test graphics and interviews extracted from the heritage of AAMOD (Archivio Audiovisivo del Movimento Operaio e Democratico), CSID scrutinizes the complex processes of metamorphosis of power structures that took place in the second half of the 20th century in Italy. Segmented into three chapters, the Para-Essay draws a non-linear Para-History of declining institutions, defeated counterculture, deep state actors, omnipresent surveillance, neoliberal doctrine and violent privatisation of everything.
This visual exploration unfolds from dual perspectives: the metaphysical realm of the ever-present and ever evolving Powerās gaze and the individual and collective existential level.
Mixing low and high culture, CSID aims to tell a (Hi-)Story that plays with the language of conspiracy theories, noise and politics.
In this Hi-Story populated of invisible characters, every visible subject in the film becomes a symbol and, paradoxically, nothing happens: it already did or is just about to.

Animated Clips for independent Documentary about the art critic and curator Francesca Alinovi, murdered in 1983, through the memories of the New York avant-garde artists she worked with.
