Which of your siblings is least and most annoying?

“Ha! You know, I can’t- I can’t lie, it’s me, it’s definitely me. I’m so annoying. I know that doesn’t really answer the question, but it is. I can’t even blame Marie this time.” 

“Least? Is probably Ber. Only because he’s not around as much. Other then that, he’s just as bad. We’re all the worst.”

Any plans to hit up the new planet?

“Oh Hell, yeah! Like… That’s a planet! An actual planet we can live on. That’s where we’re supposed to be! Living here is cool, I guess, but it’s not there. Everything there is real. The sky, the ground.. I could climb a mountain! Or-or something! I don’t know, I just never thought… It doesn’t even seem real.”

What art style do you relate to the most?

“Surrealism. Sometimes, I too, have no idea what the fuck is going on.”

Jesus fucking Christ. For a moment Vitani debated leaving Toulouse behind - abandoned didn’t mean free and she was sure that at least three different murders had happened her. Not that she had (or wanted) proof but still, there were stories. Flexing her skeleton enhancement, she glanced around worriedly before striding up to the doorway and leaned against the wall, her eyes continuously scanning for passerby’s. 

“They don’t have ghosts in the first ring or something?” she asked before glancing up at her friend. Her tone wasn’t unkind, but it was clear that she thought this was a ridiculous idea.  “You gotta come out to the scary and dangerous end of the ship just to stir up some haunts?” 

As Toulouse kept snooping, he found a couple boards that moved effortlessly. He tossed them to the side and hoped it to be the beginnings of a great pile. “Wait, is this place seriously haunted?” That was definitely said with too much enthusiasm. “And you don’t want to check it out? Come on, ‘tani! Let’s go catch ourselves a ghost.” He found himself somewhere between serious and teasing. As much as he didn’t want to push things too far, this was something he absolutely wanted to check out.

Looking at the crowd of people in front of her, she glanced up at her companion and back out into the crowd. “There are certain moments where I consider you someone with brilliant ideas and a good future. This is not one of those moments.” Vitani wasn’t usually one to back down from a challenge but even to her this idea seemed to lean towards the insane side.

“But didn’t you just say it was abandoned?” Toulouse turned to to send a cheeky smile her way, but then promptly went back to ignoring her advice. He walked up to the front of the vacant building and began messing with the boarded doorway. ‘Abandoned’ had apparently been permission enough for the redhead, though he would be careless to assume that it meant it was safe.

JJ’s grin went devious, “Psh, am I ready?” He said, sarcastically, spreading his arms wide in the universal sign of ‘bring it.’ “I can take whatever you got.”

Toulouse laughed. “Yeah? I guess we’ll have to see about that. You’d be surprised how intense rich old people can get. ” All teasing aside, the boy decided he couldn’t wait any longer and bounced to the side of his friend’s bike. He drummed eagerly on the seat, hoping for Jack-Jack to catch the not-so-subtle hint. “So come on! Let’s gooo!”

“Pft hell no. You’re going to need a hell of a lot more than just meditation to make it out here.” She studying him a little more trying to pin point what he needed to work on the most. “Ok so your legs should be shoulder width apart to start, you can always adjust them later if you need to. And your dominant foot should be just in front of you. Like so.” She got into her own stance, legs apart and bent at the knees, ready to move in whatever way she needed. “Ok. Now try and hit me.”

Toulouse followed the instructions as she named them off. In the end, his stance was a little slack, but other than that, he was doing alright. “Okay,” he said, drawing it out a bit until he got comfortable. When he was ready, Toulouse threw a halfhearted punch her way.

Raleigh scoffed in mock offense. “Me? Of course I know how to fight! How do you think I’ve survived out here? And you’re going to have to know too if you plan on staying or returning to the outer ring regularly.” She shook her head. These first ring kids always thought they were invincible until they suddenly weren’t and they were bleeding in some back alley or on the side of the road. It was a damn shame none of them were actually prepared to be out here. Well, this one would be if Raleigh had anything to say about it. “Alright first thing you have to do is find your center of gravity and root yourself in it. Otherwise all it’s going to take to get you down is a stiff wind.” His clumsy footing was going to get him knocked down in no time. She gently pushed him to demonstrate.

It took a couple steps for Toulouse to catch his footing, “Gotcha. Center of gravity. I gotta find one of those.” He shook off his stumble and stood up straight once again, this time trying to be more aware of himself. “So, how do I do it? Isn’t that something you have to find with meditation?” Toulouse wasn’t entirely convinced he didn’t make that last one up.

Arthur stooped down with a smile and offered a hand to help the other person. “Careful there. The meteors left more than a few little craters and pot holes all over the station. Just going for a stroll has turned into a dangerous business.”

“I’m okay, thanks.” Though Toulouse denied the man’s help, the redhead definitely could’ve used it. He fumbled with his bicycle and tried to get it standing again, though it was hard thing to accomplish while he was still on the ground. He was never taking this damn bike out again. He hadn’t ridden it in a couple years, but after being denied car privileges, he thought a bike would be useful since the bus schedule was now a little wonky. He now wholeheartedly regrets that idea. 

The boy was embarrassed as it was, but now he was starting to get frustrated. The bike still wouldn’t stand, the scrape on his elbow was starting to sting, and though no damage had been done because of it, he almost wished he had worn a helmet. 

Is that your natural hair color? Be honest.

“It sure is. Trust me, I wouldn’t have the patience to dye it.”

What do you think your sexuality is, or are you keeping your mind open and undecided?

“Oh, wow, aha, I know I’m not straight? I don’t know why I said it like a question, I do know that. I guess I just don’t really talk about it a lot.”

What is home life like?

“It’s good. It’s not as bad as a lot of people have it, even in the First Ring. There are a lot of times when we all get along, but it’s just so.. I don’t know how to explain it. It’s really controlling. There’s just so many expectations and I’m not really considered most of the time. It’s just what my mom and my grandparents want.”

what do you love most about your siblings?

“What? Those dorks? Nah, that’s gross. I mean, I love them, but..”

“Alright, fine, you can know. They’re great. Marie is tough as Hell and Ber, even though I really piss him off about it, he really is talented. He works hard. I mess with them, yeah, but that’s because I like them. It’s just what you do… but… don’t tell them any of that.” 

what is the best way to eat eggs?

“Use them for pancakes.”

What do you sneak out into the outer ring for? Are you crazy?

“Yeeeah, I thought the same thing after I was stalked for the first time. And pick pocketed. And, I guess mugged too, but I actually feel like we came to more of an understanding there.”

I’m just lucky enough to have my Outer Ring mentor. And honestly, they probably saved my life. And I’m really glad too, because it’s not that bad of a  place. It’s awesome! I’ve met some of the realest people there.”
