The prisoner, lying broken and bloody on the floor, didn’t respond. He stared up at the interrogator, tears welling up in the eye that wasn’t swollen shut.
“You, on the other hand... you handed it all over to me," the interrogator continued.
The prisoner let out a miserable moan.
“It was the right decision,” the interrogator assured him. “Still, it’s a pity they died for nothing.”

Cale’s angst.
Cale having those moments, when he sits down, in silence. He keeps staring at the all, thinking of situations that might’ve been better if he acted a certain way.
He simply feels worthless as he remembers the damage his actions caused to a lot of his people, of his family.
He wonders if he can turn back time, find an ancient power, and return to when he endangered people, and fix his mistakes.
He feels his eyes tearing up, but he doesn’t allow himself to cry. He shouldn’t be crying when he was the reason of people getting hurt.
So yeah, Cale stays still, on his chair, looking lifeless as he slowly destroy his mind.
(I am running on 30 mins of sleep, and I’m in the middle of my finals, send help.)

Brainstorming pt.2
Young Cale getting kidnapped when he’s was 7 years old. Because he has the Thames blood. He was the first male born ( if the first born is a male, his blood holds some special shit.) in years, which meant that his blood was even more special, and so are his abilities.
His kidnappers were Arm.
He kept getting tortured for months, as they kept draining his blood. They tried stocking ancient powers in his body, and test his resistance.
The child almost broke one day, alone, and abused.
Until his kidnappers brought a golden haired man inside his cell… it’s Eruhaben.

Hear me out
Cale and family reincarnated in another world, but nobody remember anything, so they kept their individual lives until Cale started to hear his ancient powers.
The Henituse family would be so shocked and concerned watching the firstborn talking to the air like someone was actually having a conversation with him. This will escalate further and no one will believe the little redhead kid and his vivid imagination of a fantasy world, so Cale learned to shut up.
He ended up being committed to a psychiatric hospital anyway. A lonely place filled with mad people, not the best place for a child like him.
To add angst the doctors started to restrain the visits, alluding that after them he gets worse, so fam stopped coming gradually, but little Cale didn't know that, and thought they just got rid of him.
It will be years later when everyone started to remember, but it's too late. Cale is now an scared traumatized teenager. If anyone mentions something about their past life his body and mind would react negatively for all those years conditioning him to thought that those were just inventions, and he would be punished if he externalized those memories.
Just imagine the regret, anger and sorrow
