Just wanted to give an overdue introduction but I'm one of the new mods added and will go by Sci-mod. A little about me is that I'm a bi woman of color and frequently engage in the furry fandom through art and future fursuiting. Also I use her and she pronouns

Perverted Bastard that made me quit the fandom

TRIGGER WARNING FOR RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT MENTION I used to be a furry. I have no negative feelings about quitting the fandom, although I still love and enjoy the concepts of anthros. Hell, I still draw furries. But let me tell you one of the reasons I quit the fandom and either deleted my account or abandoned any furry website. Now, I had a friend who is a furry that I met through Inkbunny, he was a very interesting case, in a bad way. I'll just call him M. For starters, M joked about buying me a dildo on my birthday. I thought he was just joking, because I say perverted jokes with my best friends all the time. So I was able to ignore that. Little did I know that was a glowing red flag. However, when he found out I was in a relationship, he told me how happy he was, and didn't say anything creepy about it to me. The next few weeks, I got into a relationship. My girl has had a history of being sexually harassed and nearly got raped once. I told her that I was talking to M when she was asking me what I was doing. She wanted to meet him, so I allowed her to talk to him. At first, I thought it was going alright. But later on the next night, me and my girl were just chatting about random stuff, having a good time. Then my girlfriend brought up M. I found out that M joked about living in our household, setting up cameras in our house, and creeping on us. I was pissed. I removed M from my contacts, and told my best friends what just happened. The next day, M spammed the hell out of my Skype. Demanding forgiveness from me, acting all sad. But I wasn't having any of that, and blocked him. Haven't heard from them. People like this are why I avoid the fandom. I've had several perverts hit on me, and this was the breaking point. Making me uncomfortable is one thing, but doing that shit to my girlfriend, who has been harassed before is a big NO NO.

This was at a convention. Is that really necessary?

Creepy Furry Wants A Lady

A little while back when I first joined FA, I posted some pictures of my dog— We’ll call her Lady. Lady is a mid-content wolfdog and she’s just lovely all around. She’s really timid and oddly photogenic. Since she poses really nicely for pictures and stuff, I usually take a few and post them on FA or Imgur or here on tumblr. 

X asked if he could have one of her future pups and I said “I don’t know— I plan on keeping most, if not all of them” since I have ample space and funds to take care of them. He was quiet for a bit, and then sent me a wall of text. I don’t have screenshots, but I copied the paragraph into notepad and saved it in case I wanted to post this story (I actually wasn’t aware that my laptop had a print screen button. Oops.) I’ll paste it below.

That’s really fucking selfish. There are tons of people out there that want wolf hybrids, including ME. Just… Are you fucking kidding me? Do you know how long I’ve been tring to get a wolf hybrid, much less a HUSKY?! A LONG FUCKING TIME. My mom won’t buy me a husky, my dad won’t buy me a husky, and my stupid aunt won’t let me have one of hers! IT’S FUCKING UNFAIR AND YOU KNOW IT. And now you’re going to keep my dream pup away from me? Seriously? Go fucking kill yourself you fat whore. I’ll find my perfect mate somewhere else. Yeah, you fucking heard me— PERFECT MATE. I’m in love with Lady, and if I can’t have her, I HAVE TO HAVE ONE OF HER PUPS. I CAN RAISE IT. JUST LET ME FUCKING HAVE ONE OR I’LL COME AND FUCKING TAKE HER MYSELF.

I responded by blocking them since apparently this person is not only hella unstable, but apparently they fuck dogs and want to raise one as their ‘perfect mate’. Jesus fucking Christ. I also checked their FA and it was legit a gallery full of close-up shots of his aunt’s dogs’ genitalia, buttholes, and teats. His FA has since then been banned, thank god.

I posted a comment on a video in which the fandom did something embarrassing, and this guy showed up and was quick to accusations.

What is a furry? The Furry Fandom is an internet subculture of people who like animals that have human characteristics (walking and talking). Furries aren't generally well liked due to the explicit art or the behavior that people in the fandom seem to have. Not all furries are ill-behaved but a good portion of them are. -Frostmod
