VISUAL KEI INDIES
VKI is a project that aims to help indie VK bands get more recognition outside of Japan and to provide fans of VK with information about new bands they might be interested in.
We aim to post information about a new band once a week.
Please message us with suggestions of bands you'd like us to introduce! And we're happy to accept submissions of band intros! In fact, that would help us out greatly, so please do!

GLARD is a band that’s based out of Osaka, Japan. They started in December 2013. They’re celebrating their 1 year anniversary with the release of their first mini album and a one man live on 12/13/14.

Royz held its first live on September 28th, 2009 as four-member band before guitarrist Kuina joined in February 2010. One year later they've joined label B.P.RECORDS. Guitarist Kazuki retired from the music industry in June 2014 due to family reasons and the band went back to be a four-member band.
So far they've released 9 singles, 4 live-limited singles, 3 albums and 7 live DVDs as well as 1 documentary DVD. On December 10th, 2014 Royz' new single "Supernova" will hit the stores.

Arlequin (アルルカン) debuted in 2013. They released their first Demo-Single on October 2nd, 2013. Their first album "near equal" (ニア・イコール) will hit the stores on November 12th, 2014.

liraizo started their activities on September, 8th 2014. They are all former members of session band鬼神會(kijinkai). The band‘s debut live will be held on November 17th and they will release their first mini album Himitsu Club (秘密クラブ) on November 26th 2014.

Looking for people to become Admins and join our team!
We've been a little down on post volume lately due to busy admins, so we're looking for more people to join our team!
What we need is people who can be active at least one day a week or more to help either find bands to post about, and/or to write intro posts for bands! We're also interested in having people who can post updates about indie bands such as changes in members, going major, new releases, ect.
We're especially interested in anyone who is maybe studying in Japan or goes to lives in Japan and has access to fliers handed out after those lives as they're a good source of new info.
Also anyone who would be interested in being the main person to handle our twitter account, which would involve making sure we follow all the bands we post about!
You need to have an understandable level of English to be able to communicate with other admins if needed, and write posts understandably.

Today we want to introduce a band to you which is signed under an indie label but already has a solid fanbase: vistlip. The band formed in July 2007 and officially started their activities in December of the same year. They have releases 13 singles and 3 full albums as well as 3 mini albums, one single collection, one artist book and several DVDs.

I.T.G which is short for "Instigate The Grief" has officially formed in December 2013 and held its first live on June 1st 2014 in Yamagata. The first release of this band is a self-titled album that dropped the same day of its first live and includes 10 songs. I.T.G has uploaded a comment video and preview for it to its youtube channel!

Ecthelion (エクセリオン) formed more than one year ago, on March 25th 2013. In December of the same year keyboarder and guitarist TAISEI left the band but three months later the band became a five-member band again when Sebastiano Serafini joined them. Ecthelion has released one mini album and two singles - the third one will drop on June 25th.

Visual Kei band A.S.K. started its activities on July 10th 2013 and chose its bandname as abbreviation for "Aggressive Silent Killer". A.S.K.'s new mini album is titled "BLACK" and it will drop in June 2014. Check out song previews, the latest PV preview and live footage on their official youtube channel!

JASSY was formed as three-member band at their first live on September 18th 2013 but already two months later bassist Criff joined them. Until today they have released one CD titled "ajiway JASSY" and two songs which are available for free download on the band's website. A new mini album will follow in June before holding their first one man live in August 2014.
