Isn't Takuya the family name? 'Cause I heard him and Uehara were brothers.
Nope, Takuya is the given name. When you read their names in Japanese publications, they're always written as 永岡卓也 and 植原卓也, which indicate that 永岡 (Nagaoka) and 植原 (Uehara) are their family names, since family names come first in Japanese.
I'm given to believe that Takuya is just a popular name, since there are several people I've noticed named Takuya who have been apart of the Kuroshitsuji musicals.

hello, I just posted a question to your tumblr page for takuya nagaoko. I don't want to repeat but I was not sure if you would be able to see my post. I was hoping since you translate takuya's twitter if you could help me with his and the other grim reaper actors names. On some sites the actors of black butler musical is switched as in takuya some sites put his name as nagaoko takuta in stead of takuya nagaoko I was hoping for some help about their names if not all his. Thank you for your time

Takuya’s name, in Japanese, is written 永岡卓也. The first two characters are Nagaoka, the last two are Takuya. You would call him Nagaoka Takuya, but in Japanese, family names come at the beginning of the name, with the given name second.
Takuya’s family is Nagaoka. His given name is Takuya. If he were in an English-speaking country, he would be called Takuya Nagaoka.
In English terms, Takuya is his first name. Many fansites and places that do translations will keep it as Nagaoka Takuya, as that is the order in which his names would be said in Japanese, but because we run this page in English, we usually say Takuya or Takuya Nagaoka.

Hi, I'm new to black butler and just recently found out about the musicals. I love all the actors but my favs are the grim reapers. I have gone online and out their names in like for example takuya nagaoka but some sites put his name as nagaoka takuya. I was wondering which is the way you would type it in english . I guess which is his surname and given name. I would like to know this for all the grim reaper actors from the musical but if you can't at least tell me fortakuya. Thanks
Well, first of all, welcome to the Kuro fandom, and an even BIGGER welcome to the tiny Kuromyu, reaper-obsessed subfandom!!
Now to answer your question, it honestly depends. In Japanese, the surname goes first, hence: Nagaoka Takuya. But many people flip them for ease of understanding for english speakers, hence: Takuya Nagaoka. We use both, and when you're searching, I'd also highly recommend searching both terms as well.
Depending on the version of Kuromyu 2 you're watching (first run versus second run), the reaper actors are different, but I'm gonna guess first run since our beloved Taku-chan isn't in the second run. I'll list their names by English naming convention, followed by their Japanese kanji.
William T. Spears - Takuya Nagaoka 永岡卓也Grell Sutcliff - Takuya Uehara 植原卓也Ronald Knox - Yosuke Crawford ヨウスケ・クロフォードEric Slingby - Saeki Taisuke 佐伯太輔Alan Humphries - Shinya Matsumoto 松本慎也
Yosuke is the only one without kanji for his name because his name is foreign. His birth name is Luke Crawford, and you can look him up as Yosuke Crawford, Luke Crawford, and Luke C.
