hey i think that yo misspelled a word when yo defending the ship bevwise you loo at children and think any apporites thoughts at all
I’m going to rise from the dead to answer this ask because honestly I can’t tell if this is supposed to be a legit criticism of spelling or a pitiful attempt at anon hate. Either way, I’m getting a laugh out of the fact that you were so bothered that you had to send an ask to a blog that’s been inactive for months, only for that ask that’s riddled with spelling errors itself.
If a spelling mistake was a serious concern of yours, I will only say that I have reread my response to the asks in question and I don’t see a spelling error? I am not responsible for what people send me, nor is it my job to fix their spelling. I also am in no way accountable for what their thoughts on the subject are, and it’s not my place to dictate how they enjoy the ship.
If this was an attempt to send me anon hate, this is the only one I will answer, because again, this has such poor spelling itself that I can’t tell if it is or not.
But because I’m bored I’ll add this; to repeat, I am not responsible for what other people send me and it’s not my job to dictate how they enjoy the ship. I can only control the content I produce, and my blog celebrates their dynamic in varying forms. The term ‘ship’ is short for relationship, and a relationship between two or more people can mean many things. It can refer to friendship or  the relationship between enemies who hate each other, too. Not everything is about romance and sex.
tl;dr version: don’t confuse the fictional relationship between an ageless monster and a forty year old woman with pedophilia, a platonic friend/protector as a sexual predator, nor the enjoyment of a showdown between good and evil as something immoral.
In my own works on this blog, Beverly only has a sexual relationship with Pennywise/Bob Gray as adult, barring one brief scene at the beginning of an AU fic where Beverly was also a Deadlight creature and neither could control their instincts, which was interrupted before anything explicit happened, and all actual sexual content, once again, takes place while Beverly is an adult. In fact, that fic never actually has Beverly and Pennywise engage in intercourse with one another in any way but implication, and with Beverly as a fully grown woman when it happens.
All of my work with Beverly as a child is intended to be platonic.
My reblogs are a little more up in the air, I guess? Most of the fanart I reblogged are of the two of them doing nothing more than hanging out, so I don’t see how that translates to anything but platonic. Going back through my blog, there’s only a few that I see where the situation can be interpreted as sexual, but there’s 3 important things to be aware of:
1) All pics in question can also be interpreted as Pennywise being a creepy villain because It is her enemy, which is also a relationship my blog celebrates, even if my written works tend to focus more on friends (child) or lovers (adult).2. Literally every picture on this blog was made or reblogged before the cast for IT chapter 2 was announced. I was really delighted to find out my dream fancast for adult Bev was going to be official, but no one knew for sure what Bev was going to look like as an adult and some people interpreted her looking similar to how she appeared as a child, so its entirely possible that she is meant to be an adult in the fanart. 3. Keeping with that, any fan works  made or submitted to me with Beverly as a child were also made before casting was announced, which means that any edits and videos with canon material only had her child self available to use, in which case I either view them as platonic or as enemies and there’s nothing wrong with enjoying the dynamic of a villain and a hero(ine) just as it is.
I can’t say for sure what the artists who’s works I added to this blog had in mind, but I certainly reblogged them with one of these in mind

I was never a shipper of Bevywise but after seeing Chapter 2, I can’t get the idea of human (but evil) Robert Gray x adult Beverly out of my head. The scene where he shows her a glimpse of his human self and tells her to “close your eyes, Bev” in that deep, sexy voice made me feel things in the theater lol
Yes! I also couldn’t help but notice that there was almost something pretty intimate about the way he calls her “Bev” in the scene. It’s been a while since I watched chapter 1, admittedly, but off the top of my head I can’t think of a time when anyone else called her Bev. I remember the Losers all just calling her Beverly and I think her dad called her Bevy a couple of times, but Bob gives her a personal nickname that no one else calls her, which he doesn’t do for anyone else.

I’m coming back from the dead to announce that I’m pretty sure Pennywise was speaking directly to Beverly when It said the line “For 27 years I dreamed of you, I craved you, I missed you” part of the line is overlaying a clip of young Beverly in the Deadlights, and since It actually had her in them for a while it just makes sense to me that It would ‘miss’ her and dream of her as a result of her being rescued.

If you need any prompts, I have a couple of ideas: 1) A pic of Beverly and Pennywise sunbathing together(G rated) 2) Beverly dancing on stage like Pennywise in the 2017 movie 3) A parody comic with Pennywise singing Aladdin's "Friend like Me" song to Beverly Hope this helps
Hi, thank you for the response, but this wasn’t really the kind of prompts I meant, I’m not an artist, I’ll take writing prompts, but if there’s anyone who would like to draw these, they’d be a welcome addition to the blog!

mantisandthemoondragon replied to your post: “Hide and Seek (epilogue)”:
:) but also :( does this mean the story is over?
For now. Hide and Seek was always meant to just be a short 5 part thing, but if I get any good ideas for other short parts, I’ll write them :D

Hide and Seek (epilogue)
Just because things didn’t go according to plan, it doesn’t mean they went bad.
The Deadlights were a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed with the Prim, perhaps before. Gan had noted that where ever there was life, a patch of Deadlights loomed, and when the Deadlights passed, new life formed. Creation, followed by consumption, followed by new creation, and more consumption, in an endless cycle. The balance kept everything in order.
So when He spun physical universe together, Gan created two entities to embody these powers. The Turtle, infused with His life giving powers of creation, and another creature, fashioned from a large patch of Deadlights to consume the old and make way for the new. At the time Gan had thought them perfect, but as time went on, He realized He had made a mistake with the creature of Consumption.
It was a wild, directionless thing that understood only It’s own hunger, not It’s purpose, so It consumed blindly, spreading fear among the cosmos and taking joy in doing so. The fear made It hated, It’s lack of understanding led to none understanding It. And as It failed to connect with any other form of life, unable to relate to anyone, or express Itself to,  Gan realized He had created the loneliest creature in all reality.
Such a pity.
Lives were lost to It’s appetite, as Gan had planned, but the creature abandoned It’s duties to follow It’s indulgences. Reality filled up with no Consumer to devour the dead and dying worlds. It needed to come back, but It would not listen. Not to Him, nor to It’s brother. It was lonely, and angry, It blamed them for It’s isolation.
Gan had an idea. It would not listen to them because It could not relate to them, so surely if there came a creature It could relate to, then surely It would listen to them. So Gan set forth a plan, to mold a new monster from a fresh patch of Deadlights, and sent them down to Earth to meet with the Consumer. The creature was primarily using the form of a human Male, either going by the name Robert Gray, or dressing Itself as a clown by the name Pennywise. The new creature decided it was best to approach in the form of a female to attract It’s attention.
This was where the plan went wrong. When ‘she’ arrived on Earth, Pennywise had fallen asleep and she had to wait for It to reawaken before they could meet. While It slept, she had encountered another. A mortal man, whom she found attractive, and perhaps even loved for a time. She married him, loved him, and bore him a daughter. But the child of a mortal and a Deadlights creature would never last. She gave up her Deadlights to allow the child to live. Her own body lasted only a few years without them before she died from what would be called cancer..
The Deadlights would remain dormant within the child, Beverly, until she reached maturity.
A half human, half Deadlight creature was surely an abomination. A full Deadlights creature such as her mother could control her life stealing abilities, but humans had less mental control, any partner she took would succumb to the Deadlights, She would have to die. So Gan had arranged for Pennywise to find her when It awoke. It would kill her, and reclaim her Deadlights into a creature that could control them...
But yet...
Pennywise was drawn to Beverly, and Beverly to Pennywise. The Consumer cared not that she was half human, It recognized the Deadlights within her and took her as a mate. The pair moved between worlds now, Beverly’s human half could not sustain herself on the cosmos as Pennywise could, so she traveled universes experiencing all they had to offer before her mate came and consumed them.
The Deadlights within her would keep Beverly alive. Perhaps eternally, perhaps not. But it would be a very long time before that became an issue worth investigating. Gan was relieved in the knowledge that, for now, the they were happy in each other’s company. In teaching Beverly about herself, Pennywise was learning much more about Itself as well, and had since become a bit more agreeable.
They were not in anyway prepared to discuss the possibility of  further breeding, making more of their own kind. Pennywise had many times attempted to create offspring asexually, that had been met with failure. Gan had forbidden It to have children. But with It’s mate now, perhaps in time, Gan could allow such a thing. Only Pennywise displayed to ability to eat worlds. Offspring would likely take after their mother...
Oh...
No sense in thinking of such things now. After all, somethings never go as planned, and that was not always such a bad thing...

Hide and Seek part 4
Sorry this is a little later than the others, I got sick!
Mrs. Kersh seemed like a real sweet lady, Beverly thought as she excused herself to use the bathroom. She loved what the old woman had done to the apartment, it barely resembled the cold dark hell hole she remembered from her childhood. The electrical work on the whole building had been redone so every room was lit much better, and she had the floors re-tiled, put in new carpeting and painted the walls, bright soothing colors.
She peeked into her old bedroom, now Mrs. Kersh’s craft room, where the old lady kept all her little projects. It was a soft lilac, with hand painted sunflowers on the wall next to the window. There was a half dressed mannequin with a blouse she was sewing, a couple of crochet projects and fabric everywhere, it reminded Beverly of her own office back home...
In the bathroom she started to wash up. Bev expected to see a huge bloodstain on the floor, but it too had been redone with porcelain white flooring, a new tub and sink that looked almost victorian. The walls were dark blue, and the window open to let in the sunlight.
Her pocket buzzed, Beverly dried her hands and checked her phone, wondering if it was Mike. Instead she recognized her doctor’s name, he must be busy if he was just texting and not calling- or he expected her to be busy. Either was possible. Not wanting to keep her host waiting, Beverly checked the text.
Bev,
Dr.  Henderson sent back the results, she’s never seen or heard anything like this. I would like to refer to another specialist and see if anything comes up. y/n? Call me
She held the phone, hand shaking slightly. The first man she ever had sex with had fallen into a strange coma and died a week later. Beverly had felt bad that she never spoke with him again after their Halloween tumble, but hadn’t thought anything about how he died until she had gotten married to her first husband, Tom Rogan. He was aggressive and somewhat demanding, but she had talked him until waiting until marriage to have sex. A week after they’d married, he too had fallen into a similar coma and died.
The same thing had happened with her second husband, and a nice young man that she had gone to for comfort. Probably more that she didn’t know about since she had a number of flings that she never checked up on. Beverly had been consulting her doctor about a possible disease she might have that killed anyone she had sex with, such a thing sounded impossible, ridiculous, but so far all of them were dead. He knew nothing. The specialist he contacted came up with nothing. Would another come up with any results.
A knock sounded at the bathroom door, “Did you fall in, dear?”
Beverly hastily put her phone away and stuttered a response “N-no, I...I just can’t find the hand soap!” She said, noting that the only soap on the sink was a bottle of bodywash for the shower.
“Oh, sorry darling” Mrs. Kersh replied through the door, “I broke the bottle this morning, there’s a big tub of it under the sink if you don’t mind” She explained, “The tea’s ready when you come out!”
“Not at all!” Beverly replied and quickly rewashed her hands with the soap and went to join Mrs. Kersh back in the living room, sitting on one of her comfy chairs across from the old lady, smiling as she again thought about what a nice woman she was.
Glad someone could make a wonderful home out of this place.
“What a state this apartment was in when my husband and I moved in.” She sighed over her tea, “It was cheap, so my dear man, you know the type ‘it’s a fixer upper’ went and bought it and then didn’t lift a finger to help fix it up.” Mrs. Kersh laughed, “I think the family that lived her between us must have started renovating, but quit halfway through, but I picked out all the paint and wall paper and all the titles and had to find a company that would come and do the repairs that was within the guidelines of the apartment. What a mess!”
Beverly’s smile faded just slightly...huh...had Mrs. Kersh changed shirts while she was in the bathroom? She was certain the old lady had been wearing a pale pink blouse, but now she was wearing a long sleeved white shirt with a ruffled collar.
She decided not to change the topic to ask. “Must have. When I lived here the whole apartment was so dark it made everything feel so cramped. It’s funny, actually! You have a lot more stuff than we did but it also feels bigger than I remember!”
Beverly closed her eyes and took a sip of her tea, but almost gagged. The tea had a shocking, coppery taste, “Too bitter, my dear?” Mrs. Kersh asked.
She shook her head and opened her eyes again, “No, it’s not that it’s...” She trailed off, the liquid in her cup was blood red...no, it was blood. Beverly looked up in alarm and noticed that Mrs. Kersh was now wearing red lipstick that she hadn’t had on before, and her clothes were changing again, red pompoms replaced the buttons on her front.
“It really is you this time, isn’t it?” The woman’s voice no longer sounded so sweet and innocent, it was high, but still rather masculine. She remembered that voice.
The creature hadn’t finished transforming yet when Beverly realized that there was no Mrs. Kersh, her host had been It the whole time. She threw the blood filled cup at the forming clown and made a mad dash to the bathroom. It was a stupid, childish reaction, in her youth, the bathroom had always felt like a sanctuary where no harm could come to her, that has been disillusioned for her years ago, so just as she turned into the hallway, Beverly changed course.
Her bedroom was full of Mrs. Kersh’s junk, so the last place to go was her father’s old room. She opened the door and found the room was broken and abandoned, cobwebs and dried, dead leaves were scattered about. It reminded her of the Neibolt house. Beverly glanced behind her, to see a similar scene. The bright colors and gentle decorating were gone. The whole building was condemned.
Perhaps she could escape out the window...
When she turned back into the room, Pennywise was there, sprawled out on her father’s long abandoned bed, smirking at her. “Well, that was rather rude.” It said, “And here I’ve been so looking forward to meeting you again.”
“Fuck you.” Beverly hissed, gripping the doorway. She could make a break for the front door, or maybe the bathroom window, but Bev had a feeling the monster wasn’t going to let her get away that easily.
It’s smile widened, and It’s eyes twinkled seductively, “Do you want to?” The clown asked, “Fuck me, that is.” It rolled over and patted the bed next to it, invitingly “I wanna fuck you.” The creature added, quite forwardly as if that was supposed to be charming.
In a blink, It moved from the bed up close and in her face, fingers clasping her chin and forcing her to look up at It. She remembered instantly, that thing that happened in the sewer...When they almost. “No I don’t!” She hissed, but even as she said so her nostrils were filled with that intoxicating scent and her resolve on that statement crumpled immediately.
Pennywise seemed to pick up on that,of course It did, and It leaned down to kiss her. Beverly was taller now, It did not have to bend over as far and she did not have to lean up as much for their lips to touch. Her heart trembled, oh god fucking dammit! She did want to fuck the clown! More than she ever wanted to fuck anyone!
It released her lips for a breath and kissed her again, even It’s intimidating stance started to soften up as It relaxed into It’s desires. Whatever trick It used to move so quickly must have been utilized again, because suddenly they were on the bed, it was filthy and uncomfortable, but Beverly remembered this was her father’s bed and that old thought that had crossed her mind as a child, that she’d rather fuck this monster than ever let her father look at her, came back.
Yes. She was going to fuck Pennywise, and she was going to do it in that bastard’s bed.
But still, something caused Beverly to hesitate. That text she received from her doctor, the unanswered questions, the men that turned up dead after having sex with her. She still didn’t know what was causing it, and...could it effect Pennywise? In a way that would be good, the world wouldn’t miss a monster...
But would she...?
In the meantime, if Pennywise could really hear her thoughts, It seemed to be completely ignoring them for now, busying Itself with pleasuring her. Beverly couldn’t read minds herself, but she had good intuition and noticed the creature’s unsteady hands. It had been looking forward to this, she could almost sense the excitement in It’s touch, in every quick breath. Beverly recalled something Mike had said earlier, that he wanted to call sooner, but he had to be sure it was the monster from their childhoods;  the disappearance and murder of several red haired women about their age had thrown him off.
He had suspected a second, non-supernatural killer, but Beverly was certain that it must have been Pennywise, looking for her. That was almost charming in a...very disturbing and sickening way.
Suddenly Pennywise paused, It had lifted her shirt and was kissing down her chest when It stopped and made a puzzled chirping sound. “That makes no sense...” It mumbled, looking her up and down,
“What is it?” Beverly asked, almost fearing that It was about to say her friends were coming again. Oh, she loved those boys but if they spoiled this again...
Instead, Pennywise gave the most confusing reply she had ever heard, “You have Deadlights inside you...” It answered, sounding almost shocked.
“I...what?” Pennywise opened It’s mouth slightly, gesturing inside and she pulled It’s hand down, “I know what your stupid Deadlights are. What do you mean I have them inside me?”
It placed a hand on her breast, “I can smell them. I didn’t know what it was at a distance but now that we’re this close...” It leaned down face in her chest, turned slightly with It’s ear pressed against her to listen to her heart beat. “I don’t know how you could have them...but the fact that you do explains a lot...”
Beverly wanted to question It, almost did, but as she thought about it there was no need. Pennywise mentioned being able to smell the Deadlights, if that was true, perhaps the sweet scent that drew them together was her smelling It’s Deadlights. She remembered in biology class that mammals release certain pheromones when they were ready to breed, which then attracted a mate to them. 27 years ago she got her first period, in many species and that made her fit to start looking for a mate.
And if she had Deadlights, that technically made Pennywise a suitable mate, even if she was just a child.
“And it explains the men that died” The clown said, revealing the fact that It had been hearing her thoughts. It elaborated “Getting too close to Deadlights would have drained the life from them. It wasn’t the sex itself, just the intimacy.” It looked up at her and started sniffing again, “But you still smell so human...A human with Deadlights....It’s impossible...”
“Apparently it is possible” Beverly replied, pushing Pennywise off her with a sigh, “How?”
“I don’t know.”
The revelation seemed to have killed the mood. Beverly slipped her shirt back on, Pennywise made a small sound of protest, but didn’t try to stop her. “I suppose if I have these Deadlights, then I can never have sex with anyone without killing them, right?”
“Except me.” The creature replied, sounding a little eager, even proud to be the only available mate.
Beverly rubbed her temples. Fuck, this was a mess. She couldn’t let this creature live if It was going to murder and devour people= children! But...She couldn’t bear to see It die now, not just because of the potential for sex, but because she had no idea what any of this Deadlights business meant, she needed It to show her how to exist with herself the way she was.
Pennywise moved over to her, clutching Beverly around the waist and burying It’s face in her neck. “I can leave Earth. I’ll show you everything if you  come with me, we can figure the rest of this out later.”
It seemed abrupt, especially since she had not even had the full reunion with the Loser’s club, but knowing that she shared such similarities with the monster they all came here to kill, Beverly felt like she had no choice. Answers to this were not on Earth. “Take me.” She said.
And like before, they were on the bed one second...Somewhere else the next...

You're going to have a lot of shit thrown your way because you ship Beverly and Pennywise, but just watch, as soon as "Chapter Two" comes out, people are going to be shipping them. Honestly, I don't see anything wrong between shipping Pennywise with the 1989 Beverly because there's nothing wrong with shipping two FICTIONAL characters. And based on the film, Pennywise was infatuated with Beverly. Just because you ship them doesn't make you a pedophile or attracted to children, either. (Part 1)
I’m going to put the rest of these asks on the response and under a read more. I don’t anticipate that Bevywise is a big enough ship here on tumblr that anyone that would care enough to start drama is going to find it since I won’t tag it, but better safe than sorry. At least it’s their own fault if they decided to read and got angry by anything said below
I ship them, but I don't look at children in public and think any appropriate thoughts at all. I would kill myself before hurting a kid and I hope anyone that has hurt a kid gets the death penalty. There's a BIG fucking difference between fiction and realty, but people like blurring the lines because it makes them uncomfortable. Did everyone forget about the orgy that happened in the book? I guess if you're not a famous author, you should be mobbed for thinking such things. And I don't tell Bill and Sophia that they should date. Actually, I don't follow any of the children on social media. I don't harass them because they are NOT their characters and I know it's inappropriate and it would make them very, very uncomfortable. I know my limits and I'm not stupid. Anyway, sorry about ranting, but I just wanted to send these in. Maybe people will shut the fuck before they even starts.
Tbh I have a pretty good feeling that you’re right that interest in Bevywise as a ship is going to spike in part 2, I’ve seen this kind of thing happen before and if/when it does, so will the hate for it. As far as this blog’s run, I haven’t actually gotten any shit for it, and I largely attribute that much to the fact that I, personally, do not ship them in the first part, and try maintain a platonic relationship when she’s a child.
That said, even though I still would prefer that platonic relationship with her as a child, I do  agree that they are fictional characters and liking a fictional relationship, no matter the conditions is not the same as approving of it irl. I am also a huge fan of dinosaurs, but no amount of dinosaur books, drawings, or other paraphernalia is going to make me a T-Rex.
People like to entice drama over things that can easily be avoided (re: my hatred of a Certain Ship in GOT that absolutely makes my skin crawl, but I just don’t go into that portion of the fandom and utilize blocks/blacklists whenever That Ship sneaks on to mainstream tags, rather than throw a fit at people just having fun), I’m not here to stir the pot for them.
I’m going to have to disagree about the orgy scene, though. Stephen King does to this day get a lot of shit for writing it, he does get called out for writing child porn by  the same people that call shippers pedophiles or abuse apologists. He also gets called racist and sexist. Unfortunately people can’t seem to grasp that most of the actual horror in IT doesn’t come from the child eating monster, but from the everyday horrors like real life racism and abuse that we can’t escape from.
I’m going to take the part about not telling Bill and Sophie they should date as a jab at Reddie shippers? Tbh, I don’t really care for Reddie myself so I don’t pay much attention to what bullshit is happening in that part of the fandom, but I see this happening in other fandoms as well so I’m just guessing. i don’t follow any of them on social media either, I’m just not really one for it myself either.
Don’t apologize. We’ve been pretty lucky so far that Bevywise remains under the radar, but I am prepared for an eventual influx of hate if we’re right about it getting popular when part 2 comes out.

Hide and Seek part 3
Part 1
Part 2
The creature awoke with It’s usual hunger. A storm started to brew as It crawled out of the darkness, looking for food. Derry could change a lot in the years It slept below the town, but Pennywise was often more surprised by how it didn’t. The hungry monster followed familiar streets, sniffing out prey and coming across an interesting scene.
It was a birthday party, with at least 30 kids, a big bouncy castle and several party clowns mixed in with a bunch of parent chaperones. One more clown was hardly worth not and Pennywise went in to investigate. With so many children running around, even this many adults couldn’t possibly keep an eye on all of them. Breakfast was served.
That is, until It saw Beverly.
The woman a different last name, but human females changed their names once they met and married a mate, didn’t they? The creature never understood the concept of marriage, many beings even on this small world mated for life, what was so special about a wedding? There was just some stupid, easily destroyed piece of paper that claimed two people were one, or some shit like that. From It’s understanding, humans were not even always faithful either, so what was the point?
Still, the knowledge that Beverly had married made the clown feel angry. What was her last name now, Denbrough or Hanscom? Both boys had serious feelings for her as children, surely one of them must have grown to be her husband...No, neither. Her last name was Williams. Odd. It didn’t remember Beverly ever hanging out with anyone by the name Williams.
For the moment, Pennywise ignored the rumble of It’s stomach to get closer to Beverly. It should be angry, she had, in the end, turned on It and helped her friends beat It. Yet, the creature felt something stir within it as the sight of her, a different kind of hunger that compelled It to take her and finish what they had started 27 years ago.
And steal her away from fucking Williams.
The woman caught It staring at her, and her eyes furrowed in confusion, but human minds were so simple, especially the ones here in Derry, It didn’t take long to trick her into believing it was her idea to abandon the party and sneak up to the house with the clown.
The further away from the distracting scent of the children, the more Pennywise was starting to notice something didn’t feel right. The pair slipped inside and Beverly led It to a bedroom where she began to undress herself. The clown started to follow suit, climbing onto the bed with her and under the covers where It began to touch and kiss her.
And where It realized It’s mistake.
She didn’t smell right. That sweet scent that had drawn It to Beverly was nowhere on this woman. Nor the personal scents It had been associating with her all Summer, and even the scent of Derry seemed new on her. This woman was not the right one, her name was never Beverly Marsh. She used to be Beverly Lewis, from Haven, not Derry. She and her husband had moved here three years ago.
The monster started to growl, this was It’s own mistake, mixing her up with the wrong Beverly, but It still felt like It had been tricked. Seduced away from It’s Beverly by a false one as It had intended to seduce her from whoever the fuck Williams was. As It’s anger flared, the spell Beverly was under broke, and she realized what she was about to do. But as she tried to call off the affair, claiming she loved her husband, she noticed that her bedding companion was not what she believed It was.
Blood stained the mattress as Pennywise tore her throat out, she gasped and gurgled out a cry as she choked on her own blood. The monster started feeding on her while she still lived, not bothering to put her in the Deadlights, there was no place in them for a false Beverly, after all. Not ideal, but breakfast was breakfast.
The creature prevented anyone outside from realizing the false Beverly was missing while It ate, tearing off her head to scoop out her brain and pondered just why It had gotten so excited about the idea of meeting Beverly again. As before, It knew that no other prey had gotten such a response from It. Why did It want to fuck Beverly more than It wanted to eat her?
It couldn’t figure out any explanation, their encounter had been so brief, too, that It did not trust It’s own memory to even guess. It needed to find her again. It need to fuck her, and get rid of these insipid desires. The ‘why’ could be answered once It was satisfied.
With more meat than It could possibly devour in a single meal, Pennywise brought the false Beverly back to It’s lair to finish later, leaving an empty bed with a large bloodstain as the only clue about what had become of her. The monster had no care to dispose of evidence, it wasn’t like Pennywise could ever be caught.
Now It could begin It’s hunt, the hunt for Beverly Marsh, and the truth to why It was was so enchanted by her.

Hide and Seek part 2
Part 1
Beverly Marsh lost her virginity at the age of twenty-two at a college Halloween party. The story wasn’t a romantic one, about a young man and a young woman who had been pining over each other the last year or so finally uniting in a passion told of in romantic comedies. Quite the opposite, actually. Beverly had dumped the young who would have been the protagonist of that romantic comedy a week before.
She hadn’t expected him to be at the party.
A large portion of the night had been spent ducking behind her friends trying to avoid the awkward encounter waiting for her. They’d planned on a couples costume when the month had started and he was still wearing his half, but Beverly had changed costumes, wearing a quick homemade costume out of the dress she had designed for a class project and a few glow-in-the dark plastic spiders woven into her hair with fake webs.
It wasn’t all that special to be completely honest, but something about it got her third prize in the costume contest, so she must have done something right.
Other than avoid her ex, the party had been going fairly well. There were drinks, and smokes and some guys with drugs that Beverly avoided almost as passionately as she avoided him, but the music was good and the games were fun.
Without really meaning to, Beverly found herself checking out the guys, wondering if it wasn’t too early to be seeking out someone else to helplessly pine over for the next year, hoping she’d get lucky and attract his attention. Maybe that was the booze talking.
That was when she saw the clown.
In her head, Beverly was calling him Roger, but she was sure that wasn’t his name. She wasn’t sure what about him was catching her eye. He wasn’t wearing a generic store bought party clown costume, but it didn’t appear that he was going for the scary ‘killer clown’ look either. He was somewhere between the two, Beverly thought. And something about him brought to mind something else. Something from a few years ago, that was just on the edge of her memory...Or maybe it was the booze talking.
She remembered, someone suggested she talk to him. Apparently her gaze wasn’t going unnoticed, but Beverly stayed where she was seated, intent on finish her beer and chips before she even thought about going over there, when her hands were forced by none other than her ex in explicitly picking a fight with the poor clown.
Okay, surely there was some context she was missing, being overly attentive to her food and drink, but she heard the commotion, saw her clown being pushed over a table by her ex-pirate to her ex-princess costume idea and she was very, very drunk so she shouldn’t try to do anything stupid...
Her fist collided with his face and she shouted a few things she wouldn’t remember, the party host kicked them out and Beverly didn’t remember the details of how she actually ended up in Roger’s dorm, but she remembered quite clearly how she practically chased him into bed. That too reminded her of something. She couldn’t say what, exactly, it was on the tip of her tongue though, and she was sure if she fucked the clown it would come to mind.
It didn’t.
It was clearly Roger’s first time too, and it was a messy, bumbling experience, he kept apologizing and she threw up over the side of the bed when it was over. Was it bad? Beverly didn’t think so, a little less satisfying that she imagined, but she wondered if that wasn’t in part to the memory she just couldn’t get to resurface.
It definitely involved a clown, and she was certain sex had something to do with it, but how, why, when or who completely evaded her and and dreams did nothing to provide any insight. Rather than any kind of deep, lucid dream probing the truth out of her subconscious, Beverly mostly dreamed about a eating a corn dog the size of a truck in her underwear.
Morning came with the awkwardness of waking in a stranger’s bedroom, realizing they never introduced themselves (turned out his name was actually Logan, not Roger) and they were both going to be late for class. As Beverly hastily put her dress from the night before back on so she could run back to her own dorm for casual clothes, Logan stopped her with a single question.
“Who is Pennywise?” She stared at him in confusion, and he gestured to her with a slight blush on his cheeks, “L-Last night, you called me Pennywise. I thought...He might be a mascot or a birthday clown from your old home town?”
An image flashed in her head of, yes, a clown. She could see him very clearly, his white face and painted red lips. Neither mascot or birthday clown seemed to describe what ‘Pennywise’ meant to her, but he definitely had some connection to her old home town. But just as quickly the image was gone.
“I don’t know” She said after a couple minutes of increasingly awkward silence, “I was really drunk last night, probably was some sort of clown mascot from when I was a kid, but I really don’t remember. I’ve got to get real clothes on, I’ll see you around, okay?”
She’d feel bad later that those were the last words she said to him, because later that week Logan was discovered in a strange, glossy eyed coma, after that, dead within a few days...
