ARTISTS FOR PALESTINE 🇵🇸 - ROUND 2!! On the 16th and 23rd of March, I'll be doing art requests on stream with other notable artists to raise money for Operation Olive Branch and Project Watermelon.
This round's roster is very lucky to include notable webcomic artists like explodikid, Graveweaver, Curryuku and Speremint who respectively create Covenant, I'm The Grim Reaper, Not So Shoujo Love Story and Brimstone and Roses on WEBTOON. We also have Onstamonsta, an artist, streamer and Kiryu fan who Drawfee fans might recognise and the exceptionally talented Jessie Lam!
Last fundraising event was a great success, and I hope some of you might show up for this next round of streams. All money will be donated directly to Palestinian escape funds as the situation of Rafah is becoming exponentially worse (and if you'd like to donate directly, here's a link to a spreadsheet of over 750!)
As always, these fundraisers will always be available to watch over on my twitch channel. Thank you all and free Palestine!

🇵🇸 From BDS - What to Boycott:
Fruits, vegetables and wines from Israel are often wrongly labelled as “Produce in Israel” when they come from stolen Palestinian land. Boycott all produce from Israel in your supermarket and demand they are removed from shelves.
thank you @leandra-winchester for making the graphic above! if any of you are active on other social platforms, you have her permission to use the image however you want (no credit required)
keep in mind, though, that this isn't a complete list: you should still check the origin labels on other types of fruit and veggies, and see if any local orgs have produced a more complete breakdown of israeli produce that's specific to your country

OP isn't exaggerating. There are countless of videos of the IDF shooting at crowds of Palestinians trying to find food for themselves and their starving families. The UN World Food Programme even suspended delivering aid because the IDF won't stop shooting people.

Repost: We grieve the loss of Fathi Ghaben, iconic Palestinian painter, born in Hiribya in the Gaza strip in 1947.
He was mainly known for his folklore art and depiction of resistance through existence and culture - "His figures are captured in motion as they labor, protest, tend to their fields, celebrate, and dance. The raw power of the working-class is there in Ghaben's artwork, as it is in him." (Quote from @alserkalavenue).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He passed away yesterday (Feb 25, 2024) as a result of the neglect of the occupation. He was waiting for the Israeli authorities to grant him permission to to leave Gaza to receive medical aid after multiple requests.
Photo credits and ID below the cut.
ID: [The first picture is taken in the Jabalia Palestinian Refugee Camp in the north of Gaza city. It is a black-and-white photograph of Fathi Ghaben, a Palestinian painter, in his house. The picture is from The Joss Dray Collection via Pal Museum Digital Archive. The second picture is from the same day in 1987. It is a picture of him with his family in their house. The black and white picture shows him, a woman, and three kids in frame.]
[All remaining images are directly sourced from Fathi's Facebook and/or X. One of them is a painting of farmers tending to their fields, with an abundance of oranges around them. The other is a painting of a woman sitting on the floor and sewing a traditional Palestinian pattern, known as tatreez, onto a dress. The next picture shows people in a village, a woman sits on the ground next to a clay oven, known as taboon, making bread. A child is sitting next to a collection of baked bread near her and holds a round piece of bread. The painting after depicts a large group of farmers picking fruits from trees. There’s a large amount of green fruit collected on the ground. The picture after is an image of the painter Fathi Ghaben painting on canvas. He is painting what looks like a lake in the moonlight, with trees, bushes, and birds around. The last picture is a painting of horses across a field near a stream of water.] END ID.

The US, on 29 February, vetoed a UN Security Council (UNSC) statement that would have condemned Israel for the mass murder of over 100 Palestinian civilians who were awaiting the delivery of humanitarian aid in Gaza City. “We don’t have all the facts on the ground – that’s the problem,” US deputy ambassador to the UN Robert Wood told reporters on Thursday. He then claimed there are “contradictory reports” about the Israeli army's latest massacre and highlighted that Washington was focused on finding “some language that everyone can agree on.” Thursday's veto is the fifth time Washington has blocked a UNSC statement or ceasefire resolution that would hold Israel accountable for the atrocities it has committed in Gaza.

Boycott Israeli Dates this Ramadan, from Call 2 Action Now, 28/Feb/2024: (caption under images)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This Ramadan, don’t break your fast with an Israeli date. Stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Israel’s genocidal assault on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip has now killed tens of thousands. Palestinians, facing down Israel’s catastrophic violence, call on us to boycott Israeli products in solidarity with their struggle for freedom.
Follow this quick guide to boycotting Israeli dates:
• Always check the label when buying dates. Don’t buy dates that are produced or packaged in Israel or its West Bank settlements. If no country of origin can be found on the box, check the retailer’s website.
• One of Israel’s largest exporters is called Hadiklaim. It sells dates in supermarkets under these names: King Solomon, Jordan River and Jordan River Bio-Top, as well as under the labels of supermarket chains. Check the box carefully, if the dates were “exported by Hadiklaim” – don’t buy them.
• Avoid these companies: Mehadrin, MTex, Edom, Carmel Agrexco, and Arava
#checkthelabel is not enough. Israel has been caught labelling their dates as ‘produce of Palestine’. Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, M&S, Morrison, Aldi, Lidl and Asda package Israeli dates under their own labels!
Buy dates from Zaytoun, Alard, Yaffa, and Holy Land Date all support Palestinian Farmers. If you cannot get hold of these brands then buy dates from Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, UAE and Algeria.

A daily reminder
Those Palestinian people were not killed, they were murdered
Its not a war on Hamas, its a genocide on Palestine
Its the beautiful land Palestine, not isreal
Its Genocide, not war
Its a murdered toddler/child/baby/teen, not a dead young lady/man
Its “isreal should have not..” not “Hamas should have not…”
Its Palestines last defense, not a terrorist organization
Its hostages, not prisoners
Neutrality is still just Zionism
It was a sniper shot, not a stray bullet
Boycott Starbucks, Mcdonalds, etc
Protest
Revolt
Call your lawmakers
Keep ALL EYES on Rafah
And remember, from the river to the sea Palestine will be free
Free Palestine 🇵🇸
(remember to reblog and help get the bottom tags trending again, we must not forget palestine)
