The will to win is important, but the will to prepare is vital. It's fitting that what I've been trying to impress upon my high school athletes is also one of things preached @ranfonetraining (at Ranfone Training Systems)

Shoutout @miggsybogues for generating this quote on the #dailyvee 22. I can totally relate to where your coming from and the context of your question of not being there yet. You, @bonvecstrength, and @thestrengthhouse are some of the guys who are a head of me that haven't made it yet but are on their way there that I look up to. Extremely grateful for all the ways you guys have helped me grow. It's super awesome to see #cspfamily be represented on the DailyVee show! Way to represent Miguel! #repost @garyvee ・・・ When judging yourself ... You have to listen to one person .. YOU .. Respecting others feedback is important and paying attention to how people react to you is important .... ❌❌ BUT ❌❌.. If you aren't feeling good about yourself and your decisions than you have no shot ... Not what your husband thinks not what your parents think. Not what your BFF thinks .. What YOU think about YOU

Great to get to hear @drivelinebaseball spit the truth about what we know about pitching and developing high velocity pitchers. Which is not as much as we think. Driveline is looking to raise the bar and push the frontier of what we know. Looking forward to see what they deliver on that front. Thanks to @x2athleticperformance for hosting. #baseball #drivelinebaseball #pitching #velocity (at X2 Athletic Performance)

Not sure how the hell this happened when I haven't lifted in about a month... #zeppbaseball #hitting #baseball #90mph What are people's thoughts on the accuracy of the zepp baseball sensor? There are times where I feel like I square the ball up really well (with a good visual result) and I get average to below average numbers and other times like this where the numbers shot way up and it just feels alright

"...start with your detractors and work upwards through their claims to see if there is any merit. If after a thorough search, you cannot find a reasonable and logical rebuttal to what you propose, then maybe what you believe has some truth." - @drivelinebaseball, article on WEIGHTED BASEBALLS, SAFETY, AND CONSEQUENCES Check it out! http://bit.ly/1Syl0KF Confirmation bias hard at work here. Totally cherry picked this quote but it perfectly encapsulates one of philosophies and approaches I try to employ in my life. This often times is frustrating to many people, including my friends because we are naturally inclined to seek out people who agree with us. To counter our confirmation bias we should do as one of the greatest coaches of all time advised "surround yourself with smart people who will argue with you." - John Wooden #confirmationbias #baseball #drivelinebaseball #philosophy #scientificapproach

Whatever you do in life, surround yourself with smart people who'll argue with you. - John Wooden None of us is perfect or right all the time. And all of us are narrow minded and biased. But if we care about being right then we should surround ourselves with people smarter than us who can challenge us. Allowing us examine our own beliefs and opens us up to our own assumptions and misconceptions. If we are right then it helps us sharpen our position and can make us more effective communicator. #humility #wisdom #argue #seektruth #wooden

I must stand with anybody that stands right, stand with him while he is right and part with him when he goes wrong. - Abraham Lincoln Be humble enough to admit when you are wrong and affirm when someone else is right while being smart enough to know when they are wrong and stop following them. Far too often we prop people up to be these know it all gurus and take an all or nothing approach. Either everything they say is right or it's all wrong. What is far more likely is they is they have most things right and some things wrong and you need to be able to distinguish where they are right and where they go wrong. #wisdom #lincoln
