To quote Dido, “I will go down with this ship”
i’ve said it once and i’ll say it again, joan and vera are soulmates, in a really fucked up way, but they absolutely are each other soulmate.

Need to see this ASAP
“You can be wild where she is calm, impulsive where she is rational, you party hard while she waits at home, she tidies your room while you wipe away her tears. You can be the two most different people in all the world, as different as night and day, but you never ask the other to be anything than what they are, a friend even when you’ve fallen out, for a sister is always a sister”

The way the person hit the driving wheel in anger is exactly the same as how Joan expresses silent anger. Remember the scene where she hoped Will would hit Franky after she engineered for the truth to be exposed about the death of Meg Jackson? First a groan, hitting the desk / putting her weight on it and then the pencil throw. Hard to explain, but it’s very easy to recognize her mannerisms. Same with opening the bag. A long stroke, then a little faster at the end. If she’ll be at Vera’s door however I do not know. It might in fact be Murphy - as the person at the door seems to be about the same height as Vera is (Vera doesn’t have to look up to look the person in the eye).
Joan might reveal herself in another way. Also, the way this person walks to the car - with big steps - indicates that it is a taller person.
Oh and the soundtrack the moment the person discovers the flyers. That soundtrack ALWAYS plays when Joan is in a scene. It’s basically her theme.

THEORY I LIKE: Joan is alive and well and LEAVES HER LEATHER GLOVES TO VERA which should be seen as a sign of the special affection she feels towards her former colleague
Other theories
Jake paid officer Murphy to do all that for Vera to believe Joan is still alive because he is afraid Will will screw them over...
Matthew Fletcher is trying to mess with Vera because his career is over and Vera is govna and he has plenty of spare time on his hands
Alive and well
