The foxes discovering that Andrew and Neil are just a regular ass couple and subsequently having to render half their betting pools as nobody's win because they were all so incredibly wrong about them:

Nicky catching a glimpse of them holding hands under the blankets at movie nights and ruling the hatefuck theory out.

Aaron accidentally hearing their weird version of flirting in one german conversation on the field during a game and having to rearrange his entire world view (and gagging a little, that's his brother for fucks sake).

Dan briefly seeing two silent figures smoking on the roof on her way to Fox Tower.

Kevin being sexiled from his room and Allison making fun of him for it.

Matt asking Neil to go to some gathering in the girl's room and being told that he can't make it because that's the day he and Andrew go get ice cream and drive around until night practice... It's date night, they just don't call it date night.

Just Neil and Andrew doing the most mundane things and everyone being bewildered about it because they're far more boring than they thought.

i just love how neil specifically remembers that kevin and riko used to draw the numbers on their faces and redraw them every time they faded

like kevin stepped into the actual exy world like “i have a court tattoo” and people went with it and it’s like this scary intimidating thing but neil’s like “yeah i remember when y’all’s cringe asses used to draw on your faces every day. thought you were weird then and i still do now.”

k but you know that scene in TFC where everyone had to hold andrew down to make sure he didn't kill riko on that live interview? and all the other times they had to? i know it was for good reason but you can't tell me andrew felt their hands on him for DAYS after that and was really shaken up. neil notices this, and so from now on in order to get andrew to calm down in extreme situations, all neil does is stand infront of him and not let anyone touch him.

BUT IN ADDITION: like he knows neil did it to save him but hes scared until he realizes that like he’s actually really safe now he can live his life and play exy and all he has to do it like, send money n shit and once he realizes that i think kevin really does start to open up a little more and care about more than just exy because hes finally been given permission to care about more

Y’all think that maybe sometimes Kevin is a little afraid of Neil? Maybe because Neil reminds him just a little bit of the coldness he received from Riko. Or the truths that neil lays out for him and his situation feel just like the hard slaps in the face he was gifted from Tetsuji. Maybe when Neil traded his life from Riko’s grasp to Ichirou’s he felt like it was all falling apart again bc he was just, going to be still treated like a business investment?
