About the Toons in the Folly Five Toon AU #1

Toons can sometimes be brought to life prematurely when they are sketched on the drawing board. A prime example of this was when Whizbang escaped his creators when he was infant as soon as William Thatch drew him.

Real world water has a negative effect on Toons. Toons are created with ink, and ink washes away when in contact with water. The bodies of toons aren’t able to take in that much real-world water and they can melt down to unstable forms when exposed to it. Fortunately they are able to keep hold of their base form until they take shelter from real-world water. Afterwards they can concentrate their energy on reforming their bodies until they are whole again. This can be quickened when the drenched toon consumes ink.

Toons have an uncanny ability to perform songs at the right moment, as to go along with their role to entertain.

Toons can be born without a voice. If not given an actor to play their voice, these mute toons can communicate with facial expressions and grunts/growls/vocals.

The tooniverse is a massive world connected to the real world. Toon Town was the first establishment in the tooniverse before the animated universe expanded as the world of animation grew over the years. 

Depending on the restrictions made along with their studio, toons can either have the permission to harm or not to harm people. This can be risky as there are some cases when toons would need to defend themselves from aggressive humans. Toons who aren't owned by a studio are free of these restrictions.

Toons can be erased by acetone and paint thinner.

Folly Five AU - Little Black Riding Devil

It had only a few minutes since Whizbang left Bendy alone in the wilderness to take care of something nearby. And already the little devil found himself in trouble.   Bendy immediately broke into the run as soon as he spotted the black Wolf charging right for him out of the surrounding woods. The scary carnivore had been lurking around in the woods looking for any unfortunate victim to prey upon and he waited for the right moment to begin his hunt on Bendy. As he ran for his life, Bendy attempted to at least scare or discourage the hungry Wolf with a small roar, displaying a set of sharp teeth. But the Wolf returned with a roar more ferocious than Bendy's, scaring the little demon into increasing his sprint. Eventually Bendy was cornered, pressing himself against a tree as the Wolf advanced closer and closer with salivating jaws. Just when it seemed Bendy was about to become wolf food, the little devil saw a shadow. That majestic shadow - swooping in with a vicious snarl and tackle the wolf away from Bendy. There was a scuffle of claws and teeth right after, as Bendy's friend Whizbang and the Wolf began clashing with each other.

Still positioned against the tree, Bendy stared at the brawl with awe; the moving shadows of both his dragon friend and the Wolf playing about Bendy's form and the surrounding foliage. There was a sharp yelp, either coming from Whizbang or the Wolf. Bendy winced with fright, covering his eyes with his hands but peeks one eye out to continue watching the brawl. Soon the Wolf was sent reeling back by his draconic opponent, scrambling to his feet to bolt away. But the young dragon Whizbang pursued the Wolf through the open plain, growling and roaring as he did. Although he was battered when Wolf landed a few blows and bites on him, the young dragon still had enough energy to continue fighting and he wasn't done with the Wolf just yet.  Seeing the Wolf fleeing, Bendy couldn't help but follow the chase eagerly, cheering Whizbang on with a big grin on his face. "Get 'em, Whiz! Roast 'im up!" He exclaimed, excited in seeing the Wolf, the animal toon that was about to eat Bendy, getting his tail whooped by a young dragon. Whizbang, as soon as he got close, blew a small blast of fire to the Wolf's rear, causing the carnivore to howl loudly in pain and scamper off faster back into the depths of the forest with a trail of smoke behind him. The young dragon slowed to a stop, seeing the off Wolf, satisfied with his victory. Bendy stood beside the battered dragon, looking to where the Wolf disappeared before turning to Whizbang, "Thanks, Whiz. I thought for sure I was gonna be dog food..." Whizbang glanced down at Bendy with a smirk, "Eh, no big deal... Gotta take care of my little bait, right?" He turned and began walking back towards the direction of Toon Town. "That's right, yer nothing without me." Bendy responded proudly, closing his eyes at the thought, "........" And that's when he realized. 'Bait'?? The little devil turned back at the fleeting Whizbang with a look of shock and outrage, "WAIT A MINUTE!!"

Sometime after getting revenge on Abel, Whizbang was with Bendy when they encounter the rebel angel again. When it seems the 'reunion' will become heated (literally), Bendy attempts to start over the introductions peacefully. Of course, Whizbang being Whizbang, the dragon couldn't help but play a firecracker prank on Abel - which sent the angel flying. Bendy becomes shocked at this, but Whizbang quickly drags Bendy away to hide while seeing the angry Abel flying around looking for them moments later. Just when the two misfits think they can walk off unnoticed, Abel suddenly cuts them off, scaring both Bendy and Whizbang. And cue comical chase! XD

Folly Five AU - Revenge Best Served Hot

A week has passed since Whizbang was suddenly disrespected by that angel toon. Since then, the young dragon had been planning revenge and came up with the perfect payback. As he wandered through the district of Toontown he was in, Whizbang started to recall what he heard from the news and rumors. According to the papers and other toons in Toontown, the angel toon was named Abel, a Rebel Angel. Abel is notorious for being rebellious toward his human creators and eventually having beaten them up for tormenting him. The angel then became a neutral kind of toon character overtime, working for both the law - and the opposite side of the law if rewarded enough. 

The concept made Whizbang hiss lowly with disgust. An angel toon working for criminals just for the reward he wants? So wrong. And it gave the dragon one other reason to dislike Abel.

Folly Five AU - Bullying a Dragon

Whizbang learned the hard way that not all angels are nice. While certain ones, like Alice Angel, were an exception, he met one angel that made his ink boil. It was during a regular stroll through Toontown. Whizbang wanted to take some time by himself, mainly minding his own business and avoiding anyone he doesn’t know. There were many toons who walked by him down the sidewalk until the civilian traffic lessened; none of them caught his interest. It was just another simple normal day for him. Well, a normal day with a few firecracker pranks having taken place, resulting in a few random toons getting spooked - heheh.

In the Folly Five Toon AU, Bendy gets Whizbang the Dragon to meet with one his creators, Henry, at Joey Drew Studios. And surprisingly the meeting goes well as Bendy had hoped.

Whizbang isn't used to meeting other humans, since the other people he's comfortable with is his creator, William Thatch, and the Rushflow Productions staff. Being a full animal toon, Whizbang can sense Henry's good nature and noticed that it's similar to his own creator. Because of it, the young dragon takes a liking to Henry. :)

Here is an old ref sheet of my toon character I created from all the inspiration and hype from Bendy and the Ink Machine’s 1930s atmosphere. His design was slightly changed since I first drew him months ago. :)

His name is Whizbang, also called Whiz by friends, a mischievous independent dragon. Like most dragons, he can fly and breathe fire, and he has a love of using firecrackers as an offensive/defense attack method and for pranks. He also possesses a high opinion of himself, and usually doesn’t get involved in things he thinks he won’t get anything out of. In spite of his antisocial disposition, he holds a soft spot for children. However Whizbang does have a temper. And when he is incredibly angry, thick black smoke will come out of his nose accompanied by the sound of a train horn and he will chase down the one responsible for angering him.

Being an animal toon, he can't talk to humanoid toon characters and people, with the exception of supernatural characters. But he does have human intelligence and can speak to other non-anthropomorphic animals. The audience can read/hear his thoughts at times in scenes that revolve around him, but anthropomorphic characters can’t understand his speech. Despite his lack of speech to humanoid characters, he can display his emotions via facial expressions and body language.

Whizbang has his own studio called Rushflow Production Studios that he shares with his cartoon coyote knight co-star, Sir Golly. Both of them star in the series, "William Thatch's Sir Golly & Whizbang". Their creator is William Thatch.

This is a starter fanfiction story of a toon alternate universe idea me and @the-vampire-inside-me have been brainstorming together and it’s going to get bigger. :) 

It basically has toon characters from Disney, Bendy, Cuphead, and various other cartoons, games, and studios many people are familiar with or recognize. Few of the characters in our AU are OCs owned by me and vampire.

Folly Five AU  - Little Devil Darling

It was quiet inside the warehouse. Too quiet, to be exact.

All the silence and the creaking wooden floors put Whizbang on edge. He had hidden himself in one of the many empty rooms of the building. The young dragon had backed himself against the room corner in the shadows, facing the doorway from the right side, “…..” After a few moments, Whizbang crept towards the open doorway, staring out at the hallway from a distance. He soon spotted the sinister shadow of the ink demon appear on the wooden walls outside the room, bearing a twisted evil grin. The shadow seemed to have come alive as it turned its head towards Whizbang’s direction! “A-Ah…!” The sight made Whizbang quickly crawl back to the room corner and curl up with a stifling gasp. He quickly calmed himself down with a few deep breaths, “Pull it together, Whiz. You’re a dragon, a feared creature of mythology here… You can’t be scared of a… monster…” The black dragon suddenly tensed. The footsteps were growing closer. From the sounds of them, they were small. Perhaps the devil had changed back to his small normal form to easily navigate through the abandoned warehouse. Perfect. Whizbang can take out this demon when it is most vulnerable and weak. Whizbang found himself shaking, out of growing fear - and anticipation. This was his chance to end his living nightmare. The demon was getting closer to the room. It was now or never.

A fun Folly Five Toon AU idea. In times of making a quick escape when doing pranks on other toons, Bendy and Whizbang would sometimes make their escapes comical if things don't go as planned. If Bendy gets cornered, Whizbang is usually the one who carries the little devil away to safety.

Of course if Bendy feels that whoever is chasing them is gaining on them in spite of Whizbang's quadraped speed, he could always carry Whizbang instead and speed ahead. Not that Whizbang is complaining. X3

Character reference of Folly Five AU Bendy and his monster form. Folly Five Bendy is a charismatic, friendly, and a bit egotistical but he’s mischievous and has inner demonic tendencies. He got the bitemark on his forehead from his first meeting with baby Whizbang, but he easily covers it up with his ink.

Folly Five Bendy can transform into a large monster version of himself at will either from the ink coming from himself or the amount of available ink surrounding him. In this form, his control over ink is terrifying and it makes him a force to be reckoned with. Bendy mostly turns into this form when scaring other toons or humans, even friends at times. When confronting larger enemies, Folly Five Bendy turns into this form to engage them. His white pupils change depending on his mood. Like a cat, he can narrow his pupils to slits when when he’s angry, threatened, or on a rampage. While docile or happy, his pupils turn round.

Third story part of the Folly Five AU. After leaving their studio, Whizbang and his toon co-star finally move to Toontown, but Whizbang runs into someone he hoped he never see again. When they both left Rushflow Productions in Los Angeles, Sir Golly and Whizbang followed the crowd of other toons who wereo n their way to Toontown. They walked, trotted, and bounced past human residents and eventually ventured out of the city limits. The coyote knight and his dragon companion approached a road tunnel and entered its depths with their fellow animated icons, walking down the dark passageway.

“….” Whizbang felt slightly nervous. For the first time, he was leaving his studio home and familiar L.A. terrority, but at the same time, he’s moving into another world. A world that he wasn’t ready for back then. Whizbang shook his head. No. He was ready, he can do it. With Sir Golly here with him, he was going to be fine.

Folly Five AU  - Sharing Creators

Since Whizbang’s return to Rushflow Production studios by a devil toon in the late 1929s, the baby dragon was kept under careful watch by his creator, William Thatch, and his crew of studio staff members. During the course of their first episode’s production, William would eventually redesign Whizbang to be a bit more tame than he was as a hatchling. The black and white, toon dragon became a teenager overnight as a result of his design being changed by his creator. He remained a quadraped, stood at the height of 3 feet with fully developed wings, back spines, and paws containing equally colored claws. Whizbang was a major toon character improvement, but he still retained his mischievous nature. Fortunately for William and company, the toon dragon was smart enough to not go overboard with his pranks within studio grounds. Because of his animalistic qualities and lack of speech, the studio staff sometimes forget that Whizbang has intelligence that rivals that of a human’s. And those who are familiar with the dragon are careful not to underestimate him.

Folly Five AU  - The Scaley Trickster and The Dancing Demon

The Tooniverse. A world between the real world and the world-between. Cartoon characters that were ever created go here to call home.  It was during the olden days of black-and-white when cartoon characters would gather in the growing settlement of Toontown. When they aren’t doing their jobs in playing their cartoons, toon characters would come to Toontown to relax, rest, spend time with friends and family, and most of all have fun. Main cartoon stars and their co-stars would leave the studios of their workplace to retire for a hard day’s work until they are called back. Most characters play roles that are identical to when they are off the set, while others have opposite personalities. Toontown is reminiscent to the real world, such as the presence of toon crime, violence, and other things. But it was otherwise a nice establishment, where toons come and work together as a team. Everyday was the usual for the toons.  Except for one little fella.
