28 // 07 // 2023. i want to change
hi! it's been a while (this is the second time i say this)
i wanted to spill my thoughts about some things that have been bothering me for a while now. you see, i really don't know who i am as an artist! i don't know what i want to make with my music and which direction to move. so this is a reminder to myself that i (currently) want to change my ways! i want to stop chasing after one particular aesthetic and trying to put myself musically into one box.
i have a lot of projects and ideas in my head and i can't wait to make them real, but! it will take a lot of time. when i say a lot, i mean it (soon i will be back at my uni and who knows what schedule will there be for me).
for now, if you want to hear some stuff from me - check my soundcloud! it's a place for my demos, ideas that i don't want to lose, unfinished stuff, etc.
i hope you are doing okay! this summer feels... very chaotic for some reason. i hope you are taking care of yourself and giving yourself time to rest. i guess i will see you when i see you!

hi once again! it's been a while, huh?
(almost two months!)
as you might already know, i have a debut project that is coming out in about two-three hours! it's called "making sounds ! ! !" and i've been making it for a year or so. i wanted to write a lengthy blog post about my thoughts during the writing process and what i want to do next, so if that's something you are interested in - keep reading!
to be honest i truly feel like i've learned a lot of stuff while working on this project. it's was hard to start working on it because i didn't exactly know what i even wanted to make? i've always dreamed about making or just simply having a record of my own. something that meant a lot for me. aaand now i have a thing! that i made! by myself!
even though it is just a collection of songs that i have wrote for the first time, i truly like this project because it is my first one! i think there is definitely a lot of pressure when people talk about someone's debut and how it's going to be. i tried my best to make it somewhat cohesive? that was also very hard...
i also had a lot of thoughts about future things, future projects and whatnot. i thought about having to listen to "making sounds ! ! !" in the future and how i might (and i hate to use this word) cringe at myself for making it in the first place. and i do think that's healthy! i do think it's okay to be embarrassed of your first creations. but also it is important not to dwell on it that much. this version of me that made "making sounds ! ! !" will, of course, change with time and i'm very excited about that. i'm excited about what future me will write and do!
being myself is a very crucial step in making any kind of art. sometimes it is very hard but other times it is very easy. the same thing goes with expressing what i want to express and letting myself write about things that are hard to explain sometimes (or even about the unexplainable stuff).
i also learned that making music means that sometimes it is very easy to just overshare every single bit of your art because you are so excited to make something cool. i definitely should keep my eyes on that lol
last thing that i will say for now is that i truly need to let myself write about what i want to write about and let myself work on stuff properly! maybe change some gears! do something new! might be fun :]
not promising anything big in the future buuut
more things to come :]

hi! i haven't been here for a while!
i just want to update some things and make an announcement! i'm not going to be posting stuff (poems, music, etc.) for probably a month or two? since i have a lot of uni work and my semester is going to end soon... but it doesn't mean that i won't be reblogging stuff!!! i am back on my reblogging duty babey
and also... my little project called "making sounds ! ! !" is coming out very soon! i don't really know the release date myself but it will probably come out in june/july of this year. i hope i can finish it in time........

"instructions on how to make an artist"
read it carefully, do it step by step
and when you do, don't be too modest
"this artist's work will make you weep"
step one, perform a vivisection,
take everything out and leave the mold
you have to do it, there's no exception
you have to tear that heart of gold
step two, they say that inspiration
it is a quilt made up of different things,
a thing before the birth of the creation
which is a project, pulling at your strings
step three, make me into a better artist
just cut me up and sew me back
no heart, no soul, screw all that was harnessed
no light is seeping through the crack
all that's left of me, a single thread
that someone will use for their own pleasure
can't hang onto myself, but i will drape instead

i'm trembling when typing this,
i really need to get this out of me
i'm spiraling because of doom,
a dwelling tincture of the gloom;
a quiet day, a heavy body
i almost break but then i feel
the comfort of the breath that's warm
a screen is a window inside the room
with pictures scattered across the wall
with soft warm lamps around them too
i hear your voice, i feel it now
advices that i need somehow
i can't tell it straightforward
but i'll try nonetheless
i admire you so much
all the words and the pauses
they surround me
i'm here and i'm safe
