shes VERY worth seeing in the comics !

i need to reread them myself, but it takes place sometime before aor starts, and she got SUCH a glow-up its not even funny.. and in the novel she's said to has a really nice voice ;3

Truly, there are very few of these decrepit-looking monstrosities that Skeksa is somehow involved with ; truly, they are comically inept at keeping up their appearances since settling into the obsidian castle, they are only a fraction of how well-kept those who have resided elsewhere. at the very least, of all the things that have not changed, SkeklIi brought a sharp-toothed smile to the Mariner's dual-colored maw, something that the towering sea-farer didn't know she missed until it was long gone.

I love how in The Dark Crystal you have all these just absolutely horrific and disgusting bird monsters and then SkekSa just canonically:

   you best believe this behemoth of a lady, despite her rough & domineering exterior, is a romantic.  she likes the idea of romance & the courtship that leads to it, but Skeksa is very picky when it comes to whom she may actually attempt to romance & vice-versa.

   flings are easy.  exposing your heart to another ?  too risky.

   skeksa ? only being friends with MAYBE three of the eighteen skeksis ?  yes, very much so.

OKAY SO-- apparently there's been one fan who's been obsessed with this background character since S1E8 dropped, and has been harassing Viv about it in the comments section under many of her tweets

so when she responded and gave him his """name""" it ended up being something obviously ridiculous that wasn't to be taken seriously just to placate this one crazed fan

the name she gave him btw is fucking... Pinklie Winkurlton III

im ignoring viv's trivia-canon due to the nature of how this character was "named" and so i will be giving him a PROPER name
