I might be creating a new blog that's going to be very selfshipping centered (and still going to include my average shitposts) because it was a matter of time before I got back into the selfshipping parts of Tumblr and I refuse to be ashamed about it

so I kinda want to rant for a second
I wish I had a small nose. I hate it when I look in the mirror and I see my big fat nose between my glasses. My mom made fun of me for having a hooked nose because “it looked fat” and I’m always so self conscious about wearing a mask because I don’t want to show my nose to others. I get reminded everyday of how small button noses are the beauty standard, and me having a hooked nose as well as having dark body hair makes it hard to accept myself sometimes
It’s actually interesting you sent this to me because a few days before you posted this I was talking about this:
It is highly unfortunate that the beauty standards are set for very particular people and it can really sting thinking that because of how you don’t fit the beauty standard, you can’t be loved or wouldn’t be someones ideal vision
What I can tell you is that your mom is in no place to ever talk about how you look, nobody is ever in a good place to talk about how you look unless it’s “you look tired, are you okay?”. Not to mention fat shouldn’t have to be used as a dirty word.
What personally helps me is that because of my taste in characters and how I personally can find just about anyone really attractive as long as I love them, it helps me feel better that theres at least someone else out there that would be bound to feel the same about me. You don’t have to fit into someone elses standards to ever be considered attractive, no matter how common or uncommon those traits considered attractive might be

Preach. Hardcore coping via the fact I never left the selfshipping community and thinking about kissing characters and such.
Complete agreement. The only reason I care about my grades is souly because I need them if I decide to go to college (and technically i dont gotta go for the job i want but thats a different story)

School is horrendous. I have taken up my math class with learning several different languages and shopping for cars diecasts im too broke to afford (dont follow in my footsteps /gen)
School definitely has a lot of downfalls and is a mass source for provoking insecurities and mental health issues
